Very good service and great food - thank you to the staff!
The Sunday lunch was the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had at a out it was amazing - I was apprehensive at first as the menu didn’t have chicken and also the kids menu is very limited and I would suggest needs a little more variety as children are fussy so chicken nuggets and a plain burger would be a good addition.
But the food itself was amazing and I would return on a regular just for the Sunday lunch so hats off to the chef!
And also we had a lemon and lime cheesecake for dessert which again was absolutely lovely !
So all in all for the standard of food, service and price I give top marks
Very good food. Great gluten free selection and EV charging.
The service was exceptionally good. Staff were efficient, polite and friendly.
Food was great, large portions and lots of choice. I definitely ate more than I should’ve because it was so good.
Nice surroundings, nothing flashy, comfortable and a bit like visiting a large cottage.
This pub is very near to where I live and my second visit since covid started to ease. The first thing I noticed was the price . Most meals averaged at £11 on my last visit now they are £15. Menu is trimmed right down so not much choice. I am sure there is a legitimate reason for this however not one single salad dish on the menu at the peak of summer which is very odd, particularly as their ceaser salad used to be the best ever !! Has this changed hands ?
Service was dire , still waiting for ice for our drinks 24hrs later 😂😂
Had to seek attention every time. Guy went to get a dessert menu, never to appear again
. The waitress managed to do this in 10 seconds when asked...... perhaps he went to the loo? Who knows . Overall a little disappointed. The gang that was there before were attentive , funny and the service was always fab. So sad really
Ideal stop off for my friends to have lunch and a catch up with me before heading back to Helston/Hayle. I have been before and will return again as I live locally...
Sadly for the first time in 3 years our lunch (sandwiches took 40 mins to come to us. Drink orders were forgotten until we prompted. Was not busy today and at no time were we told there was a delay on food. Such a shame as this is somewhere we go every month though I did note the usual manager was not on shift
We both had a fantastic sunday roast. Would highly recommend the blue ball.
Lovely Sunday roast as usual.
Good choice of meats, everything was cooked well and THE huge yorkshires are lovely
Very friendly and quick service. Food was excellent!
Friendly and unobtrusive staff combined with tasty food. Huge car park.
Amazing roast dinner as always, just wish I had room for dessert!
We had a lovely roast lunch at the Blue Ball on Sunday. Very cosy and comfortable setting, the food and service was also spot on. Highly recommend.
Good food, service was slow, alot of people waiting to order or to pay.
Good things in place with covid, however could maybe make use of an app for ordering / paying.
Staff were also challenging non mask wearers but this wasnt being inforced and quite a few customers were not wearing a mask / using their tshirts / hoodies.
Service was slow. Food was mediocre. Friendly staff.
Overall the food and service was very good. One issues was very hard bread with the salmon starter. (Suppose to be crouton style, but much to hard.
First evening meal inside a restaurant since the first lockdown! Tables well spaced and all the expected Covid precautions in place. Food was great. The service was a bit slow but they did have a large group eating outdoors that evening. We would definitely go there again
Excellent food all round good friendly service fully recommended
Fantastic meal at a very well run establishment. It was very clean and clearly well maintained. Food was lovely and we were tended to in a timely manner. Will definitely recommend.
Think they are trying to cram too many people in. Loads of stuff we ordered had run out and the rain meant the room we were in flooded. Puddle was at least an inch deep in places. Food was ok. Took ages though and the roast was a bit dry.
Food was amazing. Service fab but let down by two members of staff
Once again the team at the Blue Ball provided a wonderful experience with food of a fantastic standard.
I recommend this as a great place to meet/ socialise.
Excellent real ale and food was excellent for match day lunch, especially as it was fairly busy. Well set up for drinks outside and food inside and staff were plentiful and helpful. Definitely worth a stop before a Chiefs game!
Excellent food and service. Recommend to all. Thankyou
For a country Pub we found the staff very attentive and all requests (mainly for beer!) were dealt with quickly. The food is good value and the quality is as expected. We dined in the garden on warm summers evening so no complaints there either. Will visit again very soon.
The Staff were very help full the food was very good the beer was a little bit on the cold side and a little bit flat for me cause I like a head on my beer but it was ok
The service was terrible you waited at least 25 minutes for someone to take your drinks order the food was plentiful but the beef was chewy the roast potatoes were dry and the skin was difficult to cut the vegetables were mixed some cooked well others raw no one asked if the food was ok not even when we were paying the bill nor were we asked if you wanted to see the desert menu
A really nice place to eat. Excellent food. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Great surroundings and very Covid safe.
Great food. Just a bit of confusion and waiting about on arrival on where to seat us. We'd pre-booked and two separate members of staff were unsure where to put us in an almost empty restaurant - confusing to me too :-) However, this was resolved by who I think may have been the manager who arrived and seated us straight away.
Will definitely be back and would recommend.
Good meal. The standard of food is always very good. Service was good , as usual.
Overcooked tough beef, hard parsnips, booked table for 5pm as they close at 6pm, was told when we arrived by a barman that he was just about to close the kitchen... really welcoming.
Went for a Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed great service, friendly staff and the food was delicious. The only one thing I will say is I think for the price all roast should be served with a Yorkshire pudding.
Will definitely be returning
When I complained that my roast lamb was very fatty the waitress was very attentive and I was given a free pudding.
Good menu. Quality local food. Friendly but non intrusive service.
Good price for quality food.
Very good Sunday lunch with friends
Food was superb
Service under COVID rules was very good
Good food and nice surroundings. Felt that Covid rules were appropriately applied
Fantastic service, great choice on menu and taste food! Perfect, perfect, perfect!!
I love the Sunday roast here... definitely one of the best in the area! The garden area is very well covered so no need to worry if it rains. Very dog friendly too.
We arrived group of 5 was shone Are table service good all night staff all friendly food very good
