    This has been our favorite Boathouse location for years! However, this visit was disappointing. Hostess checkin was disjointed and confusing. Bar service during our long wait was delayed but once receiving service, the bartender did well. Cocktails were overpriced for the area. Out of ALL the available tables in the restaurant, where other customers were dining and clearly being taken care of, we were placed in a non-server section. After seating for 15 or more minutes, one of the bartenders approached our table and apologized for the wait. We commented about the wait and a birthday. He stated it was a shift change. Follow on service was sporadic and intermittent. Sadly, we were celebrating my Mom’s 76th birthday, as returning customers for birthdays and anniversaries of many years, but the lack of service didn’t make the moment feel celebratory. Although we continued to display excitement and enthusiasm for her birthday, we left disappointed. Not certain we’ll continue to make this our celebration spot going forward!

    We had a fabulous brunch at The Boathouse-Sunday Park. The food was delicious and we had a lovely table with a wonderful view of the reservoir. The Bloody Marys were huge and so good. The best aspect though, was our server Jamie, who was amazing. He was attentive without hanging over us, knew the menu and the drinks well, made great recommendations, and was a really positive part of our experience. We stayed and lingered a bit and he was so gracious. Our out-of-town family couldn't stop gushing about how great it was. Thank you!!

    This was our fourth time at The Boathouse. I made a reservation well in advance. We were offered 2 really unacceptable tables that were in the bar area instead of the better dining area. The bar area was loud. Our waitress even told us she was a bar tender and she would "try" to take care of us. 3 different waiters had to make up for the neglect of our table. I ordered a Wedge salad that they "forgot" to bring out to me. The flounder I ordered was overly spicy (who puts so much spice on Flounder???) Our drinks came to us at odd times and there was confusion about when to bring appetizers and entrees. We won't be returning to the Boathouse because the other 3 times were not satisfactory either.

    The Boathouse at Sunday Park is amazing, the view of the sunset, the food, service and attentive staff is exceptional. Highly recommend, one of my favorite restaurants.

    We had such high hopes after a lovely brunch this past spring. We booked for our 44th anniversary. We were greeted and seated with kindness and warm wishes. The hushpuppies and watermelon margarita for starters tasted nice but then the wait began. After a good while...40 minutes our server came over and said that there was a glitch and part our order was not submitted and could we repeat the order. The fish portion of our order was missing. Then more waiting and apologies and offers for comped apps and bar. Then the food arrived. The fish can best be described as balls of dark brown fried globs. I've never seen any type of fish served in this large fried chunky manner. When she sat it in front of my husband, I remarked to him it looked burnt...he ate around it, but it wasn't enjoyable....in hindsight the hushpuppies were that same dark color, so it most likely means the grease needs cleaning or they are just cooking at too hot a temperature or cooking too long to ensure doneness. Spent my young adult life working in a fish restaurant in Texas. The steak dinner was fine. The manager comped the entire meal except the steak dinner. At no point in the evening did we request compensation. Something was up on Monday night. The restaurant was not crowded or busy. We appreciated their efforts at making it right. Will give it a go again for just that one reason.

    Service was prompt, but a bit inattentive after food delivery, particularly getting the check at the end. Food was wonderful. Well-prepared with nice presentation and tasty! The weather cooperated so the outdoor table was a good choice.

    While I don’t normally leave reviews, I felt compelled to today based off of the service we received from Jamie ! He was the absolute BEST! From arrival until departure he was extremely attentive, had a wonderful personality and made sure our party of 5 was completely satisfied ! The food was absolutely amazing as well! If you ever decide to visit, ask for Jamie ! He’s a GEM🙂
