The Bombay Club
The bar is well known for the best cocktail selection in town - single malt scotches, ports, and reserved bourbons.
The Bombay Club features a sophisticated menu that uses only the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
Great food. Great ambiance. Love.
Limited menu but the food is very good. Upbeat jazz music in an English Pub was a little off but it is New Orleans.
Great drinks, service and food!
The ambiance is probably one of the BEST in New Orleans! The private feel of our little, romantic booth was amazing and our waitress was phenomenal! If my review was solely dependent on the drinks we ordered and ambiance, i would have given the place 5 stars across the board! However, the food was SO salty. I ordered what would be the shrimp and grits and my boyfriend ordered the burger. I couldn’t eat half of my dish, because it was that salty. Now, i love my salt. I’m from MS where we put salt on our salt, then fry it. If i have to stop eating a dish, because there’s too much salt, there’s a problem. My boyfriend said his burger was on the salty side, but not nearly as bad as mine. He enjoyed what he ordered! Other than that one complaint, this place is Amazing!!
The customer service was extraordinary from the time we walked in the door. Our waitress, Ashley, was courteous, prompt, and patient. She took the time to answer all our questions about menu items and drinks. She offered recommendations that were spot on. I will definitely recommend this place.
Second time eating. First time wonderful, this wasn’t one of them. Very disappointed in every aspect of it!!
Love being able to combine or share small plates. Creative menu. Shrimp salad roll was incredible!
great place, service and ambience. However we were expecting a jazz show (as per the listing), not a piano bar. will double check the listings next time.
Food was overpriced for what it was. Bland. Just a piano player for music, not band. Had requested happy birthday, but never got. Service was very slow. Nice but slow.
There has apparently been a change in the program and service at the Bombay Club. We were very
disappointed. The music has changed no longer the jazz trio but only a solo by a mediocre player. We
noticed a lot of empty tables and people arriving and then quickly leaving.
The Hunter Chicken dish which I have ordered for many years has a much small portion of chicken.
This place has relaxed, low-light ambiance which is nice, and the service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was abysmal. We went for their Thanksgiving dinner and most things on the plate tasted like they may have been frozen at some point in their recent past. Hopefully, their standard menu fare is better, but I wouldn't roll the dice when you're in a city with so many fantastic dining options.
Lovely "old-worldy" bar/restaurant in New Orleans. Service was attentive without being intrusive and a great range of cocktails.
Brussels sprouts are awesome, a must have.
Bombay is one of my favorite restaurants in Nola! I’ve been here three times this past year! Me and my friend discovered it on opentable and have been obsessed ever since! They have the best happy hour specials and the happy hour times are incredible! They also have some small bites during happy hour that are phenomenal! Tonight I just went to dinner by myself on the way back from a play! I sat outside and it was a wonderful experience! My waiter was attentive and helpful! The patio was very chill, even after a Saints game! I ordered the Caesar salad and the crab and chorizo beignets! Those beignets are life changing and one of my favorite things they have! Also had a cheeky cocktail as it was happy hour and I got the A Bitter Cucumber! Sooo refreshing and delicious!
Food and drinks were amazing, but our server didn’t match that level of standard. We definitely would’ve ordered more drinks, etc. had we seen our waitress more frequently! However, the food was spectacular!
The Bombay Club never disappoints!! The drinks are so creative and the food is always excellent. If you have pasta or a burger, it is always so good! Even their happy hour snacks are delish!!!
Overall, enjoyed the food and drink. But the drinks took more time than normal. We were given the excuse that they were finishing up with happy hour. Sorry but happy hour patrons should trump restusrant patrons.
Nice establishment in the French quarter away from the noise. Excellent bar and tasty menu, though not many options and a bit expensive. If your looking for a quiet place to eat and relax with friends while enjoying New Orleans night life, not a bad choice.
Our initial service was confusing. My drink was ordered after my table mates ( they brought theirs from the bar). We had to ask several times for it and it was wrong when it finally came. The manager was excellent and went out of his way to correct the matter, educating us on Martinis along the way. The food was really good. Nice intimate atmosphere.
In a week's worth of amazing meals, this was the best. The experience was everything one could hope for from a place of this name. Food and cocktails delicious, ambiance wonderful, service attentive and personal. Delightful all around.
Amazing food and great experience!!!
Good food and service. Enjoyed the music during dinner. Would recommend!
The food was spectacular. We arrived early enough for happy hour. Had the pork tacos. For dinner we had the short ribs and Brussels sprouts. Every bite was amazing.
Service was awesome!
The food was ok, pricing is to high for the value. Service was great as was the atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend eating dinner here but would recommend going to their happy hour which is a great deal on drinks and appetizers.
Sat at the bar and had a lovely time. Bartender was nice and made the best Sazerac . Food was good, but the cheesecake was different than I’m used to, and thought maybe that’s how it’s done in the south. Overall, I’d go back again.
While everything about it was pretty good, there are so many excellent restaurants in New Orleans not sure I would go back to this one.
A bit off the beaten path with a great atmosphere. Food and drinks were very respectable. They had a piano player at one point during the evening. We'll definitely go to The Bombay Club again!
Live music without the chaos of nearby Bourbon Street, excellent food and service in a old fashioned English gentleman's club environment. It's a staple everytime I'm in NOLA. Dont miss it.
Have dined at Bombay Club twice. Never disappointed. Great food and ambiance!
Great atmosphere, drinks & dinner
Outstanding dishes and Cocktails!
The server was very distracted. Mixing up orders, forgetting things we ordered (albeit not charging for the forgotten items). Not getting the orders straight once ordered. Very frustrating. The some segments of our orders were very salty and others were perfectly fine. The boudin appetizer balls, crab cake beignets and hummus were very good. Our salads forgotten completely. Entrees overly salty overall.
Love the atmosphere of this place and would really want to spend many more evenings here, but just don’t see that happening. Maybe for late night drink when we really have no other options. AND maybe for a light snack, but not for dinner. Sadly.
Waiter service needs to greatly step up. .......Really destroyed the evening.
The steak was really nice but the fries were burnt. I was a bit disappointed as recommended by a friend. Lacked ambience really
A nice bar and good restaurant set away from from the wildlife of Bourbon Street. Good food, lovely cocktails and good live music too. If you want to be able to have a conversation with your friend/family/date - this place works.
Awesome live music!
My husband and I went to hear Cassie Krebs play bass and sing jazz. She was superb! We met up with friends and decided to have drinks then dinner. The service was friendly and fast. The beverage menu was extensive... cocktails, wine, spirits and beer. We all got what we wanted and enjoyed it. They make a good French 75. Dinners were delish, bar food. Good fries. Decent burger. Well prepared fish and short ribs. Friends had a beet salad and loved it. We were close enough to Cassie that the noise level didn't interfere with hearing her. The woman belts a song with a full, rich voice. But, it was too noisy to talk. Fortunately, we were in for listening anyway.
Very cozy and romantic. Highly recommend the escargot.
I made a reservation at the very last seating time which was 9:45 on a Tuesday. Got there 5 minutes late and as soon as I walked in the barman told me it was last call. I said I had a reservation for 4. So Robin jumps in and just tells me to pick whatever table I want. I said I was sorry for being late and that if they had to close I’d just go somewhere else. He said we should accommodate ourselves and the server would be with us shortly. Long story short we had a great dinner, the place is awesome and the service is beyond remarkable. Great short ribs and even better Brussels sprouts.
Everything was good but our server wasn’t very attentive, the appetizer and the main course were great but there was an issue with the dessert it was a brownie that was supposed to come with ice cream and it didn’t I asked the manager about it he was very helpful and corrected the oversight immediately I was impressed with him he’s always good to me when I come. I think it was just a case of a great meal with a server who seemed distracted somewhat. Still happy with the place and will come again.
