   Parking is too difficult - sets a bad start. Food menu is actually pretty limited. We had a 715 reservation and they had already run out of one of the starters and main courses we had chosen. Food was OK but not great. Took way too long for the wedge salads to arrive - close to 30 minutes. $36 for 6 small to medium size scallops - seriously? And WAY TOO LOUD to have a decent conversation. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Richmond but not anymore.

   Im sorry to say this but this was the worst service i have experienced at the boathouse. Busy graduation weekend understaffed confusion at check in. Food so slow people who were seated 20 minutes after us were given food first. Notified our server my husband cannot have the bacon on the clam chowder and she said they put it on top it is not in the chowder. Not true manager cameover and said the wait staff must be new. There is bacon in the chowder. But i will come back and check on you and she never did. Wont be coming back.

   Went today( Friday )for lunch. It was very busy due to large parties ( graduation). We were sat at 1 pm and ordered right away. Unfortunately we did not get our main meal until 2:05. Not sure if service is always this slow or if this was unusual. Food was delicious though.

   We were traveling from Dallas and had the pleasure of having Veronica for our waitress! Ask for her EVERYTIME if she is available. She was very attentive, very courteous and knowledge of the menu! The food was also top tier, flavor was top tier! Will definitely be returning when visiting again.

   We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Brunch! We were celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary with our family and had requested a nice view. Out table had an excellent view of the James River and the seating was quite comfortable and spacious. But what made the celebration was our waitress who was extremely personable, friendly, and informative when questioned about the menu. Janiya was terrific!

   Excellent environment, view of the James, RVA skyline, our waitress was exceptional, the drinks were great as well as the food. My wife and I went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and just really enjoyed ourselves at the Boathouse at Rocketts Landing, we will definitely be going back on other special occasions! We also loved walking along the Cap Trail/James River, just a beautiful place to eat and spend time with your spouse, friends, family.

   Made a reservation at The Boathouse. Great choice from beginning to end. Very happy with outdoor seating overlooking James River. Lyndsey, our waitress, was excellent. The Sea Ghost was very satisfying and lived up to its name. Lyndsey eas so friendly and welcoming. So knowledgeable with the menu too.. Food and drinks were incredible. Good pace, relaxing. Atmosphere was excellent. Left very happy.

    The overall experience was amazing! Great views, food, and service. Waiter was attentive and friendly.
