The Bull Valley Roadhouse serves American roadhouse food prepared from scratch with century-old techniques using fresh ingredients from our favorite small farms. A beacon at the end of a canyon road in the historic dock town of Port Costa, the roadhouse welcomes locals, travelers and adventurous day-trippers alike in its 1897 landmark dining room and bar. Stepping into the saloon-like rooms, guests can sense more than 100 years of hospitality. Always a treat to enjoy. Looked forward to their mussels but they ran out. This actually allowed us to try other dishes. The tempur Cod was great. Braised kale and mashed potatoes delicious. Service is always good. Very attentive. All round good evening.

This restaurant is one of my favorite for sure. Because it is so different from any other restaurant, we always invite there our friends from out of the aera and are nit familiar with this restaurant. It is a scenic drive there. The menu is small, but there is for something for everybody. We always order the Fried Chicken, which they are famous for rightfully so. It is crispy on the outside and very moist inside. We also ordered the Smoked pork chops. We started with Burrata cheese on toasts and Brussels Sprouts. They were both delicious. The mashed potatoes were out of this world, like homemade style. For Dessert we had the Olive oil cake with Blood Orange sauce. The portions are Family style, so for 4 people you can order 2 entrees and 2 sides and 2 desserts. The service is outstanding. Great classic drinks from prohibition.! Can't wait to go back!

Great food and service! One issue we had was the bill. We were charged $42 for an item on the menu which was listed at$27. Also got two orders of the exact same cocktail, one was price at $12 and the other $13. The price was changed after I luckily caught it on the bill.

Food was fantastic as always, service was not as stellar as previous visits. Nothing serious, but it did detract from the overall experience.

Unbelievable find in of all places...Port Costa! Place is has great decor, food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. Very casual atmosphere. I would recommend this place to everyone!

This is one of my favorite restaurants I like the food the atmosphere, to my surprise this past Friday the service was not the best we were seated to share a table with people we did not know and I asked for a table for two which they told me were not available , I walked around the room and most of the tables were empty when I asked the waiter the answer was that it is the system that had the people per table. It is the first time that happens to us this I left very upset with the service, I will return but when I pass the courage because the service on this occasion was not the best.
