   The food at Blackbird is overrated. I ordered the chicken thigh w/gravy. The chicken is mostly breading and there is no side dish. Prices are a bit expensive imo. Overall experience is disappointed.

   I had made a reservation and requested a good table, we got there, and our table was not ready. We told the hostess we would just have a drink at the bar. We would really like one of the tables at the window. She told us one was getting ready to open and she would have it ready for us. We saw her getting things ready at the table and then she sat another couple and told us she had forgotten about us. We waited a little while longer, and then she gave us a different table. However, the first one was much nicer by the window and by the Christmas tree. Other than that little gaff, our experience was very good. Our server was very good. The food was very good.

   We had a great window table, it was the perfect romantic date spot to celebrate NYE! You definitely want a reservation ahead of time. The service was amazing, food was delicious, and atmosphere was cute and cozy. We had the cheese plate and fresh olive bread to start (this bread is a must). For our mains we had the scallop and trout risotto that and brazed beef that was perfectly cooked.

   One of four dishes out party had stood out - the corn pie. Otherwise the food was average. The service was friendly, but the sever was not knowledgeable about the food on the menu and there were several small shortcomings that contributes to a disappointing holiday experience. While other tables' smoked cocktails were smoked tableside and they received a tabletop chilling urn for their white wine, we did not for some reason. Moreover, when we asked for some additional cheese because the chef put a big hunk of rind on our cheese plate, the kitchen sent oversized chunks of other cheese, clearly meant as an insult to their customers who they apparently thought were boorish and unsophisticated. Overpriced and won't go back.

   Husband and i are in town to spend some quality time before he leaves for 12 weeks for firefighter training. this was such a good experience and i would recommend it to anybody stopping through! the food was amazing as well, so we went back the next day.

   The corn pie was to die for. Likewise the trout risotto was excellent. I also gave the Herbal Remedy Mocktail a try and wish I could buy it in a liter bottle. Blackbird is our go to place when we have out of town guests. We also appreciate their environmental and community values.

   The goat cheese omelet was excellent as were the sausage, potatoes and biscuit. I was pleased that the coffee was French drip and served in a multiple cup urn. The waitress was very attentive and helpful.

   We had a large party of 9 people. It was a perfect location in the restaurant. Amazing service & food! Highly recommend!!

    One of the most satisfying meals we’ve ever had. We had a late lunch so we just got apps and drinks, but wow!, that was all we needed. Amazing taste and textures. The only “miss” was the jalapeño cheddar cornbread starter was a little dry, but that was it. Seriously, run to this place!
