Celebrating a promotion, a move and a bonus!
Started out at the bar while we waited for all of our party to arrive. Great service. We were seated and attended to by Carlos. His attention to detail was great. The smoked whiskey went over big time. When the dinner arrived, everything was fantastic and full of flavor. When you want great food, great service, great experience at a great value, look no further. Would highly recommend.
Loved it! Great brunch option at a great price! We will be back soon!
Everything was perfect
We brought our kids for her birthday, and we all had a wonderful time.
Better off going to outback steakhouse for a better steak at a lower price. Manager apologized for slow service but offered no compensation.
The steak and the crab legs were absolutely delicious! The lobster bisque was extremely salty that I didn’t finish it. The asparagus was mushy, wet and not at all appetizing. We didn’t finish that was well. I don’t know if it was just Valentine’s Day but the food overall was mediocre. Although the ambience and the cocktails were absolutely delicious! This was our first time at this restaurant and we will definitely give it another go because we just think it was probably overcrowded and the kitchen didn’t pay as much attention to detail.
My favorite restaurant was a great place for our Valentine's Day brunch. Bottomless mimosas and an omelet, yummm!
We thought we would try The Butchery the evening before Valentine’s Day. It was easy to make a reservation online. This was our first visit. We were seated in a booth by the window. Our server, Alex, was great! At 4:30, the dining room was quiet and not busy. We thought we might try some Happy Hour specials but found those were limited to the bar area. The selection on the dinner menu was good with a nice variety. Prices ranged from the high teens up to about $51. For our taste, prices were in the twenties. Their menu and prices are available online. I am not a fan of cornbread, but their jalapeño cornbread was delicious and came with the meal. Service was great and the food was delivered at just the right times. Excellent preparation and taste. I had never had lamb and may not again. Not because it wasn’t perfectly prepared, but because my favorites still tend toward beef, pork, or fish. There were many choices of those. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Butchery for our early Valentine’s dinner. We look forward to our next visit. Maybe even for a breakfast or lunch.
We absolutely love The Butchery!
An amazing steakhouse with seafood and lamb options that are always perfectly done.
The service is exceptional and most servers have been there for quite some time. It shows in their dedication and they seem to really love their jobs.
One trip and you could he regulars!
The Butchery was a wonderful restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We were seated in an area that was off the main dining room which made it a great setting for having wonderful conversations. Our waiter was outstanding and provided great insight on the cocktail and lunch menu. Three of us had burgers and one had the Spicy Rueben. The birthday cinnamon dessert terrific and was a very nice touch. We can't wait to go back for the dinner menu.
Looking for a Breakfast, Lunch and dinner restaurant close to home. Great food!
This was my second time going to The Butchery. The first time everything was perfect service, food, and ambience. This time the food was still excellent but the service left something to be desired.
The server was either extremely new or had a lot of other things going on. The server was unfamilar with the menu and the daily specials which is understandable for a newer server. It took 20+ minutes for our drinks (1 beer, 1 sangria, 1 vodka tonic, 1 gin n tonic) to arrive after we ordered the drinks which was a little frustrating but they were eventually delivered by the bartender. We had to wait another 10-15 minutes to place our food order with the server after the bartender delivered our drinks. When the food arrived one of the orders was incorrect which is fine it happens but just left a frustrating feeling after waiting so long.
The first time I went with my wife and we had a fabulous time the waiter was amazing and very attentive. After such a great experience I wanted to treat my parents to a birthday dinner but the poor service was a bummer on the evening. Again all of the food was delicious just had a bad experience with the server. For the price of the meal I'm not sure if I want to gamble going back or not and having poor service again.
I've been to this restaurant twice now for breakfast/lunch. The food is good and very well priced, but our last visit had a few hiccups. The menu prices may not be fully updated as our check had one of our meals as $2 more then the menu price. The burger we ordered also looked delicious, but came out over well done when we asked for medium. This resulted in a slightly charred, very dry and not seasoned burger patty. We let these things slide though, but we do plan on going again and if these issues occur again we will bring it up with our server. Overall a great place and we look forward to visiting during their dinner hours in the near future.
Great sevice, great food. A nice quiet ambiance. A real treasure in an out of the way neighborhood.
The food is always amazing!! Nice portions which are well worth the price. This is my third time dining here and I plan to continue to dine here in the future while recommending it to friends.
Great place great food. Service with Carlos was excellent. The four of us did not have a single problem. Highly recommend eating here.
The wait person did not offer the soup of the day, felt like we should not have to ask
The wait person emptied the bottle of wine, left with it & cork. Felt like the wine serving should have been smaller & left the bottle for us to serve ourselves the leftover instead of going back around the table to each person to even out each serving just seemed odd to me. Or asked first. Cork that’s more personal - we donate them. & Maybe they do too. Many people collect - presumptive & seemed to be in a hurry to get things cleared. Lastly wait staff did not ask to clear some items, just did it when we weren’t done. So again felt like things were beginning to be rushed. Hmm we were not holding anyone up & it wasn’t even close to closing, many tables occupied when we left. The wait staff did make amends for one of these missteps which was great. I’m only writing as a training to benefit future customers & the eatery.
Food was outstanding. The wine list was adequate - anyone could fine something they liked. Timing was also pretty good.
Wait, wait, wait. We waited for a table to be prepared for our reservation and waited excessively every step of the experience. Although we were not in a hurry, the service was so slow that three of us were there over 3 hours. Our plates sat on the table long after we were finished, we ordered drinks before our food was delivered and didn't receive them until we were completely finished eating.
Was told that the food was abundant (moderate). Apricot Jus Chicken, had low flavor, great crisp on the chicken skin. Polenta goat cheese triangle's didn't have the pungent flavor of goat cheese. Service was excellent.
I’ve been to every “high end” steak house in the city of Denver and this place which is literally eight blocks from my home is up there with any of them. Pleasant surprise.
This is a great local restaurant that does a wonderful job. Nice place and great value!
Great food, excellent service, could not be happier. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Definitely will return.
Old establishment with old style food. Steaks are ok, very small portion for the price. Side dishes were over cooked may be days before the serving.
Service was good. Our meals came out hot and the food was delicious.
Will definitely come back.
Two of us ordered the Halibut. Might as well have been eating fish jerky. And the crispy brussel sprouts are just really burned but, I ate them I was hungry. They did take it off my bill and everyone else enjoyed their entrees though. Never order fish in a steakhouse. I guess
Sarah was awesome and so was the food and family. Thank you 😊
Yes, I would recommend. Maybe it would have been better for the dinner menu.
Delicious brunch with great service. I would recommend the Butchery to anyone!
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the rustic mountain ambiance. We ordered the lobster Mac, chophouse salad, Caesar salad, and both got the top sirloin with pine mushrooms. Everything we ordered was delicious, along with good wine and even a free dessert as we went on my birthday. We will absolutely put The Butchery on our list of favorites spots in Arvada.
Food was over seasoned, small portions and overpriced.
Loved everything we experienced that evening! The service was great, explained all the specials and questions we had about the menu. We will definitlly return.
Overall very good. I had the scallops which were excellent. The only reason we did not go 5 stars
on the food was that the 2 in our party that ordered the salmon felt it was average and comparable to
salmon they would have at a lower priced restaurant. The service and ambiance was great and next time
I will order a steak again as my past experience was great with that.
I had high hopes here, but it just didn't hold up. It took a long time to get to us to even ask if we wanted drinks. Our waiter was very nice and having a long conversation with another couple, so maybe the restaurant is under staffed. The signature smoked old fashioned is a little bland, and after the smoke smell clears your table the flavor is non-existent. I ordered the special bison New York strip prepared medium rare as the waiter suggested and it was well cooked but the cut was terrible. Chewy and lines on inedible grissle throughout. My wife's filet was cooked well and tasted right. Perhaps bad ordering on my part. A manager came to see how we were doing and asked if we were celebrating anything when we were near done our mains. When we told him it was my wife's birthday he said he wanted to comp is dessert. Of course, after waiting over half hour for our waiter to come back, we had run out of time and patience, so we got the check and just left. Overall, the experience left me disappointed and I wouldn't rush back.
This was our first time at The Butchery. The atmosphere was cozy and not overly loud. The waitress was nice, but seemed overwhelmed and was forgetful. The crab cake appetizer was mushy and fairly "fishy" tasting, although the sauce was tasty, but there could have been more of it. We also tried the tenderloin and pineapple skewers. The tenderloin was tender, flavorful, and nicely cooked. The pineapple, however, was mostly core. What little of it that could be eaten had to be cut off of it. The sauce on the augratin potatoes had separated, they were dry and bland, the cheese topping was hard and dry, and the temperature was lukewarm, at best, in spite of the fact that they came in their own baking dish. My lobster tails were fairly sweet and tender, but they were cold, as was the clarified butter. My husband's pork chop was tasty, but dry. We had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was tasty, but needed much more of the delicious sauce. Comments from our friends were that the sauce with the ahi tuna was very delicious, although too many sesame seeds on the tuna. The wasabi mashed potatoes had a nice flavor, but were lukewarm. The white cheddar mashed potatoes didn't have much cheddar, and again, were lukewarm. The salmon was nicely cooked and flavorful, but a bit heavy on the bourbon in the glaze.
Overall, our experience at The Butchery was very disappointing, and it was much too expensive for the quality.
We enjoyed the ambiance and service was great. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed our cocktails which were outstanding!!! The food seemed slightly overpriced and the steak was Ok. The menu was creative and there were lots of options. I really enjoyed my dining experience at The Butchery.
I forget our servers name, but he was very efficient, very helpful, and very nice. We enjoyed our lunch very much and he was very patient with us as we had one member of our party who is running a little late. Would definitely recommend The Butchery to anyone.
Best place for brunch. Service great, staff is attentive and management keeps everything together.
The waiter we had could not have seemed less interested in providing good service. No smile, no personality what so ever. We were there shortly before the "lunch" window was ending, however if a restaurant doesn't want to have people there shortly before they close for lunch, they shouldn't offer up the option to reserve a table at that time. Very disappointed.
