We love this Bistro. Great food and good wine. Pretty views of the winery if you sit on the porch. We have had many different things here. The salads are good, the pizza, the brunch burger, the chicken salad sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich are all good. The Brunch menu has some really good items on there and the French Toast looks amazing. I am going to try it next time. Sometimes it is very crowded and you must have reservations. Occasionally you can get in without. Definitely try the almond or raspberry sparkling wine. Excellent with pizza.
Flat Creek Bistro was great as always. I made reservations that morning, and we went for brunch around 12:30. Not crowded at all, and very quiet. That said, the service was a little slow given that it wasn't crowded. We were not in a hurry, so it didn't matter too much. I will go back, as I'm a member of Flat Creek, and it's nice to get a good meal, and then walk over for a nice glass of wine in the tasting room.
We have eaten here many times and the food, wine, and service have always been outstanding. Additionally the location are excellent as well.
Last year we had New Year’s brunch at Flat Creek that was truly magnificent! Unfortunately when we went back this year with some additional guests the food flavors were excellent, but all the plates were cold. Especially frustrating since we had spent a lot of time getting everyone excited about the meal they were about to experience.
I will certainly return, but I will be a bit more reserved with my praise until after the food is served.
This place has the best crem brûlée and garlic and brie appetizer.
We enjoyed a Christmas Eve Black Glass Wine Class in the tasting room (highly recommend for anyone that enjoys wine as you will learn a lot and have fun) and followed that event with lunch at the Bistro.
Delicious food, excellent service, extensive wine list. I liked the fact that they pay their employees a living wage so any tips are donated to a charity.
We always enjoy our visits to the Bistro at Flat Creek Estates. We love the food and the wine. Our lovely meal, combined with the Thanksgiving Shopping Spree in the Pavilion and the live music all afternoon, made it a delightful experience.
A beautiful venue and delicious food and wine!!
Star- Gazing was a m a z I n g! Very informative and telescope impressive !
The property feels like being in France !
The Bistro is lovely, but we arrived mid-afternoon and service was very spotty. Took them almost 10 minutes to notice we were waiting to be seated and then we weren't given any information about specials until we asked our waitress, who at first didn't think they had any and then remembered that they did, but knew very few details. The food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. Disappointed for the price and the amount of driving required to get there. I realize that their servers don't work for tips (paid a living wage), but there should be some standard for service.
This was our first time here.... we loved it so much!!!! Our waiter Jerry was amazing! Thanks Jerry!
As usual, our experience at Flat Creek Bistro was very enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is always delicious, and of course, the mimosas with Flat Creek wine was delightful. High recommended!
The owners' are hands-on - I try to go monthly - beautiful countryside and a very good menu - simple but all good!
We enjoyed our brunch with out of state friends. We love taking visitors to the winery.
First time visit. Great food, great service. Wonderful views if you are there before sundown. Very peaceful and quiet.
We love the quality of the food, and the wines from the onsite winery. The pizza is also great for an afternoon lunch- thin crusted, and unique. We had a peach and Prosciutto pizza that was excellent, along with a lucious Tempranillo.
Beautiful buildings, great food and staff is exceptional.
Have to make a reservation in advance, but the service, food, and wine were all great!
This is a must-do if you are in the Hill Country! Regardless of whether or not you are wine connoisseur. The ambience is superb and the service is great! This was our second trip and for our wine tasting we actually got taken care by the ownser of the winery! It was an absolute pleasure! We want with kids 4-6 years of age and she and others were very patient.
Saturday brunch was great and the service fantastic.
Lovely winery. Beautiful setting in the hill country. Quiet and serene. The owner came to our table numerous times to talk about the different wines. She was very friendly and genuine. The food was delicious. The Rose wine was very good. We will definitely come back.
Another great meal experience at The Bistro at Flat Creek. Regular visitor and we love this place....food, people and ambiance.
We've been Flat Creek before, and it's always been good. The scenery and ambiance make up for the winery being out in the middle of nowhere. My one complaint was the lack of choices available when we dined (4 pm). Apparently we were either too late or too early to get anything other then salad, pizza, filet or a hamburger. No fish or chicken at all. I would avoid coming during this no-man's time.
Love the new menu items, and the new wine selections. I was pleased to introduce the bistro to some friends who didn't know they served such delightful foodie offerings. We had a lovely lunch on the back porch, with a lovely breeze compliments of mother nature.
The food was just ok for most of us. Mine was really not good. It was the baked eggs and tomatoes. Way overcooked. Also didn’t like that they wouldn't do separate couples checks. Probably won't go back.
The folks at Flat Creek Winery are fantastic! I love the ambience, the food, and of course the great wine selection. Outdoor patio's are a plus.
Beautiful setting in a vineyard, very isolated, a long drive. Food was great, service was friendly.
Reservation for Mothers day didnt disappoint. Madelyn took good care of us. Side note, tips are not accepted for some reason???
Always a pleasure dining here and they're terrific wines. Outside dining ambiance wonderful.
We visited Flat Creek for pre-Mother's Day dinner. They had an astronomer outside with a telescope and we spent the evening after stargazing in the Texas Hill Country. It was delicious and delightful! I highly recommend and wino to try Flat Creek!
Lovely outdoor seating with a nice view. Food was good, nice wine, service a little slow but we weren't in a particular hurry. The delight of the evening was an astronomer showing us our moon and Jupiter's moons through his 12-inch telescope!
My husband and I ate here on our visit to the Texas Hill Country. It was the best food from the overall trip. Everything on the menu is tasty. We ate outside and loved the atmosphere looking out over their vineyards. Felt like we were in Napa. Also did their wine tasting and toured the winery. Grounds are beautiful. Very friendly. Best vineyard to visit on any trip to the Hill Country. Not to be missed.
As usual, it was absolutely wonderful. You guys really do a great job. Keep it up.
The location itself is nice being a vineyard. But the dining experience fell way short of what l and my companion hoped for. The service was horribly slow. We got our wine fairly fast but our appetizer of bread and cheese took about 25 minutes. And it was not anything special. We never got refills of water and finally my friend just got up and went and got a carafe of water off the wait station. When our waiter noticed he just kinda laughed.
When he finally got around to taking our dinner order we had been sitting with empty app plates for about 15 or 20 minutes.
When we got our entrees, my friend's wood oven pizza was cooked perfectly but was cold. My pasta entree was hot but flavorless. So I guess her pizza just sat for a long time while my entree was prepared?
The waitstaff do not work for tips. Any cash left behind is supposedly donated to a children's cause. Maybe that is why the service is terrible. They get no benefit from giving good service.
We won't go back.
Love Flat Creek! The food is always good and the wine is excellent. A good reason to take a drive in the country, you won't regret it.
Best restaurant in the area. I surprised that more are not enjoying this great venue.
We had Easter brunch - the food was delicious - our reservation was for 12:30 pm and we didn't get seated until close to one - service was quite slow but they were very nice.
Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch on the patio with peaceful beautiful view. Could also order from the regular menus so choices not limited to brunch items. Will definitely return. Would like to try evening patio dining on a warm evening. Since it's at a winery, great wine, too.
It was very good! Food was outstanding, although a little pricey. The outdoor patio was excellent with the views. Great wine! Coffee was so-so. I will definitely go back. On this occasion, it was Sunday Brunch.
Great view when seated outside. I had the specialty pizza and my wife had the burger. Wife enjoyed her spring burger but the arugula/proscioto pizza had very little cheese on it.
Felt like I was eating crispy pizza dough and salad.
Great food, service and atmosphere!
