My wife, son and I had a fantastic dining experience -- made all the more impressive given the steps the Boathouse has taken to ensure social distancing and safety in the current environment. Although personal interaction was limited, the service experience was excellent. And of course the setting (outside on the waterfront at sunset) and our meals (consistent with the normal exceptional Boathouse quality) were both outstanding. Highly recommended, especially during today's challenging times.
The food and service were very good. Sitting by the waterfront for dinner is the best; the weather was beautiful with a light breeze.
We were asked when making the reservation if we would be celebrating something special. I responded that it would be our anniversary. There was NO recognition of our anniversary whatsoever. That was disappointing.
Portions small and quality poor. Salads missing ingredients.
Ordering procedure awkward and unfriendly.

We find with YOUR restrictions for COVID is a little too much. It seems other restaurants can give you a personable service with a waiter or waitress who can help you out during the course of your meal. I feel at boat house it’s drop and go and then we never see anybody again and then we pay. Probably won’t be back for awhile.
The food was outstanding,the ordering was a nightmare. It took us 45 minutes to be tutored through the process. There has to be a better way. I understand the need for caution, but your process is over-kill.
Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Gorgeous views! I wish the selection of sides was a little better but having said that, we enjoyed what we chose. The contactless ordering/payment was easy and convenient.
Due to the COVID-19 problem, the menu was abbreviated but the food was outstanding and so was the service. However, some of the menu items are a little overpriced.
We struggled as a group with the new ordering process. Need the human person to assist patrons i.e. salad dressing options for salads. Not sure if we will return.
Father’s Day
The contact-less menu ordering takes some getting used to. The prices did seem to be higher in this new way of ordering. Staff not as attentive as they have been in the past, but were fine.
Very enjoyable and food was delicious. Enjoyed looking out at the Swift Creek Reservoir - very relaxing.
Disappointed that my gift card was not accepted since I'd planned to pay for our meal with it. Nothing was said in writing or orally prior to our ordering that it would not be accepted.
Loved the atmosphere, sitting by the water. Server was super nice, helpful, and attentive.
As always, the service and food were delicious. We usually make it a habit to come to the Boathouse on Special Occasions. This time is was my husband's 61 birthday and Father's Day combined. We had a great time, saw some old friends, and enjoyed our stay. The service was impeccable. Even the new way of ordering was not a problem. Our food actually arrived a lot more promptly. Good idea. We will surely be stopping by again very soon.

I was a little disappointed. I had shrimp taco which was delicious. It came with homemade chips that weren’t very good. They say they’re old bay chips but didn’t have much seasoning and either the chips were over cooked or cooked in old oil. We also had the chicken club. Good serving size. The chicken and bun were grilled but they both were burnt. There’s a difference between charring to get grill marks and burning. I was disappointed for a place with this reputation to serve food like this. Won’t eat here again maybe try a different location.
Food was definitely on point. Service was great. Had issues with their online ordering resulting in a long delay for our food. Between our server and Zach, the operations manager, everything turned out just fine. It speaks highly of an establishment that when you have a problem and its handled promptly and professionally, the problem just disappears. Thanks to Zach and all of your staff for a job well done! We will be back.
Enjoyed the crab cakes. They made socially distancing fine with eating outside. Pretty and relaxing by the lake.
Good but not really special to recognize the Father’s Day holiday.. tThe wedge salad was great, but the omelets were overcooked dry and rubbery.

Eating at this boathouse location was truly a treat. The view of the water and ducks was nice to have while enjoying a tasty brunch with cocktails! The new contactless ordering system was a pretty good feature to used to place an order. They do an automatic 20% gratuity into your check each time you order which I think is pretty awesome so that the employees get an hourly pay rate 🙂.
My sister and her husband were visiting from NJ and I had changed our reset from Saturday lunch to Friday night don’t but some how they didn’t receive the change but we’re still able to accommodate us

It was a nice evening. I did not appreciate the online ordering. The waiter could have taken our order. I also thought that an automatic 20% tip is unfortunate. A tip should be a choice. We were not informed of the policy and therefore we didn’t order as much food.
Decent food, but pricey. The service is generally good, but this time was a little off; brought a carafe of water with no glasses, carried our food on a tray really high over her shoulder and it looked like her hair was right on our food.
We love the deck and the Sea Ghost.
We dined for the first time. It was a wonderful experience. We will we back.

Always great time with beautiful view, they need to work out some kinks on touchless order system but overall a great night out
COVID makes everything more difficult but after a longggg wait (our reservation was 6:15 and we were seating at 7; food out at 8), it was a lovely meal. Paid etc via an app. The poor hostesses were trying to keep up and keep people calm.
Our visit to the BH was great. The view from the outside area was wonderful. The non contact ordering worked great once we logged on with the table scan and number. Service, wait time, and of course the food were all great. Servers all did well. We were celebrating our anniversary, so thanks for making this part of it great! Would recommend and we'll be back again.
Ask to sit outside, was told they’d work it out then sat us inside. The ordering system should have been explained better . We got out for and drinks all at different times ( defeats the purpose of going out to eat with friends) the food wasn’t great at all
The electronic ordering system did not work correctly. It took us 25 minutes to get our drinks (the system sent them to the wrong table). The food also took a long time. A week earlier, we were at Casa del Barco and had problems with the ordering system there too. Please get rid of that system and go back to servers taking orders. By the way, the problem is not that we are technologically challenged. The problem is that the system was not working properly.
Very disappointed in the service at this location. We cancelled our order after waiting over an hour for our food and watching 3 tables that came after us order, receive food, eat, and leave. Asked waiter about our food after about 30 minutes and he said the kitchen got really busy.? They were not packed at all. When we said we’d like to cancel the order his response was we can box it up when it’s ready, which defeats the purpose. They still charged us 20% gratuity and the waiter went ahead and added that “it’s to bad because your food is ready”. Not one to complain usually, but this was a day wrecker. For the record we’ve always been happy with food and service at Rockets Landing location.
Hi, Sorry for your experience with us today. We are still fine-tuning our post-COVID staffing, but that should not mean that you wait that long for a meal. Please know that we will use this feedback to improve in the future.
Menu limited, many of favorite items were not available due to the pandemic and it put a damper on our expectations. It was our first outing so we appreciate the Boathouse opening up and they did a great job with spacing parties out.
The new ordering system is awful. The servers have no clue what you ordered so they cannot do any quality checking before the food is served. There is less communication between customers and servers. It took about 45 minutes to get our food. The longest we have ever waited there. Ice in orange juice and cranberry juice is a no-no unless there is alcohol in it!
Finally got back to one of our favorite restaurants. This was our first experience eating out during Covid-19 and the precautions the staff were taking was very reassuring. We were seated on the second floor outside balcony which had 3 well spaced tables. The weather was perfect which meant the view of the reservoir was also but I wish there could have been more sailboats out. We were having brunch and we used the new non-contact ordering system which is efficient but a bit cumbersome at first. However they have “captains” that were there to assist you. When the food came my wife’s Eggs Benedict was over cooked as is usual in many establishments. Our waitstaff immediately ordered 2 more eggs and they were there before my wife could clear the first ones. These were well prepared to my wife’s request. The rest of the meal was very good and we will be going back again.
A new experience post COVID but very enjoyable despite the changes.
First time going with the new ordering system thanks to Covid. It was an ordeal to place the order and we got our dinner before we got our drinks. Never got water - asked for it twice. I know we're all learning the new way of dining out - it's going to be an adjustment.
