    Slow service and not enough servers at the bar during busy time. Food was good enough to try once more in hopes for more efficient service.

    The food was OUTSTANDING! And the service EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, there was a crowd of people at the bar that were EXTREMELY LOUD and OBNOXIOUS acting as if this were a night club and not a fine dining restaurant. I believe Management did ask them to not YELL but I think they should have asked them to quiet down or leave. There were times when (sitting halfway across the room) I could hear every word of their conversation. We had come for an intimate anniversary dinner and often couldn’t hear each other speak because of all the noise. The noise level definitely ruined the ambiance of the evening.

    Hi Gregg, I apologize that the other guests impacted your experience, especially on such a special occasion. I am glad that the management seemed aware, but sorry that they could not tactfully quiet things down. I hope you'll consider giving us another chance on a quieter night.

    Hubby and I were on a day trip to RVA. Saw the Boathouse @ Rocketts Landing on IG and decided to stop in for lunch. 10 out of 10 for everything! Definitely will be back.

    Amazing food. Amazing servers. Just here for the weekend could not recommend more. Hard to not try everything! Highly recommend the fried shrimp and lobster

    Nice experience and no complaints. Indoor and outdoor seating with spectacular views of the James River. A good choice for large parties.

    Food was well prepared and good quality. Server was very nice but had too many tables to keep up. Having a reservation 2 weeks in advance I thought they’d be able to accommodate our table of 6, but it seemed a challenge. It was a decent place to celebrate graduation, but for the roughly $65/person for lunch and difficulties getting service, I would not return.

    The Boathouse is our restaurant. We got married there. We host birthday dinners and graduation celebrations there. We've brought our Mothers twice for Mother's Day brunch. And we hold business dinners at the Boathouse- Rocketts Landing. The food is always fresh and excellent. The ambiance and views are beautiful. And the food is affordable for a date night out. Thanks for accommodating our party of 7 for our son's graduation dinner.

    The food overall is excellent and the space is beautiful! They double booked so we were seated almost 30 minutes over our time, but management made everything right! Sam was a great server

    We had a 4:00 reservation, right when the restaurant opened. I arrived at 4:02, and was not sat until 4:20. If you are not going to be prepared to seat people as the restaurant opens, don’t allow people to make reservations at that time.
