We have dined her several times and the restaurant keeps getting better each visit. The cocktails are a must try. I had the Ohia Revival drink and it was amazing. The server smoked the drink at our table to infuse an extra smoky flavor. Highly recommended. We had the same-day caught Ahi which was delicious. The pork belly Bao buns were also a huge hit. Great service from the knowledgeable staff. It’s a beautiful place to have a date night.

We had an amazing experience. They have a holiday craft cocktail menu and we tried all of them. Our favorite was their holiday take on an Old Fassion. Close second was the peppermint drink. The food was equally outstanding. We had the Big Island grass fed filet. OMG so tender and cooked to perfection. The seasonal salad was also delicious. Had the crème brûlée for desert. Yum. Service was great. The bartender came outside and educated us about how the drinks were made. Highly recommended. We will be back.

We’re visiting and I happen to find The Boardroom on instagram, and I’m so happy I did. We sat inside and had it pretty much to ourselves on a quiet Friday night. We both had two drinks my brother loved both the Notorious F.I.G (seasonal) and the Sando & Cigars. I tried the Gilligan’s Island Grog which was good but nothing special and the then the Pandan Pisco Fusion which was amazing. We skip apps and both ordered the DA Butchers cut, which was a 6 oz fillet with roasted veggies and Potato Au Gratin and it was delicious and worth the market price tag. Definitely a high dollar dinner but will make the list next time we’re on Oahu! Oh only complaint from my brother, the chair he was seating was “absolute trash” he says it needs cushion everywhere 😂

We started with a slushy passion fruit margarita outside in The Garden. There was a wonderful jazz band playing. When the Boardroom was ready for us we had a one of a kind experience. That’s work with local farmers and then create dishes and drinks around whatever is in season. Naturally this makes for a delicious experience. Oysters, bone marrow, venison, Filet mignon, and champagne! We had a wonderful evening and will certainly return

It's one of my favorite local spots for dining and cocktails. I've been coming here for almost two years since they opened in 2022, and I love the weekly specials they offer. The new menu is nice and offers a great variety of selections of locally sourced ingredients. As with most places, the prices have increased due to availability and inflation, but the flavor makes them worthwhile. They do offer "off menu" specials from time to time, and last night, I enjoyed the steamed clams, which were delicious. I asked for more bread just so I could sop up as much of the broth as I could. The service is always great, maybe because I've been coming regularly, but I observe that they provide the same level of service to everyone that comes. Definitely make reservations if you plan on coming on the weekend or midweek is usually fairly calm. They have live music on Thursdays and weekends as well as special events in the Garden area just outside. Come early to ensure you can find parking on the street and be prepared for a great time.

The live music was playing at the same time they had music coming over the restaurant sound system. Made if very hard to hear and carry on a conversation with each other. The restaurant music should be turned OFF when the is live music.

This had the potential to be a great dining experience. The drinks were really nice, the appetizers were good, especially the blackened ahi it was superb. For an entree, the venison Bolognese was exceptionally good. Unfortunately the kitchen did not prepare our meals so that they would all come out at the same time. One entree came out, then 5 to 10 minutes later 2 more entrees were delivered, then another 10 minutes the 4-7 entrees were delivered. At this point the other 7 people in our party of 8 had to start eating because everyone's food was getting cold. Turns out that the 8th entree was never fired, eventually it was started, but there was no urgency from the kitchen that it should be fixed immediately since the other members of the table had already finished their meals. I do not know if this was a kitchen or server issue. What I do know is that we waited for at least 30 minutes after everyone else was served to receive the last entree. Our server did comp the last entree, so they acknowledged it was an error and made good on it. If I were to re visit the Boardroom. I would just do drinks and appetizers, they were really, really good.

We've been supporters of this Kailua restaurant, frequenting it and gifting to others to help it succeed. I sat at the open and empty bar for a quick drink recently. I waited, and waited, but was barely acknowledged by the two bartenders. In the meantime, a group of three others sat next to me. I didn't have much time so I finally just let the bartender know my drink order (without them ever asking for it). One of the bartenders finally made some drink, and to my dismay handed them to the 3 people who had just come in. I asked where my drink was and the other bartender said that he was going to get to that. Since I had already been waiting unacknowledged for some time, I got up and left. I will not be back, and will advise others of this, not only what appeared to be poor service, but also of a racially discriminatory nature. Extremely disappointing.

We went for the $3 Sunday oyster special. The 2 of us are 36 oysters and had a bottle of very good champagne. The oysters were perfect. By far the best I’ve had in Hawaii. The ambiance inside felt like an intimate New York City bar. Very cool. Highly recommended.

This time was just a miss. We usually love this place. It seems when they do the prefixe menu they were bringing out the food in a certain order. People don't eat at the same pace and also we didn't get the veggies we ordered. Two times they tried to deliver items that we didn't order. Honestly I wasn't crazy about the hebi wellington. I felt like the food needed salt. Usually this place is great for pupus and brunch...we will stick to that.

Good drinks and service. Food was abysmal. Charcuterie consisted on about 5 slices of salami (no other meat), some small cheese cubes, a small wedge of brie, and about 5 squares of absolutely tasteless pork belly. Oysters were tasteless, and "pate" was liquid liver in a jar - yuck! Special ws swordfish, which was overcooked and accompanied by a sauce incorporating hard boiled eggs. Bottom line: very expensive but unappetizing/unsatisfactory food. Great drinks, so maybe this is a good spot for a drink after work but nothing more.

We had the charcuterie, pork belly bao buns and oyster. The food was good. The oysters came with two sauces and both went well. One was a schiracca base and pretty good. I had a verion of an old fashioned and it was pretty good. I tried another drink...I gorget the name and didnt care for it. If we go back we will sit outside.

I've been enjoying The Boardroom since they opened in January of 2022. They have had significant changes in their staff and management, including a new chef who has implemented a new menu and Chef's Specials. The new management has started regular live band music in the "Garden" area outside every Friday, while the regular guitar player performs on Thursdays. The Friday live band is pretty loud and can be heard inside the dining room as well. They have started special Wednesday events. It used to be a rotating "beer tap" event where they offered beer on tap and bottles from local brewers. This has now changed to a "Whiskey and Wine" event and a "Wayback Wednesday" on alternating weeks where they offer specials on select whiskeys, wines, and cocktails. Since it's usually just me, I normally sit at the bar, unless I'm joined by a friend or have dinner with my daughter and her husband, who enjoys whiskeys and cocktails. I've made acquaintances with several other regulars who sit at the bar as well, and we always enjoy a great time. The service is always great (at least for me), and I can see that the staff always puts in the effort to provide a quality experience. The menu has always been diverse, which is what I enjoy, and it's one of the few places in Kailua that offers items such as fresh oysters, roasted bone marrow, and paté. The seating is limited and usually fills up quickly, so definitely, reservations are needed. Large groups might be spread out over several tables but can be accommodated outside in the garden area. It's definitely one of my favorite "go-to" spots in Kailua.

We decided to have a quick early dinner and booked a 5pm reservation. The outside deck was beautiful but too bright for us so we requested inside seating. (Inside has great AC). Had the Bao Buns, venison Bolognese pasta, and a seared Ahi. Most of the plates are for sharing tapas style. Really tasty!

Great brunch! We sat inside where it was cooler. The service was perfect. We had mimosas that came with fresh squeezed juices. Delicious. The non drinkers had Lilikoi (passion fruit) mocktails. We ordered one of everything and shared family style. Favorites were the eggs Benedict, the Local Moko, and the Ube pancakes. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for my wife’s birthday brunch in 2 weeks.

Had a friend visiting from Seattle and I wanted to show off so I took her to my favorite fancy restaurant. All locally sourced ingredients. The best, freshest craft cocktails on Oahu. (She is a HUGE fan of farm to table). Our waitress was Katie and she was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the cocktails. She figured out what each of us liked and recommended the perfect cocktail. We shared a crème brûlée. It was perfect.

What a sweet spot in Kailua. The ambiance and decor were both great, unique combination of dark wood and amber lighting made the restaurant sexy. I love that everything we ate was locally sourced, super fresh and delicious. The charcuterie tray was amazing it was beautiful to look at and delicious my son almost ate the entire thing. We shared a couple more appetizers and had a delicious Kalbi and shrimp combo for a entree, finished with Crème brûlée divine. Will definitely put Boardroom in my fav spots rotation from now on. Ps. The drinks were awesome

Farm to table - locally sourced as much as possible - most food is market price. We went for the cocktails and were definitely happy. VERY small inside, but they do a lot with the space. Patio is where it's at - there was live music on Thursday - HIGHLY recommend for drinks and music while still being able to talk.

Very small amount of food for the cost. Super disappointing. I took my GF here for her birthday dinner. Was excited to try bone marrow for the first time. It came as two halves of a bone with about 6 little pieces of garlic bread. There was not even a half teaspoon amount of actual bone marrow in there, combined. I don’t expect a full meal of bone marrow, but it was literally $26 for 6 little pieces of garlic bread what amounted to a TINY amount of bone marrow, which I think was actually just a little melted cheese. Sadly I still don’t know what bone marrow tastes like. And my partner ordered the $45 prime rib. It came as a very small and thin piece of meat that was about 40% fat. It was a small plain thin piece of fatty meat. No sides….$45. I basically paid like $70 for a very small piece of plain fatty meat and 6 pieces of garlic bread. We were extremely disappointed. I don’t know how they can feel good about serving that for that price. I feel ripped off. Trust me when I say my partner and I are NOT normal complainers. We expressed our disappointment to the server, paid, left hungry and walked to Kalapawai and had a great meal.

Our bone marrow comes from a grass fed ranch on the big island and is described by our staff as an appitizer. Our prime rib is also locally sourced comes pupu style with house made sauces. The mission of our restaurant is sourcing locally. If you come back in please ask for the me, Mike the GM, we just launched our new menu I will ensure you have a great time.

Went for my birthday- the food was excellent and the drinks were awesome. Arrived Earle and had a drink in the garden, service was excellent and Kino was very friendly. The bartenders Jessie and Tevita made awesome and beautiful drinks. Danika our waitress was friendly, efficient and at our request made recommendations and they were delicious! Definitely will go again!

Perfect menu for a great Father’s Day dinner! Each course was creative and well presented with almost hidden subtle flavors, like even the mashed potatoes! My father in law said they were best. Can’t wait to see (and taste more from the new Chef Nikolai.

A MUST try if you are dining out and have young children. An absolute gem for parents! We had the Father’s Day special and it was our absolute best experience at a restaurant! Our 3 kids played outdoors right next to us and had a blast while my wife and I enjoyed the one of the best meals of our life! I have been to too many over-priced “fancy” restaurants that ultimately disappoint for the price and are no fun for the keiki at all. While I wouldn’t call this place fancy, The Boardroom exceeded all our expectations with the Father’s Day 4 course prefixed menu and was worth more than we paid. The service was from the hostess Monica and our server Katy was delightful! The wine pairing for each course was perfect and the cocktails were delicious, especially Pele’s Ambrosia because I love spicy drinks. The real treat was the outdoor play area for the kids that allowed mom and dad to enjoy our meal while the kids enjoyed themselves too.
