A rejuvenated, updated local pleasure -
We came to the predecessor restaurant, Bel Air Bar & Grill, for many years, and are so pleased to find that "The Bel Air" is excellent, gives very good value for the food, and has eliminated some temporary glitches in service that troubled us in the past at BAB&G. Our waiter was very pleasant and had good timing. I had fabulous, moist, broiled Scottish salmon over tasty, crispy, salty potato strings, we shared a yummy, fresh-tasting tuna tartare, and our dinner companions loved their short ribs, calamari appetizer (which I tasted - wonderful, light and fresh), and simple pasta, prepared as requested sans cheese. I wish the offerings for wine by the glass were a little more extensive, and please, please bring back the awesome pear salad. I was sorry not to see that on the menu any more.
I used to love this place when it was Bel Air Bar & Grill- it used to be cozy and lively. The food was also not as great in my opinion. Our server was very attentive- probably won't be returning anymore.
I think I mentioned my feelings in you areas that I checked off...I would never go back to a restaurant that treated me and my guests so poorly. I was sick for 2 days
Every time I've been here they never disappoint. Excellent food environment etc A very returnable place as I visit from out of town.
So delicious. A cute little gem. Went on a Sunday and it wasn't packed at all, but they do have live music and I'm sure it's busier on weekends. Amazing food - so fresh and very large portions. Recommend to anyone! And can't wait to go back :)
Secluded and quiet. The good was just ok...great value for "Dine LA"
Service was very nice and friendly. Food is always good, but I eat all over the Westside of town and I think their price points are a bit higher, which causes me not to go there with any frequency.
I live in the Westside of town and was meeting friends from the valley, so it's a good meeting place. The restaurant is also aesthetically nice.
Really upsetting experience. Service was nice but food and restaurant interior is depressing
Always a pleasure to eat at The Bel Air! Food and service is consistently great! A neighborhood treasure!
We have eaten here before and wanted to revisit but was very disappointed and not how we remembered it.
There were three of us for dinner. Two people ordered the same thing and were disappointed in it...but I ordered the special filet and it was perfect. The Manager for the evening (David) was great...friendly, helpful and totally engaged with our table. Will try the restaurant again, as overall, we had a good experience.
Wonderful local hangout that also attracts diners from other areas of the city.
Menu has gone through many changes, but finally landed on many great entrees.
Ribs are truly melt in your mouth yummy.
Salads are fresh and flavorful.
The bar scene is hopping, with best martinis around.
The hosts, managers, bartenders, servers and help staff are top notch.
Dined here for a late lunch after a morning at the Getty . The place was quiet but very comfortable and a nice alternative to the other options in the neighborhood.
The Bel Air has great service and a very nice ambiance. I have lunch there often. The food is good; but it could be better. Still, there are few places more pleasurable.
This was the first time we had eaten at The Bel Air since it changed chefs and we were very disappointed with the food. It was all edible but unfortunately all uninteresting. Indeed, there wasn't a single item, possibly excepting the beer and Pimm's Cup, that we would consider reordering. It's sad, since this is one of a precious few West LA restaurants where the noise level allows you to carry on a dinner conversation but it's very unlikely that we will be back. Also, $150 plus parking for three appetizers, one main course, one desert, a beer and a cocktail is pretty rich for a neighborhood restaurant.
This restaurant has excellent staff and delicious food who clearly care about their customers and the taste of the ingredients. The location, 5 minutes from The Getty Center is convenient, because the Getty closes at a bad traffic time. But the prices are high and the ambience is not very fun, outdated, even when compared to other restaurants not so far away. There is no outdoor seating. The price for 2 teens and myself, each ordering one drink and a dessert, was $175.
Amazing, charming, good food! Lovely staff, clean, I LOVED IT!
The food and service are always great! We go again and again
It seemed an off night for food. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Noisy boisterous family with young kids pretty much killed having any quiet conversation with my 90 year old mother who is hard of hearing. Drinks are over priced, but bar is nice.
Very pleasant evening with friends. Good food, and nice wines.
I LOVE this place! The wait staff is very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The drinks and food are delicious, but know that you won't receive large portions. (I ordered the gnocchi and paid $22.00 for it to end up being literally eight small gnocchis with six mushrooms in a light wash of sauce.) The couple times I've been, it's been pretty quiet in the restaurant (I've gone once toward the end of the lunch rush and once at the beginning of the dinner rush.), but the music is wonderful. Bel Air Restaurant is definitely a keeper for just about any occasion!
Consistently good and wonderful service. We are regulars there. Never an issue.
The delicious food and pampered service never fails. Somewhat pricey, but worth it.
Fantastic as always! I dine her 3 to 5 times a month and have never been disappointed!
The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was exceptionally good - fresh and tasty. We would definitely go back
Nice, quiet atmosphere. Good food and excellent cocktails. We arrived at 9.15pm and were the last to leave - the staff did not make us feel rushed, even though they were probably keen to clear up and go home!
The Bel Air does a good job. I really enjoyed the 1/2 chicken. The homemade sauce was outstanding. The veggies were nice . The only miss was the fries were served barely warm but they were replaced. The staff were all friendly. Bottom line is I'll be back.
The food does not warrant such high pricing. $22 for a burger?
12 of us came for Mother's Day and we have a lovely time. The food was good, Daniel our server was fantastic and it wasn't hectic like so many places on a holiday. It is right off the freeway so for all of us that came from different directions, it was super convenient.
This is an old favorite of mine - the food and service are great!
