The Berghoff was recommended by a friend who had lived in Chicago for our visit. It did not disappoint. Superb food and service.

Waitress was outstanding! The Weiner schnitzel was a little dry but it was good. The sausage, sauerkraut and German potato salad was very good.

Never a disappointment. Awesome service throughout. Authentic German food. Ordered sides of hot German potato salad and red cabbage. Have their own brews if beer and root beer.

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Berghoff. Great food, great service and great ambience. We were especially grateful that we were able to hear each other and the noise level was minimal. Lovely evening.

Very good server. Good food and beer. However, finding an extra charge on our bill was a most unpleasant surprise. We were told it was “to avoid having to raise prices on the menu”. We felt tricked. It may keep the prices on the menu lower, but it was not what we had to pay!!
