The Blackbird Restaurant is a Chef Owned Restaurant serving local, fresh ingredients. The Blackbird’s goal is to delight guests with cooking grounded in the traditions and ingredients of the Carolinas creating an unique and vibrant menu – New American with Southern Flares.

The menu features the seasonal best from local farmers, fresh catches from the coast of the Carolinas, incredible local micro-brews, specialty cocktails, and great wines from the around the world. Our menu changes seasonally to reflect the bounty of the area and the chef’s creativity. The Blackbird’s award-winning food, desserts and prompt service will impress you every time.

We are located in the heart of downtown Asheville, on Biltmore Ave. You can find us at the corner of The Aloft Hotel.

Parking Garage is located at the back on Lexington Ave. The first hour is free.

    A gem in downtown Asheville. Happy to see so many people helping rebuild this wonderful city. Parking was a bit of a problem -- recommend using Uber or other ride service.

    Our dinner at The Blackbird was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. My wife had the goat cheese corn pie and declared it to be one of the very best meals she has had at a restaurant. Highly recommended as something you are not likely to see on a menu anywhere else. I had the seafood pirlau and also felt that this was surely one of the best seafood dishes I have eaten. Excellent flavor and great variety in the ingredients. Our waiter, Don, was very attentive and knowledgeable in helping us to make our selections. Nice man and, in a nice coincidence, he lived in a suburb of Philly not far from where we spent most of our lives. Great atmosphere, very attractive space. We highly recommend The Blackbird.

    Meal and service were fantastic. The restaurant was very accommodating of my daughter’s food allergies. Highly recommend. The server (who has waited on us before) made a great wine suggestion. He actually offered a better and cheaper selection than I was considering. Great place that would shine in the West or East Villages in Manhattan.

    We ordered a paper plane and the picante cocktails. Delicious! The trout and scallop risotto was exceptional. My husband tried the salmon special. The fish was cooked to perfection. Definitely will be a repeat restaurant for us.

    We were really delighted with our experience at the Blackbird. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and there were many choices for vegetarians and vegans. The portions were very generous and we can't say enough. Good things about the place. It is definitely a neighborhood gem
