    We sat outside and it was beautiful. It was very busy and service was slow. We had to go inside because it started raining and when we got to our table, our food that we ordered was already sitting on the table waiting for the 4 of us and as a result it was not hot. Food was good, and we had been waiting a long time so we ate.

    Good food. Beautiful view. Feedback if they can… spray or find other way to ward off mosquitoes. (Guess they like it too) 🤣

    While I LOVED the views and atmosphere outside, the food was really bland and nothing worth revisiting. We got an omelette, hush puppies, and the shrimp tacos. The omelette had a few pieces of shredded cheese on top (so bizarre, this made it feel really cheap and not flavorful ) and my husband said the home fries were very bland. My tacos were dry and lacked any flavor at all and the sauce was like, a 1/4 teaspoon and just tasted like sugar making them forgettable and not worth the money or calories. The location is unbeatable and I’d come here just to sit outside for the day. We were however really not impressed with anything we ate which is super disappointing since we’d be looking forward to trying this place.

    Excellent food combined with outstanding service all located in a beautiful setting. I refer to the Boathouse as my favorite restaurant.

    The food was not good. The appetizers were decent but small for the price. The fish and chips was greasy and soggy. The rockfish was overcooked and chewy. Service was very good and the ambiance was great as always, even inside.

    Great view of lake( received excellent table. Took 20 minutes, after we were seated to receive water and order drinks. Food was just average.

    We are local and have had events there as well as special dining. Yesterday was by far our overall worst experience. Shrimp and grits was like a soup with very few grits. Sent a drink back that was not correct. Apple crisp had no crisp. Only apples and ice cream. The banana bread pudding was very good. We were never checked on during the meal.

    It’s been about 8m since I’ve eaten at the Boathouse last but the prices have gone up and portions sizes down significantly. I had the rockfish dish and the fish was small, and they gave me literally only 3 tiny potatoes on my plate. That’s was about $44. It’s a beautiful spot and service great but food isn’t worth the cost.
