The Boathouse at Sunday Park
End of Work Week Celebration - Every Friday... 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Great food, service and great views.
Made reservation ahead. Had to wait on a table for 10-15minutes for inside even though there were many unoccupied tables. Seated waited another 15-20 minutes for a waitress. Was told computer system not working. Took drink order and delivered but was not ready to take order. Waited another 15 minutes for waitress to return. Food delivered by other servers and was good. Had to go look for waitress to get check. Wanted to take sunset pictures and was told to leave card and return to finish transaction. Never saw waitress again.
Our waiter, Michael, was great! Wonderful recommendations.
Our reservation was for 7:15, when we got there they asked us if we wanted to sit outside or in. We said outside. They told us our table would be ready in about 15 minutes. I went back 15 minutes later and they said it would be ready in ANOTHER 15 minutes. They eventually sat us inside at 8:00 PM. Huge inconvenience since we had two babies and a babysitter at home waiting for us to get home at a specific time. We felt like we had to rush and our server, though extremely nice, was busy so it was slow. We wouldn’t have gone somewhere else if they hadn’t kept telling us it would be another 15 minutes.
It was ok. Definitely wasn’t too impressed with the food. The service was great. The view was awesome but it was so hot. Plus I was constantly shooing ants from my plate. They were even crawling on my arms. I had a $17 salad that wasn’t that big and had 5 shrimp. You definitely are paying for the ambience and the service. Glad we used a gift card to check it out so we didn’t spend so much out of pocket for a just OK experience.
Date night with hubby and friends
Wanted to enjoy lobster but they were sold out. My crab cakes were fantastic, as was my wife's filet. Everything else was very good. It is a bit expensive, but great spot for special occasion. Feels like a rustic but up-scale experience.
Went to celebrate an anniversary. It was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxing and nice view. Our waiter was excellent. The menu had something for anyone's palate. The day was beautiful so the outdoor dining was great. We had three different types of oysters which were delicious.
Gorgeous cool summer day on the Swift Creek reservoir. Picture perfect. Awesome food. Charming and efficient service (Nicole). Loved listening to George Turman play his guitar and sing. A truly out standing experience.
Been there many times, but this was probably the best.
My girlfriend and I split the lobster boil and it was outstanding!
Service was perfect.
The only complaint is that we had a 7:30 reservation and didn't get seated until 8:00 but not a bad place to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset while we waited.
Our food took too long to come to the table. The food was cold. The hamburgers were over cooked and the fries were cold. The fish special was also cold along with the potatoes. The asparagus was so small it should never been included. The fish was taken back and microwaved rather than giving a new piece. Food was terrible.
delicious food, beautiful view, great service, will definitely come again!
Little pricey but food was very good. will definitely return. Was dining inside but will return for a waterfront experience (happy Hour looks like a great value)
The food, drinks, and service were outstanding! Definitely on the pricier side, but worth every penny!
We love the venue, the rustic interior, the great waterfront patio, good food. Just a great place for a special celebration.
We love The Boathouse at Sunday Park, and we were very happy that we got to share it with family. We started with drinks by the water, and moved into the main building for dinner. From food to service, everything was fantastic! We even followed up our Thursday night family dinner with a Sunday afternoon drink and early dinner with just me and my husband on the deck. This place always feels more like a vacation instead of a nearby restaurant.
The temperature in side was horrible it had to of been over 80 it was very uncomfortable to be able to eat. None of us got the right bill at the end but we just figured it out on our own.
Service was outstanding. Food perfectly prepared, and delivered on time. Wine service was really good, our server recommended a very crisp Pinot Grigio which was the perfect thirst quencher on a 100+ degree day! One of our favorite spots, and can't wait to return!
Set inside the dining Hall it was so warm and there you couldn't keep ice in a glass. We had carry as our server and he was Not very good at all. The hour and a 1/2 that we were there he only refilled our beverages once we were stuffed in the corner at a table where it was not easy to flag down other servers either. After we finished our meal I piled up all of our dirty dishes in the center of the table and we waited 15 minutes after that for him to bring us our check. I walked out my front door to head toward the boathouse expecting to pay a $100 minimum for a quality meal. That between the depressing server and a very warm room it made it hard to enjoy the food.
Went to the Boathouse at Sunday Park for Sunday Brunch! The location on the water’s edge was beautiful. The outdoor seating looks fantastic; with temperatures approaching 100, we chose to eat inside ... The dining experience was phenomenal. The cocktails included originals very appropriate for the summer. The appetizers were super; we had the zucchini chips and the potato balls - went quickly!!! My brother and I had omelets prepared to our selections at a special omelet station. Our wives ordered from the menu. They were fantastic. While we finished our meal with coffee, the dessert menu was truly tempting. Didn’t have wine this time but the wine list was extensive. Our waitress was very attentative and very helpful with suggestions.
We all agreed this was a restaurant that we’ll come back to regularly. Indeed my sister-in-law and I agreed our combined birthday dinners will be at the Boathouse at Sunday Park in October!!! Great value for the money.
We came for the lake view and got a gorgeous evening sunset on the 2nd floor facing the windows! Friendly, responsive service. Seafood was fresh - enjoyed the the grilled octopus (not rubbery at all), jumbo steamed shrimp, and oysters on half shell. Drinks priced affordably. Disappointed with the shrimp tacos - the flour tortillas were not soft & fresh, the filling was sparse (some course shredded purple cabbage and a couple of small deep fried shrimp), and guacamole was a lime-salt flavored paste instead of instead of fresh chunky guacamole. Also a little too much fried food for me - it would be nice if the menu offered some healthier options to replace the french fries that come with most entrees.
The Boathouse was a great dining experience . My husband and I enjoyed every moment and scenery
We loved everything about our meal! Excellent service too. And the view!!
Poor serving staff, waited 15 minutes after being seated to be offered water, entrees way over priced. Paid $30.00 for 3 shrimp covered with crab that was full of bread and cold. Ordered a glass of wine with dinner that arrived as I finished my meal. Two others in our party had the same entree experience. They must sustain business based on location certainly not food quality. Overheard others with similar complaints.
The food and atmosphere was wonderful.
Food was great and with a clear sky, it made for a beautiful sunset. The steel band that accompanied the meal added to the ‘tropical’ feel of the night.
If nothing else, go for the view, we do, almost weekly. But, the service and food are always good
The service and atmosphere never disappoints. The drinks are ok as well but the menu is still limited after all these years. Not enough chicken dishes or seafood dishes or kid friendly dishes. And every seafood dish we've ever had seems to lack in favor. So if we are looking for apps, oysters and atmosphere the boat house is where we go, but if we are looking for a great meal with multiple options we go elsewhere.
We are fans however we are waiting for the menu to be eventually upgraded.
Excellent food and service
Always lives up to expectations for good service and food.
Awesome, as usual!! Definitely one of our favorite places!
Best place to eat on the south side when weather is nice and sun not too bright. Great view. Food is usually very good but not dependably so.
Great location for Sunday brunch with family. The Boathouse is beautiful.
The food and service were great! I was disappointed that after making a reservation for 8 using open table, giving credit card number to make sure we showed up and if we didn’t show or cancelled with two hours I would be charged $20 a person, showed up on time with entire dinner party and we still had to wait 40 minutes for our table to be ready.
Food was great, ambiance was great. Wait time was pretty slow. Granted, it was a summer Saturday night.
Dinner had a hair in it. Manager didn’t take the meal off the bill until we requested it. Very disappointing to not be able to share a meal with your spouse on your anniversary. Server was great though
This remain our favorite restaurant, mainly because of the atmosphere. The food is generally very good, although I was not overly impressed this last meal. The service is friendly but not overly attentive. People are friendly. Overall I would give it 4/5 stars.
Food was terrific! Kayla provided fantastic service and made our team dinner a great experience.
Great food, service! Made for very enjoyable evening with friends!
