The Barn is one of Block Island's best kept secrets. This unique dining venue features an open kitchen and a wood fired grill, which creates wonderful flavors that cannot be duplicated at home. As soon as you step into the Barn, you immediately feel welcomed. A combination of our culinary staff cooking right in front of you and the intimate ambiance creates a perfect evening. ** Reservations are highly recommended and credit cards may be taken to hold your time. A $100 charge will be incurred if a reservation is not canceled within 8 hours of your scheduled arrival time. This setting is designed for a quiet dining experience for adults and children above the age of 12 only.

Please be aware of booking counter top seating. Please know if you do make a "counter top" reservation, this will be at our Chef's Bar, which will be at bar stool height.

    I had the halibut. You can never go wrong having any type of fish at the Barn. They know how to cook it and what should accompany it

    I had high expectations and found everything adequate. We had to wait to get a pre-dinner drink. If I hadn’t asked about the specials, which I heard another waiter mention, I wouldn’t have been offered it. A sales opportunity missed, as we were asked about a dessert choice half way through our coffee . Just disappointed given the Spring House reputation.

    Ate here last year, amazing. This year, made a reservation several weeks in advance. Had to wait over 15 minute's for our table to be ready, told, 'were getting you a better table ' Sat, got water service immediately. No service for drinks for over 20 minutes. Had to flag down another waitress to ask her which would be taking our order as people who were sat after us already had drinks. She was kind and took our drink order and was surprised we were not assigned a server. After receiving our drinks, we placed our app order and then placed our dinner order. Food arrived on time. However, I ate the bouilliabase last year which was amazing. This year, I was served a half lobster still in its shell with a cracker and a plastic lobster bib. At 64.00 per plate, I do not want to crack open a lobster claw while wearing a nice dinner dress. Very disappointing. I did not crack open the claw so that I wouldn't splatter the rest of my table with red fish sauce. A bit of advice, de shell the shellfish for a bowl of bouilliabase at a nice restaurant.

    Disappointing. The highlight of the experience was the staff, who were all extremely pleasant. Unfortunately, we felt very rushed throughout dinner. We ordered a charcuterie board, some appetizers and main dishes. Our appetizers were put in front of us before we had even finished the charcuterie board. The grilled artichokes, while visually quite beautiful, were pretty flavorless. And my extraordinarily expensive steak was beyond disappointing. It was Chewy and not particularly flavorful. The other issue was the heat. There is an open kitchen and we were sitting not far from it. The temperature steadily rose throughout the evening, and when we asked if they could turn up the air conditioning, we were told it was broken. Overall, not at all worth the very expensive price tag.

    We had an early dinner in the back room lovely table by the window The only problem was a large number flies Food was great the flies too abundant from enjoying such a beautiful place Lloyd gillard

    My favorite dinner experience on BI…from start to finish! Great welcome, attentive staff & food was perfection! Lobster bisque 10/10. The brussel sprouts and burrata salad were delicious! Would recommend the scallop dish. Will definitely be back on our next trip!

    We waited just short of an hour for our entree. The service was sub par for the $$$. Over $200.00 for dinner and one glass of wine for my wife. Both the server and one staff member stacked our plates on the table. I can go to Applebees for that kind of service.
