We went to celebrate an anniversary. I thought our waitress was exceedingly knowledgeable - offered us menu tips and worked to make sure we always had everything we needed. I had a wedge salad, add steak, medium (cooked perfectly), husband had the Salmon which looked great - we shared sides of Lobster Mac&Cheese and Whipped Potatoes. Carb delight! It is loud inside, but expected given the building design. Would go again!
My husband’s burger was almost raw, although asked for medium well and the server disappeared for 35 minutes from the time we finished our meal and waited for the ticket. We had to have another server to get our ticket.
As always, a great meal. The beets were exceptional.
Great food and wine, I had the flank steak, it was excellent. I'd stay away from the pork belly app unless you like alot of fat with pb. I didn't care for it... Otherwise, the olives are a great app !
The New York strip was one of the best I've ever had! Don't forget the bubbling swiss!
This place is s little pricey, but being in the Pearl, they have to have major overhead. We split appetizers and a salad and everything tasted spot on. I wouldn’t pay $50 for a New York Strip here, as I have a few other favorite Prime Steakhouses in town that I know will be cooked to perfection. I live at the Pearl and will definitely come here again. The service and many appetizers we shared were top notch and definitely worth a recommendation to friends, as well as coming here again to enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere.
Sunday brunch and the food is amazing! Staff are always polite and service is good.
We got drinks and apps, the beef tenderloin was to die for- so tender and perfect spicing, venison sliders- perfect little bite, the lobster mac& cheese was drool-tastic. We will return!
The hostess and waiter were both very nice, and the server was helpful with our questions. Food was probably a little over priced, but everyone enjoyed their meal.
Scallops, couscous and lobster mac & cheese are amazing!!
The food was excellent. Service left much to be desired. We were seated in a corner which also served as the restaurant’s beverage storage. Having people constantly around our table to pick up bottles of anything and everything was obnoxious. The waiter then spilled 3/4 of a pitcher of water on my date and didn’t offer any sort of recourse. Accidents happen but when they do, you offer an appetizer or dessert to try to make it better. Instead we were left in the corner, soggy.
Definitely going back. Try the pork belly
The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and not your every day fare. The wine and liquor selection is extensive. The service is also excellent and all the staff and manager are friendly and attentive.
Diverse menu that has something for everyone. The steaks are top notch and a must have. The layout of the restaurant is interesting and sometimes a bit loud as you can hear everyone else and your able to hear and see the kitchen at work too. Overall a great meal !
We visit Boiler House a few times a year, and the food is some of our favorite in the city. Tip: Order the Bubbling Swiss! You won't regret it. We always order several small plates and sides and share that between us. The meatballs are also a must, but could be a little spicy for some. We were so sad to see that one of my favorite menu items is no longer there- the potato balls. Please bring that back and nix the mashed potatoes! Overall, we had a great experience, and of course we will be back!
Ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly, but my little ones burger was almost raw. Salads and sides were good.
Always have the best experience!!
Somewhat disappointed with the appetizers. The quail poppers were inedible. Undercooked quail and very undercooked bacon. Sauce was good. The popcorn was over cooked and dry. The drinks were very nice, although they didn’t have grey goose vodka. The waitress recommended the pear flavored vodka and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The resteraunt overall was a nice night out but not as good as I thought.
Great food and service! The entire staff was courteous, friendly and professional. A great place for a date.
Great place! Excellent food and service. Love what they’ve done to revitalize the brewery district.
Love the whole ambiance!
Excellent food and service! Thank y’all!
Amazing service. Steak came out a little over cook. We never said anything as it wasn't that big of a deal to us. Our server Houston passed by and noticed it. He immediately went and pulled his manager over to replace the steak. Few minutes later the next ribeye came out perfect. They boxed the other steak up for the dogs.
Houston's service and attention to detail made the night. Looking forward to going back.
My first time here, and I had a great experience. The bar and greet staff was courteous and waitress was on point. Great job to the older gentleman in the snazzy sport coat for being so observant and finding us a spot at the bar until our reservation was ready. He also dropped by our table to greet and chat during our dinner. I ordered the filet mignon, medium well and it was delicious to the last bite. I loved the look and feel of the restaurant, modern and classy.
Our waiter only came to bring us drinks, food and the check. Other than that he didn’t help us. Our 80 dollar ticket for two was definitely not worth it.
We had the tomahawk steak for 2. The cocktails was spot on.
Got the petite filet. Cost $47 looks more like chopped steak did not taste that great. Their octopus appetizer was hard and two fishing. 8 / $100 for not one of the best meals pretty close to one of the worst I've ever had
Food was delicious and our server was outstanding! We were visiting from out-of-town and looking for a classic San Antonio restaurant...could not have been better!
A San Antonio favorite.... good food...friendly staff...fun location.
Brunch was a great birthday treat for our group. Everyone loved their food selection. It did take a bit longer for service this time but know it was Fiesta weekend as well.
Brunch was amazing. My husband and I come to town twice a year to visit his family and we were staying at an airBnB down the road. This place pops up when you type in “brunch” in google maps. There was an availability, the menu looked appealing and we were not disappointed. Everything was beyond reproach. I would go there for any reason.
The cabrito was actually corned beef the staff admitted. The boudin stuffed quail didn't taste like it had boudin in it. Pretty sure it was couscous. It seemed the quail was just the skin of the quail (not much meat). The menu was misleading. If you're out of cabrito, just tell us it's corned beef, don't pass it off as something it's not. Same with the boudin. Also, the oxtail said it came with swiss chard, but it was arugala in it place. We paid our pretty high bill without fuss, but won't likely go back.
This is the second time I have been there and it was pretty good food wise except my steak was over cooked and I should of spent it back
I still really enjoyed it and the food was seasoned to perfection. The waitstaff was okay. For the price they charge I would expect better service. So a little bit of buyer remorse.
Food was tasty and hot. Service was friendly but slightly distracted and inexperienced. The server forgot to warn me about the meat screwer that was burning hot and burned my right thumb and index finger when I grabbed the circular handle at one end to remove the shrimp. Although a manager stopped by to check on my red and swollen fingers and the novice server apologized no one offered me anything for my pain and suffering: not a free drink comping the appetizer or ANYTHING!
The local greens were fresh and perfectly dressed Thanks but the chicken had an odd and distinct taste of cinnamon, yes cinnamon, on it! Very unique flavor to say the least.Music was too loud and grunge rock bar band sound. Not very complimentary to ambiance of the room. Lighting was spotty and dappled making it hard to read my menu. Would I go back, maybe, maybe not.
I would travel to San Antonio just to eat here!
8 month celebration of dating my fiancée. My foie gras burger was worth the cost (rich and delicious), but her flank steak was not really flavored well to balance a not so potent or flavorful chimichurri sauce. Underwhelming. The wine selection was great, and the appetizer (Jumbo bacon Shrimp skewers) were on point.
I feel like I overpaid for the ambiance and the sparse attention, however, so I’d be back for the wine and starters, and the occasional heart stopping foie gras, but not often.
Food was amaze, mac was delish, steak was perfect , came for bday and waiter was quick and very helpful...
The Tomahawk was perfect.
So glad 2e found this place on Open Table! Food was fantastic! Staff is wonderful! Way to go Brett!!!
Really neat place with great food and wine.
