The Black Sheep has a lovely dining atmosphere and the most friendly and accommodating staff! We had a party of eight and experienced the Chef's choice tasting menu and it was very enjoyable. There were a few selections that were not our favorites, but the experience over all was fantastic!

We tried their happy hour schedule. The happy hour food and wine are very good. the price is adequate. The food is around $14 each. The service is excellent. However, the fish dish we ordered from the regular menu is disappointed. The portion is very small. The size is almost the same as happy hour dishes. Small piece of black cod filet with small amount of cucumber for $34 is way too overpriced. With $34 you can order two more dishes from happy hour menu. We have not tried their tasting menu yet. But if you would like to keep ordering A la carte, would suggest to go in happy hour to order from the happy hour menu as many dishes as you would like. Otherwise, you would be hungry when you walked out of the door.

Great bar with innovative cocktails. Unique food. Tuna carpaccio was a little tough but very tasty. Pomme frites yummy. Ricotta cavatelli was nicely done. Short ribs tender and well seasoned.

This is the second time in three months we have dined at Black Sheep Brasserie in Santa Barbara. Both times we were impressed with the professionalism of the staff, freshness of the food and creativity of the menu. It is surprising to us this gem is not packed dry night for dinner. There are lots of good choices to dine the area; Black Sheep Brasserie should be at the top of everyone’s list.

Amazing!!!! Celebrated our 20th anniversary and the chef did not disappoint. We had the 4 course tasting and were blown away with each plate. We don’t like or eat mussels but this dish was cooked so well and flavored to perfection that we ate the entire dish. Never had bone marrow and will now look for it in all future menus. Simply an amazing experience and flavor rollercoaster. Highly recommended!
