The Bull Valley Roadhouse serves American roadhouse food prepared from scratch with century-old techniques using fresh ingredients from our favorite small farms. A beacon at the end of a canyon road in the historic dock town of Port Costa, the roadhouse welcomes locals, travelers and adventurous day-trippers alike in its 1897 landmark dining room and bar. Stepping into the saloon-like rooms, guests can sense more than 100 years of hospitality. The proprietors strive to maintain that warm tradition and leave everyone feeling relaxed, well fed and eager to return. Look for us under the golden bull.

The bar makes the best cocktails using handmade ingredients and unusual blends. The restaurant has an unusual choice to go "family style", which is ordering two things from each section of the menu. The food is excellent but somewhat overpriced. $16 for toasted bread and a dip. the pork chop has restored my faith in pork chops as it was unbelievably delicious.

Brunch at BVR was fantastic! The food was superb and the creative variations on bloody Mary’s were great. The end of the road feeling of Port Costa make the food, service and setting all the more special.

Awesome! Again.
Where else can you have Moules/frites with a Fiano?
Awesome Old Fashion style cocktail befote and Bourbon Caramel cake after. PERFECT
