   I went there on a date. The hostess and service were great, friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable about their unique menu. The owner, Louis, was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The live music was amazing and had the perfect noise level to enjoy it, but not too loud so were able to have a good conversation. The ambience, especially the lighting, is very inviting. The food was delicious and the cocktails are excellent twists of known cocktails. Overall a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend going there on your next date.

   I had such a great time at the bar last night that I returned to see if the Boardroom’s brunch food could equal their exceptional cocktails. I was not disappointed. Sat outside this time and enjoyed a wonderful relaxed Kailua morning. We didn’t try any of the brunch cocktails (which looked delicious). Instead we had the Mimosa which came with three mini carafes of fresh squeezed juices. The guava mimosa was delicious. For food we had the Boardroom local Moko. Completely different from my plate lunch days. Bone marrow gravy instead of brown gravy. Prime Rib instead of a burger patty. Brown rice instead of white rice. And topped with an egg that our server said was from the North Shore. We will be back with friends next Saturday

   Hands down the best cocktails in Kailua. By a mile! Recommend reserving a seat at the small bar if you’re a connoisseur of fine craft cocktails. The bartenders are the real deal.

   Booked for Mother’s Day brunch the weekend after Mother’s Day. Long story short: 45+ minute wait for food and food was either undercooked, cold, or bland. To top it off, out of the 3 plates ordered, only 2 came out… my mother’s plate did not come out. Who in their right mind would wait an hour for ube pancakes? She cancelled her order because the rest of us were done eating and her food didn’t even come out yet. She was starving and reverted to eating my dads LEFTOVERS. 2 mimosas and 2 plates totaling $77 before tip is criminal. Happy Mother’s Day to her, right? I was embarrassed because I suggested this place and talked highly about it to my mom and this is what came out of it. Absolutely not cool.

   I was disappointed in 3 things: 1) our waitress said our order didnʻt initially go in because of a computer malfunction. We waited a good 25 minutes just for our first drink because she didnʻt catch that. 2) My drink glass had a chipped rim. I could have gotten hurt had I not noticed it. And, 3) Iʻve eaten here once before, inside, with my family. It was way too loud and we couldnʻt hear each other talk. This time, I asked for outside. Didnʻt matter; outside was as loud with music as the inside was and we had to talk very loud to hear each other. The food was delicious and the plating was beautiful, but for the cost the entire experience was not worth it.

   This was our first time here! The food was good! We enjoyed the chefs specials for May, especially the porchetta and creamy polenta. We would’ve liked to have some kind of starch with the venison chops since it just comes with coleslaw. The only options for kids would be at the coffee truck, so if your keiki is picky might want to plan ahead. We hope to return for brunch!

    Excellent cocktails but only OK food. They did not have the menu items they advertised in the email soliciting brunch reservations. Pancakes were barely warm. Biscuit for biscuits and gravy was a big, dry, cold biscuit with not enough gravy to make the biscuit edible. None of it tasted better than just OK, especially for the price.

    Decided to give it another chance, and disappointed again. Drinks are good, but a little overpriced and food was lacking again. The sliders tasted fine, but really should call it what it is….”a sloppy joe” with shredded beef instead of ground beef.

    It was our first time there, overall it’s a nice setup. I do think compared to other restaurants that I frequent it’s pricey, but it’s because they go with locally grown products. Which in my opinion of they’re not paying to import it should be cheaper. But it’s life in Hawaii. Drinks were good.

    I have dined here several times and unfortunately each occasion has gradually gotten worse. The service has been consistently good with waitresses being very friendly and attentive. However, depending on who is bartending will determine how good the drinks are. This past Friday the drinks were horrible. The workers behind the bar sprayed us with drinks while mixing them twice. The food was bland and under cooked. We ordered the Prime Rib and it was severely undercooked. We sent it back to be cooked more & it came back still raw. The waitress was kind enough to notice and removed it from our bill. We left and were lucky enough to get in at a nearby restaurant.

    The food was so yummy. We went for brunch and had the potato hash and the biscuit and gravy which was delicious. And we ordered the mimosa pitcher which was just a bottle of champagne but the only thing slightly off putting was the juice. I am unsure if we just needed to ask for a refill of juice but overall 10/10!

    We had heard great things about The Boardroom so were excited to try it out for brunch. We were seated immediately in a nice outdoor setting and given cutlery and (empty) glasses. Waitstaff explained that since they source locally for their ingredients there were a couple of menu items not available. Fine, no argument with that, happy that they source locally. So far so good. But that's where the good part ended. We waited for water for our glasses but none arrived. Bear in mind that this was midday on a sunny Sunday and we had walked the mile or so to the restaurant. We waited .... and waited ... and asked no less than 3 people for water which finally arrived after we had been seated for 30 minutes and our food had arrived. Actually, only one order of the two arrived. Another 5 minutes for the second order which was Flapjacks with thick cut bacon. They were described as "fluffy" with thick-cut bacon but this was far from accurate. The pancakes were dense and doughy and basically inedible. The bacon was regular thin bacon. It was the first time I have ever sent a meal back to the kitchen. Staff asked what else I would like so I asked what was the quickest since my husband had already had his meal for more that 5 minutes by that time. Was offered the frittata ... fine. Next thing the wait staff was back at the table and there was some reason why I couldn't get the frittata... By this stage husband was almost finished his meal so I said just bring granola "parfait" which ended up being yoghurt in a bowl with a sprinkle of granola and a couple of strawberries. Husband ordered the potato hash, also supposedly with thick cut bacon. Very mediocre, he said he wouldn't order again. Before anyone says "they were short staffed" there were two people seated at the same time as us who were given water, ordered and received drinks, ordered and received food, before we even got to order our food so staffing was not the reason. Super disappointed.

    Always a go-to for date-night out. They make a mean dirty martini (vodka) with blue cheese stuffed olives and hint of roasted garlic! Food was very tasty. We ordered bao buns and beef sliders. Brownie alamode was good for desert. Brownies were cupcake style and dense. They also had live music which added to the ambiance. Great night out!

    We’ve been waiting to go to The Boardroom for a while now but unfortunately it wasn’t worth the wait. The hostess sat us with an old menu, the correct menu took over 15 minutes to get to us. We were enjoying the ambience so that wasn’t a big deal. The “pele” drink wasn’t spicy at all. The check said “2 hearts” at the end so I’m thinking maybe I received the wrong drink? What I received definitely wasn’t worth the $20.00 but we didn’t say anything. For food we decided on the Brussels sprouts to start with and they had run out while waiting for the server which to her credit was training someone new so no blame there just was disappointing. The server mentioned the smoked salmon so we had that instead and it just tasted okay, it wasn’t special at all, I felt like I could’ve put it together myself but we were so hungry we scarfed it down. The server also recommended the birria tacos so we decided to go with those but it was soo greasy I couldn’t eat more than a couple of bites. I understand everyone has different taste so I won’t say anything bad about a server recommendation. They sounded good on the menu but they were just way too greasy. The server was very nice and apologetic, I feel like she really tried her best while training a new server too. The ambience was great outside and the table was ready before our reservation time too which were two highlights of the evening. We left hungry and after one round of drinks.

    The drinks are very pretty, fresh, and tasty. Everything is handcrafted and from scratch. No mixes or heavily fake syrups. Everything is locally sourced, farm to table. The food was good 😊 but it would’ve been better if it came out quicker. I feel like by the time we got some of our items there weren’t as hot or crispy as they should’ve been. But still very good and tasty. Service was good and very friendly. Overall, I was satisfied and would go back to try other items. We also got (I wasn’t able to get pictures of) birria tacos, consommé could be better and tacos crispier. Brussel sprouts, beet carpaccio with goat cheese and arugula, and pork belly bao.

    I would only recommend this place for good fancy cocktails and charcuterie. It’s not a reliable place to have a meal, just like other reviews have shared. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was good, which is hard to come by these days. However, the place is unreliable when it comes to the menu. Half of the food was unavailable when we sat at 6pm. The “farm to table” concept sounds nice, but the staff explained that often they’re unable to source enough local ingredients. Be cautious, they will serve you a variation of a menu item without telling you. They did that to us with the salmon bruschetta. Not cool. Avoid the $45 grass fed prime rib. It’s petite, doesn’t come with any sides, and was mostly fat.

    Wanted to try this place for a while and a bit disappointed. First off service was wonderful! For was pretty tasty but way overpriced and would have liked more options. We are there at 6:15 and already sold out of two of the three specials. I really wanted to live this place but TOO crowded and way overpriced!!     They had me at “live music”… which was really great.. song selection was on! But so was everything else… The cocktails were fantastic… the prime rib was delicious and the homemade cake was like nothing we have ever had! Hana our server was a doll and the owners even came around to talk and made it a special first time treat! We will be there everytime we are in Kailua.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
