Three of us ordered a lot of things. Here are some hints. Conch fritters were really good but the croquetta de congrejo (crab fritters ) were spectacular. Same with the onion soup and she crab soup. While both were good, the crab soup was the better. I didn't try the jamon but it looked lovely. My friend like the taste of the philly cheese steak but it was messy to eat. Everything about the lobster rolls was wonderful, including the rolls themselves. The leeks were ok but the eggplant was amazing. My friend loved the crab louis cone but it really was tiny. Finally, I didn't taste the key lime pie but my friends really liked it. The wait staff was well trained and described each dish as it was delivered so we understood what we were eating. There are two options for tasting menus, but whole table has to order it. We were more than full with the items we ordered. The evening was a pricey treat but worth every penny and we all agreed we would do it again.

Our dinner was interesting, but not spectacular as we expected. One of our two person party had to wait 15 minutes for his salad/entree AFTER the other person was served. There is "near the bar" table seating on the main level, which is where we were seated without asking for our preference. Our dining was contaminated by F-bombs coming from the three diners at the table so close to us. Disgusting! As we were leaving, we saw there was table seating on a mezzanine up the stairs just above us. We asked the host about that area and he said it was for dinner seating only. I replied that I would have appreciated being given a choice of seating (90% of tables were open) since we had to listen to extremely foul language from the downstairs table next to us. He shrugged.

The food was amazing. For over $600, for two people, the service was disappointing.

Another lovely dinner at a Jose Andres restaurant. The menu is unusual and the servers offer great guidance in making your selections. Everything was delicious! The prices match the upscale ambiance, but it’s a great choice for a special occasion

Good food if you like smaller inventive bites. It’s a fun place to try a bunch of things and the drinks are great. Wine list is extensive and many decently priced options as well. My only gripe is that I’ve been here a few times and each time i get kind of a crappy table. This time was more in the bar area and it’s not like I was a walk up. I had mentioned it was for a birthday on the reservation and I make reservations a month in advance. It’s a cool space overall but not all the tables are equal. Some are really close together. Some of way off in a corner behind a beam. Service is just ok but maybe this last time had to do with us sitting basically at a bar table. But each time has been a bit rushed. We tend to order slowly as you could get 5 dishes out at once. Order a drink and a couple plates. Repeat a few times as you want for Gauranteed pacing of your plates.

For the price point, I expect service to be flawless and nearly invisible and each dish to be great. Bazaar didn’t quite have it down. While our team of servers was kind and enthusiastic, they seated us where they had to keep asking us to hand them dishes and glasses, and weren’t there when we needed them. The food was hit and miss. A couple great dishes, a couple okay ones (for instance, the boneless wings were very chicken-y, not very flavorful). And the timing for the courses was all over the place, sometimes showing up too fast, sometimes we’d finished our wine pairing long before a dish arrived. Finally, the desserts were all explained to us, but few of them tasted like they had the promised ingredients. So, all in all, my family had a very good time and the food and ambience were decent, but for over $1200 for a dinner for four, I expect a whole lot better.
