   The food was disappointing and there was a very hard sell on trying to push more wine. The restaurant itself is very nice and the setting is lovely but the food was mediocre at best.

    El restaurante muy bonito pero servicio terrible, tardaron una hora para llevarnos la comida y cuando llego llego mal, nos llevaron una parte del pedido incorrecto, por lo cual comimos a destiempo y tardaron otros 40 minutos en llevarnos lo que faltaba. Pedimos pan con ajo que llego de postre porque no llego junto con los platillos. Honestamente no volvería y no lo recomendaría jamás, lo que era una salida padrisima en familia termino con muy mal sabor de boca. Además la relación precio- calidad deja mucho que desear, el sabor de los alimentos no eS tan bueno, recomiendo prueben otro restaurante .

    We were so looking forward to going and everything was terrible. The ambiance is lovely but that’s about it. They served our appetizer of calamari raw that we had to send it back. That was just the beginning. The service was terrible and the food was terrible. The fish was over cooked and the portions small. Spent 180 US and stopped at Carls JR on the way home. 4 disappointed Canadians

    We enjoyed our return visit to The Blue Shrimp very much. The chile relleno with lobster is an interesting combination not seen on most menus. The huge blue shrimp were served butterflied and the selected garlic sauce was perfect. We began with the terrific Caesar salad made tableside by Victor who provided good service overall. Our only complaint was the high price of the Chardonnay.... we weren't provided with a wine list so we didn't realize how expensive the La Crema was. We will return but not make that mistake again.

    Surf & turf (filet mignon 8 onces, 3 langoustes, cuisson à point servis avec pommes de terre et asperges, entrée d’huîtres, dessert gâteau chocolat. Le meilleur steak à Nuevo. Avons essayé plusieurs autres restos à Nuevo pour le steak jamais à la hauteur du Blue Shrimp.

    This place is right on the lagoon so I got to see wildlife including a crocodile in the water while I ate. The Oysters Rockefeller were the best I’ve ever had. They were absolute perfection and the largest size I’ve ever been served lol. The shrimp lasagna was delicious. They’ve got a good selection of artisanal cocktails.

    It was really nice to discover the Blue Shrimp in Nuevo Vallarta. We've stayed in Puerto Vallarta many times but never ventured out to Nuevo, it's a much quieter and slower pace than Puerto Vallarta and the ride out there was only 20 minutes, which is what our commute to dinner anywhere else typically is, if not more. The restaurant has a tropical feel and decor to it, nice and casual. Table side Caesar salad was prepared, very good, and the huge shrimps were delicious. They also have very large lobster tails but we did not order lobster (looked good though!). They also have a pretty good wine list. We really enjoyed it and plan to dine there again on our next visit.

    Very touristy spot but cool location. Food was mediocre at best. Wait staff was pushing a $200 lobster tail which seemed excessive but the service was very good.

    I was annoyed that they charged twice as a much for the “special” than the price listed on the menu .. other than that the food was great could have been Warner and the service was great !

    BEST grilled shrimp in a very long time. Sat outside-had the Guacamole made tableside- it was delicious. Ordered Tamarind and Passion Fruit margaritas -something one could never find in the USA-out of this world We then had the jumbo blue shrimp(presume if you are going to call your eatery something with 'shrimp' in the name- it better be good. We were NOT disappointed Churro's with ice cream just topped off a night to remember. We will definitely be back

    If you love seafood, this place is a must-go-to in Nuevo Vallarta. Service was excellent, and the food definitely didn't disappoint! Easy cab ride, and pleasant atmosphere. Nice to get off the resort for a change of scenery and menu options. Highly recommend.

    I booked the Blue Shrimp as a Christmas Eve dinner with family and friends in Neuvo Vallarta. The ambiance was very fun. The restaurant was done up as one giant palapa and there were fun lights and great oldies music playing to pump up the vibe. The food was well done. My dish (the sea bass) came with a lot more seafood things than I expected, which was a nice surprise but also the scallops and sea bass were a bit over cooked. Regardless the rest of the meal was amazing and the portions were large. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and service. Would highly recommend!

    I think they had a bad night in the kitchen which led to problems in service as well as food quality. The kitchen was extremly slow and I heard multiple complaints from other diner's tables. There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion among the servers even though the restaurant only had about 8 tables seated while we were there. Our bread and lobster bisque which was good but, not great came out on time. The bisque was not overly creamy (good thing) and had flavor but, would have been better if some bits of lobster were included like many other restaurants do with their lobster bisque. After the bisque, things broke down. We waited about 40 minutes after for our main courses. We had a 700 gram lobster tail that was beautiful but overcooked and tough. We also had Jumbo Shrimp Arriero which was good but, again not great and lacked presentation. It appeared as a blob of stuff on a plate. I believe that our opinion of the Shrimp may have been shaded by the long wait. Our mixed vegatables that came with the meal were plain and unseasoned. Certainly not inspiring for such an expensive (by México standards) restaurant. Service disappeared after the bisque. I had to ask several times to passing waiters for an additional bottle of water. My wife asked twice for a second glass of wine which never appeared and we finally gave up asking (it did not appear on the bill). The waiter who I believe felt sorry about the evening did provide us with a free desert as an apology for the evening. We hadn't asked for any compensation and had not complained so, they knew they were having problems that evening. While our night was not the best, I will select "yes" on whether I would recommend to a friend. The potential was there for a great meal. Based on the numerous 5 star reviews they have, I believe we just hit a bad night which can happen to even the best restaurants.

    Very good food and service. Very expensive. Paid $100 (US dollars) for lobster, it was fantastic. Guacamole was made fresh at the table was excellent. Would recommend.
