   Great, solid food! Get the salmon skin tacos - the salmon skin is deeply fried and used as the taco shell. It was unique and yummy.

   Travel for work from San Antonio. Wanted a treat but didn’t want to mess with the “Strip”. Food was very good but didn’t blow my mind. I don’t know what I was expecting but the salmon skin tacos was the whole reason I came as it sounded intriguing. It was very good but wasn’t the pop of flavor I was expecting. Almost as if under seasoned. The short ribs were excellent with a lot of flavor and very tender. Service was impeccable. I would go back if ever back in Vegas.

   First trip to Black Sheep. We really liked it. Cocktails were very creative. Food was excellent and the service was friendly. We probably made a mis-step by starting with the octopus - which was delicious but spicy. So our taste buds were a little fried for the softer flavors in the cocktails and the salmon skin tacos. The server probably could have steered us in a little better direction here. We did ask for the seafood first, but would not have minded the correction. Otherwise, we will be back.

    I was scouting out local restaurants to review for my YouTube channel, chef Jamie has hit a home run here. I’m looking forward to going back and hopefully getting an interview with her soon. The pear salad and the braised short rib were both delicious. Can’t wait to go back 10/10

    Love the creative menu. Most of the dishes lived up to expectations. Nicely presented in an upscale style neighborhood restaurant. Our server was particularly animated and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the food.

    We had a wonderful dinner, were late getting to our reservation, but called, and they were accommodating. Craft cocktails were awesome. We were waited on by the bar tender, she was amazing, social and attentive. Food was spectacular, each dish came spaced well, time wise, and was full of umami. Had the salmon skin tacos and beef tartar as apps and both were amazing. Can't wait to come back.

    We booked Black Sheep for a Feb 14, 2023 dinner. We pre planned our visit as we were traveling from Canada. All was fantastic! We had expected to be able to order off the full menu, however, given the special occasion of Valentine’s Day, the restaurant opted for a 3-course tasting menu with wine pairing. We didn’t expect this, but we were willing to keep our reso and enjoy the experience. It did not disappoint and we were treated to a great service this evening. The restaurant recognized that we hadn’t expected the tasting menu and treated us to a glass of champagne for dessert. Great customer service, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Thank you. Food, wine, service and ambience were terrific! Will definitely come back again when we find ourselves in the LV area. Congratulations to the Black Sheep team for a wonderful experience!

    Great small restaurant that delivers a memorable dining experience. Delicious craft cocktails. Wonderful appetizers, recommend the salmon skin tacos. Loved the poached pear salad, which is served table side and large enough to share. The fried trout, and short ribs main courses are my favorites. Nice selection of premium wines at reasonable prices.

    We've gone here for our anniversary two years in a row. Excellent food. Excellent service (thank you, Dale!). Outstanding cocktails. OMG the cocktails are DELICIOUS. Last year I really enjoyed the "Beetlejuice" when they had it. This year I SUPER LOVED the "Upside Down" (I think that's the name). Looking forward to our visit again next year.

    You know that feeling where after a weekend in Vegas you don't really feel like eating any more food? I arrived to The Black Sheep feeling that way. And then I had the best meal of my whole trip here! The hamachi crudo woke me up with a spicy oil and refreshing elements that got my palette going from "not hungry" to "give me more!" A sweet chili flavor that accentuates the sweet and savory flavor of the grilled octopus. And the rice cake that it comes with tastes unexpectedly like the bestest tater tot. The steak tartare is perfectly flavored and served on a piece of crunchy beef skin, like the best chicharone you are imagining. The seafood stew serves perfectly cooked mussels with a natural yet flavorful punch. The chefs here are masters of balancing each dish with their own unique heat. The tres leches cake is simply the lightest, most enticing version of this dessert I've had. A few tiny leaves of mint really brightens the dish. It's surprisingly large. I think two people can share it, but you may WANT more! The cocktails are great, and taste like the way the description makes you imagine, except even better. The Shark Bite really conveys the title and experience! The beer list is also very thoughtfully curated. I had a watermelon cider that was so good with the dishes. The meal was delicious, delightful, and refreshing. It was a cleansing and elevating experience after a weekend in Vegas, and I think you know what I mean! Enjoy your experience as the Black Sheep!

    Joel was great! Very attentive and excited by the food they serve. We loved everything we ate. The beef crisps are a must. The trout was the best my husband has ever had. The Wagu was perfectly cooked. Well done!

    I attend the Las Vegas home furnishings market/trade show twice a year and The Black Sheep is a “must visit”! This was my third visit and it did not disappoint! We had the Salmon skin tacos, poached pear salad, and seafood stew- all were amazing!

    I don't often write glowing reviews. However, this little gem deserves one. The Black Sheep had been on my radar for a couple years before finally making a reservation for January 28, 2023. There are many positive reviews and I always take them with a grain of salt because, in my experience, many reviewers simply do not understand how to judge quality of food, décor and service. That being said, my first impressions were very good. The restaurant is well decorated in black and white theme similar to a Parisian café. Lighting was dim - perfect for dining. Modern music was low, as it should be. The volume of the room was relatively quiet - again, perfect for dining. The menu is short and I appreciate this because it generally indicates a mastery of the few items they offer. To start, we shared the poached peach salad and Spanish octopus. The salad featured a whole wine-poached pear that was slightly sweet, firm and delicious. The greens, walnuts, prosciutto and dressing were tasty. The octopus was sweet and spicy, served with asparagus and ginger sauce - a perfect combination for the dish. My only complaint was that the octopus was overcooked. In my experience, it should be quickly parboiled and then grilled. It seems to have been excessively parboiled. However, the flavors were spot-on. Next, with a glass of Mendoza Malbec, the braised short rib and pork jowl arrived. Both dishes were an absolute pleasure. Succulent and tender, the dishes were bursting with flavor. We finished with a chocolate macadamia ice cream puff and key lime tart. Both were house-made and scrumptious; not too sweet and just the right size. At this point, we were already looking forward to our next visit. The Black Sheep is now near the top of our favorite restaurant list. A special thanks to Moo, our server. He was polite, knowledgeable, professional and concisely described the menu and our dishes. Overall, this was a very special experience. We'll be back soon!
