Lovely location. Love the crab cakes and salmon but there were quite a lot of shells in crab cakes this time. Tasty but more high maintenance.

We stopped in for lunch today and were surprised to find it wasn’t busy, especially considering the strong reviews and recommendation to make a reservation. Naturally, we had high expectations. I ordered the fried shrimp, which were decent but pretty plain. That said, they ended up being the highlight of the meal. The dish came with fries and coleslaw — I would’ve appreciated more variety in the side options, especially another type of potato. My boyfriend is vegetarian, and we specifically chose this place because it seemed to offer a good variety of sides for him. He ordered the bread basket along with spinach, asparagus, and coleslaw. Unfortunately, while the descriptions sounded promising, the sides were underwhelming and lacked flavor — some basic seasoning would’ve made a big difference. The butter served with the bread was nice, but not enough to elevate the overall experience. We decided to try dessert and went with the Apple Crisp and the Crème Brûlée. The Apple Crisp wasn’t to our liking — the oat topping didn’t work for us, and a traditional crust might have improved it. The Crème Brûlée was just okay. Our server was friendly but not particularly attentive. The service didn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. With all the hype and positive feedback, I expected more in terms of flavor, service, and overall experience.

It was Mother's Day 2025, I wasn't told when reservations were made that this day was to be buffet style therefore I was disappointed because now at the venue, it was much too late to book anywhere else; I had to make the best of a situation. If nothing else I enjoyed spending time with my Mother.

king or when we were seated that only the house buffet was being served on this day. In addition we were strategically seated with no view of the James which would have made a difference on such a beautiful day and seats with a view were available. We were only advised of the buffet once I asked for menus. If I had known this prior I would not have booked. Of course we had the option to leave but after searching for parking for 35 min and the wait to be seated we were parched so we stayed and paid $120 for a house buffet (salad, mixed fruit, Mac n chs, potatoes, bacon, roasted carrots, salmon and crab cakes bites, eggs, waffles, a minimal carving station of a one meat selection and a small dessert display). By the look of the other guests faces they were disappointed as well. Some even left. It would have been classy to have advise those who chose to dine with you if the menu deviated from the published menu… especially if replaced by a house buffet and on such a special day. It seemed very scammy and disrespectful. This was our first experience at your establishment and very unfortunate. Overall rating: Very Much Over Rated.

We enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch buffet. The food was excellent. We had great service. Valet parking is a plus.

Food was absolutely disgusting. There was a film over the mashed potatoes that was thick and you could peel off the entire mound. The crabcakes were overcooked and all filler meat, no lump. drinks took a really long time to come out so long, that we even canceled the drink we ordered before dinner arrived because it didn’t come (it was whiskey neat, shouldn’t take that long to make). Never again!

Parking is too difficult - sets a bad start. Food menu is actually pretty limited. We had a 715 reservation and they had already run out of one of the starters and main courses we had chosen. Food was OK but not great. Took way too long for the wedge salads to arrive - close to 30 minutes. $36 for 6 small to medium size scallops - seriously? And WAY TOO LOUD to have a decent conversation. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Richmond but not anymore.
