The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. The service was very friendly. I was not impressed by my meal it did not have a lot of flavor and it was a little undercooked.
I thought the menu had limited options. The food was average, service was excellent. Very pricey for the quality and quantity. Disappointed with the atmosphere. Was under the impression it was going to be upscale dining
The food was very good, creative and tasty. We enjoyed our meals very much. The restaurant was very quiet, slow night, but the service and attention to detail very high.
Went for brunch. Charmin was fantastic and the egg white omelet was delicious.
Delicious food. Great venue, very private feeling. Service was a little slow, but it wasn’t bad!
The first host that greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. Before she could gather menus & take us to our table another person came up, perhaps a manger. He greeted us abruptly and seemed to take over. Without getting into all the details, his overall attitude was inhospitable. His demeanor while taking us to the table (and trying to gather our guests at the bar) was rigid and made us uncomfortable. We discussed his ‘approach’ several times during the evening.
Please note our server was great, as was the initial host that greeted us.
Everything was amazing!
We ordered soup during lunch, they told us they were still prepping it. Why would you have something on an already limited lunch menu if you weren’t prepared to serve it? We dined at noon, it’s not like we were early birds. I ordered a Caesar salad with steak as my entree. The Caesar had no flavor, the steak was over cooked and fatty and the croutons were rubbery. This was my third time dining here and each time has been lackluster, we only dined here because my lunch guests had a prior meeting on site.
Two comments. First, I don't think that the restaurant was adequately prepared for the PNC conference that was scheduled to begin right after the lunch hour. This meant that a couple hundred of folks that had come in from out of town were looking for some place to eat. And the restaurant was appeared to be overwhelmed with the sudden influx of customers. I had made reservations ahead of time. But, the service was very slow.
As far as the food was concerned, I ordered Eggs Benedict. It was terrible. There was no sauce on the eggs, the ham was very dry and the food was cold. I was afraid to send it back because the restaurant was so busy.
The waitress was very nice but it was clear that she had too many tables. I paid $4.50 for a cup of coffee and I never got a second cup.
I'm sure under normal circumstances, the restaurant is a nice place to eat and I've eaten at many other Hiltons and had great experiences. I would not let one bad meal discourage me from trying it again.
Another terrible restaurant in Cleveland, the middle west capital of the worst dinning in the entire region, although one would think that the upscale environment would predict something decent, that is not the case... the staff could care less and what I had was border line dog food, if you want to be cruel with animals.
If you are looking for a decent meal, go back to your hotel and go to bed early, there is nothing decent in this neighborhood.
What was advertised as an "upscale" restaurant" was far from that. I know it's close to the RNR Hall of Fame and I am a rocker from way back, Another One Bites The Dust playing very loudly is not what I wanted while eating. The server was very nice, the drinks were OK as were the salads. But the entrees..I had the sea bass over risotto and my wife had the squash and eggplant lasagna. My fish was warm, risotto was cold and her eggplant lasagna was cold. We asked to have the eggplant warmed up and our server took it back. A manager came over to apologize and said he would get me fresh risotto. In the meantime I am eating the now less than warm fish over cold risotto while she has nothing. I eat slowly thinking it won't be long right? Just heat it up. 25 minutes later I am finished, the risotto never came and they bring us a newly cooked eggplant lasagna. At that point we said "thanks but no thanks", paid for our drinks and salads and left. Never saw the manager again.
Nice restaurant with excellent service. Unfortunately the price is not fitting for the quality of the meal served. The food was good but not spectacular. Expect pricing just short of Ruth Chris with standard steakhouse quality. 90.00 for a burger, ice tea, glass of wine (also good not great) and petit filet.
It took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. Our server never checked on us after taking our order. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or how our food was. We were attending a show so we had to eat our food within 10 minutes to make it in time since it took so long to get our food. I will say our food was excellent though!
It wasn’t we expected. Although the filet was very tender, it was cold. We had to wait awhile before our waiter attended to us. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Ambiance was not there. It was a very high priced family restaurant. Wasn’t worth the money.
The serving sizes were small for the price we paid. But it was delicious and our server was amazing. The restaurant we beautiful.
We stopped in for a very early 6:30am breakfast on a Saturday after arriving in Cleveland on Amtrak and walking over to the Hilton from the train station. We killed some time in the spacious hotel lobby ahead of time. Kerry greeted us us warmly and seated us as the restaurant was opening, lucky for us in the section where Tenillya was waiting tables! She was such bright and uplifting part of our meal -- she was attentive without being pushy -- she kept our coffee cups full -- and she was patient, as we lingered toward the end, before we strolled off looking for our rental car. There was a small convention going on, and most of those wearing lanyards opted for the breakfast buffet. We desired heartier plates and so went with the corned-beef hash and a corned beef eggs benedict. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant service and our meal. Recommended!
Fabulous view with great food! The waitress had a wonderful personality!
Breakfast buffet was good not great. Sax player annoyingly loud. Server was excellent.
Foodies paradise !
Food was good but a little pricey and "tricked up" Sometimes a burger just needs to be a burger. Service was good but not great. Very loud environment
The most convenient option for breakfast or lunch if you are attending a convention!
Excellent filet and scallops. We loved the dill in the Caesar salad. Service was very good and attentive and servers were knowledgable about the menu and how things are prepare.
Arranged a business breakfast at the Burnham due to the fact it was in the Hilton where I was staying. Greeted promptly and we were seated right away. Ordered drinks and it took a while to get coffee, etc. We decided to have the buffet which included eggs cooked the way you wanted. We waited quite a while, before heading to the buffet, and basically ate the buffet items before our eggs actually arrived at the table. Restaurant appeared to be understaffed. Buffet items were not great. Very pricey for the level of service and quality of the food.
I have eaten at the Burnham in the past and thought that the food and service were good. However, my meal yesterday was little better than okay and the service was pretty bad. After the server took our order, we never saw her again. After a long wait, someone else served us our meal. No one checked on how we were doing or even filled our water glasses. When we were done, we had to ask the bartender (we were sitting near the bar) to have someone bring us our check. All in all, a mediocre experience.
The food was decent, however, we had a very poor experience. It took 40 minutes from the time we ordered a drink to the time it was set on our table. I made these reservations for my boyfriend's birthday a month in advance. We were headed to the Brown's game afterwards and had really nice seats so I set the reservation for two hours prior to kickoff. Unfortunately our dinner service made us late to the game. To add insult to injury, the bill was completely wrong, charging us for things we did not order (extra avocado? substitutions made to all of our drinks?). Very disappointed.
We had to wait 45 min for our food. I would have asked for some compensation, but we were heading to the Browns Game and didn’t want to be late.
The service was slow so make sure you are not in a hurry to have your meal. However, the food was awesome!
Asked for the Pork Chop with the sauce on the side...the risotto made your toes curl.
A group of 4 of us visited The Burnham before the Browns Game on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Our reservation was for 5:00pm and we were seated promptly at 5:00pm. After being seated at 5:00pm, it was not until 6:03pm that we received our salad. It was delivered by a manager who didn’t say a word...just put the salad on the table and walked away. As we ate our salad, we watched several people get up and leave without even ordering food. At 6:20pm, another manager came to our table and apologized for the wait and offered to comp our meals and offered a beverage from the bar. Finally, at 6:41pm we received our meals. The burger and wings were very tasty... the steak, not so much. Fortunately, the game did not start until 8:20pm, so we had time to spare, but would have rather spent it doing something other than waiting for our food.
Started at Bar32, upstairs from restaurant. A must-do visit, drinks awesome, and view is unparalleled in Cleveland’s lake front. At the restaurant we had some great shareable appetizers, along with a tasty wine from the interesting reds list. Our food came perfectly done and the presentation and taste was really yummy. We shared a couple of desserts that were just right. Service was spot on, timed just right for us.
Our get together ended again at Bar32 at night. Very lively at night, a little loud for conversations, but the view from outdoors, 32 feet above the lakefront was a spectacular location for a nightcap.
Creative and very good
Food was delicious and the service was great! Would definitely return.
The breakfast buffet was good. No complaints...
Our server was exceptional.
My first visit to The Burham was excellent. I enjoyed one of the best burgers I have had and my date had the sea bass, which was excellent. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. To make this experience even better, this restaurant is a Great Lakes Friendly Restaurant...the main reason I wanted to try it out. Great food and an environmentally conscious business...well done.
I absolutely had one of the best dinners ever. This place deserves more credit than it gets. Our food was perfect and I’m not just saying that it was carefully cooked to perfection. Such a peaceful place to be for our anniversary
Too bad no lake view
Great patio. Good service. Average overpriced food.
While the food was good and the service reasonably attentive, our food took quite a long time to be served. Apparently, the relatively small kitchen visible from the seating area serves not only the Burnham but also other food service spaces in the Hilton hotel, including room service. The night we dined, these other spaces along with the Burnham were slammed, causing the kitchen to back up and delaying the preparation of our food. It may be difficult to predict when this might happen again, but big sporting events or the presence of large conventions might cause this, and we would probably take this into account when reserving again.
We waited an hour and a half for food.
