Having lived in Cville when Brick Oven opened, we had eaten here years ago. Back in town for a football game, we chose to go there again for my husband's birthday as we wanted somewhere casual for after the game. We also wanted to eat somewhere close to our hotel to avoid traffic. Interior is basic but warm and cozy. There is a salad bar now...looked good but we didn't have salad. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered a variety...pizza, calzones, pasta dish, buffalo Mac-cheese. everything was delicious except the buffalo mac-cheese. It just didn't have a good flavor and didn't really taste like buffalo anything. We all tried a bite to confirm my husband's opinion. It just wasn't very good and when the owner came to ask about our dinner, we told him. He was very understanding and gracious. He offered another entree and didn't charge us for it. My husband didn't want anything else but did accept a cannoli from the owner. Other than that, the pizzas, calzones and other pasta dish were all delicious. The pizza was my favorite (always is ). Overall, we will return to Brick Oven and were very happy w our meal.

Pretty shocked that strip mall pizza place is on Open Table. When we arrived they didn't care (or even look) that we had a reservation. It was first come, first seated. Basic décor, lots of noisy kids. They do have a brick oven and the pizza is good. But if you are looking for some special wine (they have wine) and a nice quiet dinner with a bit of ambiance this is not the place. It is also quite a ways away from downtown or UVA.

Our waitress was excellent-personable, noticed when we might need a beverage refill, and checked on us frequently. our personal pizzas were delicious and we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.

Excellent food and exceptional service. My family of eight celebrated my sons graduation here. This was our first time here and will be our go to, in the future. Thank you from the Massey family.

Not sure whether we were credited for this visit with OpenTable-it appears not. That said, the pizza was delicious and our waiter (Jerry) was friendly, patient, helpful, and attentive.

Highly recommend! The new ownership has updated the décor and expanded the menu. We've tried pizza at other restaurants and will continue to come back here. Our pizzas were great!
