    The Winter Chalet Experience features a beautifully curated, family-style menu designed to bring people together over bold flavours and seasonal comfort. Savour a hearty, winter-inspired feast made for sharing – with housemade dips, slow-roasted lamb, baked fish, seasonal vegetables, and a decadent dark chocolate fondue to finish. Indulge in a welcome mini martini flight per person featuring three winter inspired mini cocktails. Winter Chalet experience is available Tuesday - Saturday between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. One smaller dome seats 2-4 guests and two larger domes seat 5-8 people. Please note this is an 18+ only experience.     The overall experience with the food and drinks was lovely, and the Winter Dome dinner itself was stunning. However, the service from the Supervisor (I believe his name was Red) left much to be desired and unfortunately made both myself and my partner feel quite uncomfortable. We had booked a Winter Dome in the private garden and arrived early, choosing to have a drink in the bar beforehand. Upon arrival, the Supervisor appeared unwelcoming and was hesitant to provide us with a table—perhaps assuming we weren't VIP guests. He directed us to the Winter Domes, stating drinks were being served there, which turned out to be incorrect. The domes were still being set up, and the waitress, confused as to why we’d been sent up, redirected us back to the bar. When we returned, we had to insist on being seated, as the Supervisor remained reluctant. Thankfully, another staff member kindly assisted us and confirmed our drinks bill would be added to our Winter Dome dinner bill upstairs. However, when we went to head up to our Dome, the Supervisor stopped us and insisted we pay for the drinks immediately. We explained what the other staff member had told us, but he dismissed this and proceeded to process the payment himself. Only afterward did he realise the bill had in fact already been directed to the Dome, at which point he allowed us to proceed—without offering any apology. His attitude from the outset was unfriendly and unwelcoming, which was very disappointing, especially as locals wanting to enjoy a special evening. On a positive note, the rest of the staff, particularly the waitress and the other gentleman, were wonderful, and the Winter Dome experience itself was truly memorable.

    We took our Mum for Mothers Day High Tea and the Bar and the experience was disappointing. While the staff were friendly and helpful there were obviously some issues that need to be resolved. Our table was not set properly (we were missing napkins, teaspoons, sugar and none of the tea cups was filthy). The food, especially the savoury was average while the sweets were well made in the whole. We had a nice time and Mum enjoyed it but there are definite areas that need improvement.

    I had the best birthday party ever at The Bar High Tea for a group. The dessert in particular was exceptional.

    The high tea was elegant tasty and filling - the scones were delicious and served warm - perhaps make a serviette avail to cover them to keep warm - other feedback for awareness is to add another savoury(?) that’s not a criticism in any way!

    High Tea was great, however the equivalent GF selections provided seemed like an after thought and were up to the standard on the non-GF selections.

    The food was excellent and the service was A1. The spaghetti and calamari were fresh and tasty. The wait staff friendly and attentive. The ambience is lovely. Only complaint is we booked this expecting to be in restaurant but on arrival was told that due to Covid they were only serving in the bar area. Disappointed this was not known beforehand. Otherwise a lovely dinner and experience.
