Located in the gloriously updated first floor of The Hollywood Roosevelt, The Barish is Chef Nancy Silverton's latest addition to the Los Angeles dining scene. Our restaurant pays homage to Nancy's family who raised cattle at the Barish Farm in central Canada. The menu features steakhouse classics, pasta al forno, along with some of Nancy's reimagined Italian favorites. We look forward to seeing you.

Nice ambience at the Roosevelt Hotel service was very professional and he recommended some very nice dishes for example we had the pizza fritta and the anchovies and the tomato salad and the rigatoni and the New York steak and at the end we had the cookie dessert and a couple of coffees oh she had a specialty whiskey drink and I had the ginger non-alcohol beverage & couple bottles of water everything including 18% was $280 so yes nice job and the food was pretty innovative and the preparation‘s were on point so keep up the great work and we will recommend and be back sooner than later so thank you

Overall positive experience. A bit of a scene but that is to be expected at the Roosevelt on a Saturday. Food was flavorful and high quality. A smidge overpriced, but again, typical for the location. Service was solid and cocktails were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Nice atmosphere, good service. Salads were good as was steak. Porkchop ($48) was rubbery. Having to pay to for all sides raises the overall price of dining here considerably. Not a fan of the automatic 18% service fee charges they charge. Everyone at our table of four laughed when they placed my ridiculously small glass of iced tea on the table (and charged $4 for a refill).

Great place for a special date but could see sitting at the bar and having a martini with one of their great salads or other plates on my own. Such a nice room. The portions are good sized and delicious. Our waiter David was so professional without being stiff or pretentious. He really took care of us while never being intrusive. We felt good being there and enjoyed the entire experience. Can’t wait to return and try more items. The menu is so well thought out there is something for everyone to love.

Could not eat the food. Way too salty. Pointed this out to the waiter. He did nothing. We had 3 courses. Only one course, the salad was edible. We were charged for a complete meal. Don't think that I have ever had such a bad meal in my life.

If you were on the fence about having dinner here, Just do it! While the prices might look a little high, what I didn’t know beforehand was the food is served family style, It’s enough for your table depending on what your order.

Had to try Nancy's new restaurant and it didn't disappoint.

Our long awaited dinner was very good. Very pleasant greeting upon arrival in spite of being 20 minutes late. Our evening was perfect thanks to our great service by David. Great variety.

They added the tip on the bill without telling me and then taxed the entire amount. Adding a $16.50 valet charge to mediocre food, I will not be returning to Barish.

Food was delicious! Server, David, was outstanding. So nice to dine where server wants to talk about food!! We talked with Armand the chef. This guy knows more about beef than any other chef I have ever talked to. He is knowledgeable about all his product and his sources. Delightful!! It was a very enjoyable evening!

First time in…food was spectacular! One miss step by the server but the manager was VERY quick to correct the issue! The Chef’s presentation of lamb and pork chop will definitely have me coming back for more!

Nancy Silverton again hits it out of the park! A remarkable space in the very historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the lobby bar area and then off to the restaurant. Besides flavorful, all of the dishes were very eye appealing, like works of art! Our waiter (David) set the mood from the moment he walked up to the table. Enjoyable and in fact very professional in a city of actors, trying to be waiters trying to be actors.

Seems like they licensed Nancy's name and did their own thing. Food was bad. Their take on a popover was barely edible (props for the healthy serving of prosciutto). Soggy, eggy, nothing popover-ish about it. Lamb was ordered medium but it was pretty rare. Lobster was okay, but v unmemorable (which isn't the experience you want when eating lobster).

Thé NY strip steak tasted like cheese - it was over tenderized and list the natural meat texture. The sides we ordered arrived 15 minutes after the steaks. We had a reservation at 8pm and weren’t seated until 8:25. Went thé the lobby bar for a drink while we waited for our and there was only one server for the entire lobby bar so we were never able to order a drink. This restaurant has kinks to work out in the kitchen and with the table service.
