The Buffet at Hyatt Waikiki
Loved it. High quality food. Worth a visit. Nice after sunset
Buffet definitely is not worth $65.00. Seen more choices at Chinese buffetts. Maybe if went in and ate your fill of only king crab legs then maybe, maybe.
Loved it here! The scallops and oysters were particularly good, as well as the crab legs which is always good. The pesto pasta and creamy udon pasta was unbelievable and the desserts were amazing. Staff is great, food is exceptional, what's not to like? Will be back again and again in the future.
Very professional staff.
Fresh delicious seafood, nothing was bland or overcooked. The raw oysters were excellent and the crab legs were perfectly done. No waiting if you go early, it was busy after 7pm. Very attentive and friendly waiters. Best buffet in Waikiki.

The food is good and tasty specially for the value.
They have 2 kinds of crab, and you can have them steamed if you like your crab to be warm.
The location is right accross the Waikiki Beach and the sunset was quite beautiful. Friendly people to serve and greet you. Spot on with the slice of cake with candle and a piece of chocolate with writing that says Happy Birthday. Overall,it was a pleasant experience👍🏼👍🏼
Service was good. The food in my opinion is good with the exception of star of the show... the crab and the prime rib. The crab are frozen and are soaked with water.... they have no taste... you have to squeeze the water out of the crab meat to get a faint taste of it.... everything else was good.
This was the finest buffet we have ever been to! And among the best meals we have ever eaten, and my partner is a chef so that says a lot. Our waitress was incredible, very attentive and fun/nice which made the entire experience five star!!!
David was our server and he was great, happy helpful and very gracious...
love this place! Definitely coming back. Our waiter was amazing.
This place never fails when it comes to seafood: poached prawns, scallops on the half shell, fresh oysters, snow crab legs, and king crab legs; and they are all endless!!! Love it so much!
Pamela our server was the best. She was very attentive to our needs. I prefer hot crab legs at buffets. I didn't appreciate having to ask to get it heated. The food was excellent. I ate till it hurt, and didn't get to sample at least half of what was there. I guess I'll have to come back. I really appreciated the kamaaina rate and free parking. My family will be back for most of our special occasions. We were very impressed. Hopefully we'll get better seating next time. I didn't like being seated in what amounts to the hallway, and given a weak excuse for seating us there. Our seats were closer to the food which was a plus. No view. No entertainment. If it was there, I didn't see it or hear it. I still loved it and I will be back many more times and I will recommend your place to friends and family.
The location, ambiance and service was fantastic. Pam did an excellent job of taking care of us and very friendly and accommodating . For the price there was not many options for the hot buffet. The crab legs we know must be frozen but were of very poor quality. Tasted freezer burned and some were rancid. Sushi rolls had half inch or rice all around and mostly imitation crab. I really wanted to ignore the 3.2 star rating on the yelp and give this a chance.
Excellent all the way around! Great food! Great service! Shout out to our guy Terry mahalo! Best deal in town at $69 a person!
Food was excellent and plentiful. I like my crab legs hot and although they were served cold, the waiter could heat them up for you.
The Hyatt buffet waikiki in Shor is getting worse. When they first opened they were good but now it wasn't up to par and they are getting stingy now they have no sashimi or ahi nigiri or handroll station and no fresh catch of the day fish. main course was not as good as before and the price was not worth it for what they offered. Better to go sheraton or marriot.
The buffet was good. Wish the crab legs were served hot instead of cold. Love the variety of soft serve ice cream! I actually ate 2 ice cream cones!
We checked in a little early for our reservation but then waited 1/2 hr. I finally got up to check on our reservation & the host acted like she had forgotten us. She said sumimasen which means sorry in Japanese. It was kind of frustrating because our family was starving & we made sure we were early.
The carving station was really awesome! The hot table could use better food, and heating was bad. The food was cold and soggie. Desserts weren't that good either. The salad bar looked really bright and inviting. I liked the humus.
Always wonderful service! Food is delicious, desserts could be a little better. Caters too Japan tourist. Not sweet like Americans like it.
Arnold and Sean, fabulous servers. Come back time and time and recommend anyone to be sat in their sections. Drinks always filled or brought from the bar quickly. Table maintains excellent. Very friendly!
Simon our waiter was outstanding and so personable. We appreciated your service. Food was great!
There were not enough choices and the quality of seafood was fair.
This was the 2nd time in a two-week vacation we chose to eat here. The food is fabulous plentiful and they have a wide variety of choices. Of course the best is the fresh seafood. The prime rib is perfect. The service at the tables taking away used dishes and bringing drinks is excellent. Loved every minute and every bite.
Glad we made reservations on Open Table. Walk ins had to wait over an hour. Food was so so tasty. No typical buffet "fillers" here. Came especially for the king crab... but blown away by the other dishes too. Pastas, high quality desserts, various local hummus, prime rib was soooo tasty and tender, somen bar, steamed fish, chunky seafood chowder and even their parm roasted potatoes will wow you!!!! And with their offering of king crab... best buffet in town!!! Can't wait to come back!
Great food and waiter he super nice and good service
Overall was a great experience, our server was so nice. The only thing we did not like was the crab tasted freezer burned, no sashimi & not as much sushi choice as we remembered from the last time we came.
Our server Shawn was awesome The Buffet is lucky to have him.
The service was great! Food was good but I wish there was more selections. Small area of where the food ia being served.
Awesome service from Pam. The food was amazing and well worth the Valentines Day Special plus Kamaaina Rate (:
Went here mainly for the crab legs which was good. The prime rib was overcooked & dry. Sushi selection was minimal. Overall, buffet was ok but probably would t go there again because of price.
The layout of the restaurant was not situated well. We were seated in a main pathway with no view. The main dining area had entertainment but the way diners were seated, did not take advantage
What a great place for dinner. We went for Valentine's day and the view was great. Service was the best thanks to our server Shawn.
King crab was served cold some was mushy tasted old. Most of the desserts were tasteless . Some of the food was tasteless not enough seasoning . Good thing the service was excellent! If the service was bad , it would have bin a very bad Valentines Day for my wife and I
Everything was wonderful, from the easy check in process (don't forget to use your five star reward program) to the delicious dinner.
We arrived a little earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us and get us seated quickly. Our server was awesome and unfortunately I forgot to get his name but he was an older Chinese guy, super friendly and our table was always clean when we came back with more food.
The highlight of this place has to be the snow and king crabs. The scallops and oysters are good too but the hot food line was just okay. I'm pretty sure if you ate it when the restaurant first opens it'll be a lot better but it also gives me an excuse to come back here next time to try out the other dishes on their rotating menu on the weekdays.
A really good deal if you are a local and show them your drivers license or state id.
Very nice place.
Great food, reasonable price and excellent service!!!
Our waiter was very friendly and willing to help in every way.
Our food was very good (the most crab I’ve eaten in a long time). Our waitress was phenomenal ( I forgot her name but she walked with a slight limp). The kamaaina rate rocks too along with validated valet parking. Will definitely return
Fun evening dining with my parents and nephew. Server was very nice, pleasant, funny and mindful. Overall, a great dining experience
The food was beyond delicious and such a great variety. I already told people how good it was. They even gave my daughter and father in law birthday cakes separate from the buffet.
If you love fresh food and seafood then there is just one word for this buffet:FABULOUS!
It has everything from soup to nuts.
Including prime rib and chicken dishes too if you are not a seafood lover.
And the frozen mango daiquiri was terrific.
I prefer my crab hot and dipped in butter. They only had cold crab legs which is nit the same to dip in hot butter which they did have. Prime rib was awesome.
