Thanksgiving Brunch before the game!
We enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs and whitefish dip for appetizers. Entrees at our table were short ribs, roasted chicken, coulette steak, and quinoa salad. Everyone was pleased with their meal. It was a lovely dinner.
The whitefish dip was amazing and so was the ricotta gnudi and the coulette steak. The service was very attentive despite being very busy. Overall a solid experience - I would dine here again.
Fabulous first impressions. Food presentation very inviting, delicious selections. Beverages top notch and bar tender accommodating of requests. Rory great server, knowledgable, friendly, helpful. All staff operated like well oiled machine working together to provide a seamless experience.
Valet parking needs some education on etiquette in providing service. The valet service I am used to the valet opens the passenger door upon arrival and any doors of those exiting the vehicle. The valet also opens the doors when the guests are departing and closes the doors as they are settled in the vehicle. A few words such as - "have a great dinner" "hope everything was great" "looking to see you again" "thank you" would have helped the valet experience and perhaps produced a tip on top of the valet fee paid.
Wonderful food and staff! We had a lovely brunch🙂
Mostly everything on the menu is made from scratch. Even the everyday fare is made with precision and craft.
Absolutely love the environment, vibe and delicious food.
Table 30 mins late. Server lacked any menu knowledge on specials or food served. Overall disappointing based on reviews.
Been going to Apparatus Room since 2017 and I've noticed a slow decline in the quality of the ambience, the service and the frequency of menu refreshment. The menu has stayed the same for several months now, where previously it had some great seasonal items. I feel like this is drifting from a fine-dining experience in a trendy setting to a cafe style fast food joint. The music was way to loud.
Menu was a little small for my liking but everything we ordered was excellent.
We went here for my moms birthday. Really nice decor and ambiance - warm. The food was good clean fun. Tasted like farm to table. Nice
We loved everything: the ambiance, service and food. The serving sizes were moderate and very tasty and filling with side dishes. Valet was a welcome touch. The history of the building is fascinating and added to the overall experience.
Great food. Wish that the bar/lounge menu was offered in the dining area and that they had the burger as a menu staple!
Too loud for us.
Overall what a great experience this time! However, they were a bit backed-up for our reservations. This is completely understandable; however, we were told to hang by the bar they will get to us a soon as possible. Sadly, after 45 mins and us seeing others being seated after we came, I had to remind the hostess we were there. Only after this, were we seated. #theforgottenones It is our belief, had we not done that, we would have waited indefinitely... We still love the place, but to be forgotten on a Monday night? #dobetter
We have been there for many times. We love Apparatus Room. Awesome food, drinks and service like always!
Love Apparatus room. Service was a little slow but otherwise everything was great!
Food and ambience was good but our server was pretty poor. We were seated and no one approached for about 10 mins until I asked the passing waitress who our server was. She went to find out and said just some confusion and he would be over. Okay, no problem. He took our drink and food order and at least 15 mins elapsed and no drinks so I waived down the host and asked if they if they could send our waiter over and he was standing talking to a coworker. He comes over and is like "yes??" and then remembers I had a mimosa and I reminded him my mom ordered a tea. He brought that back and food finally came out maybe 45 mins after being seated and it was breakfast food. Thinking he forgot to put in our order because others seemed to be getting there food. Another wait person delivered our food. Mine wasn't totally correct but she got it fixed. He never really asked if we were okay or if we needed drink refills etc. Finally when we were done our waiter asked how food was and I asked for the check which he delivered with incredible alacrity. It was a nice place and the food was tasty but I was afraid we would be late to 2pm show (brunch reservation at 1145) and the only other complaint is that it was chilly and every time front door to restaurant/hotel opened, you felt it in the restaurant and we were a ways from entrance. It would be nice if there was a way to block some of the cold
Great atmosphere. Brunch was good but pricy for what it was.
Very cool building. Seemed to be staffed well, but slow service. Not hot food. Tried it for brunch. Wasn’t bad at all. Just had higher hopes.
Service could have been better - my friend waited over 30 minutes for a latte. Our water carafe ran out several times and we had to track down our server to ask to refill it each time. The food and drinks were great for brunch and we loved the atmosphere!
We were at the venue as a wedding reception was going on in the bar area. I honestly loved it as it gave a good vibe out. I got the short ribs and let me tell you something, get the short ribs. They were amazing and I enjoyed my cocktail as well. The wife and I were celebrating 10 years and they brought us out a glass of champagne at the end. With good food, good drinks and good vibes you can’t go wrong!
All the employees were so sweet! But I did have to wait 30 minutes to get seated regardless of my reservation. It was very packed. Great environment though!
The food and atmosphere were wonderful! However, we waited 40 minutes for our table to be ready, despite arriving on time, the valet left our car running outside for 15 minutes, and our waiter disappeared after serving us dinner. Despite these struggles, we had a great time.
I’ve been a regular here and left many positive reviews. We were here tonight to celebrate a birthday. Instead we felt like wedding crashers. A private party ate in a smaller adjoining room and then was allowed to take over the large bar area adjacent to the dining room, with a DJ playing pop music full volume so wedding guests could dance, cheer, shriek, and party down. Diners raised their volume to try and converse. It’s an open space and sound reverberates. We brought a fine wine along and needed a decanter; the waiter said “the wedding party used all the decanters.” We had to use a water carafe. The birthday guest wanted scallops, but “the wedding party ate them all.” We couldn’t hear each other or our waiter. Party goers wandered around our table. Servers I know stopped to apologize for the din and situation. Our server sent the manager, who wouldn’t have the DJ drop the volume but offered to move us to the room now vacated by the wedding, which was insulting - and unsanitary in a pandemic. We decided to box our dinners, order and share one small dessert, and leave. The manager comped small glasses of dessert wine to toast the birthday guest - who couldn’t hear what we said. Wedding guests had fun. We, feeling like paying interlopers, did not. Food was mediocre. Menu is now very limited. The future belongs to parties, not diners, who clearly are not valued.
The entrees and ambience were amazing! The starters and drinks weren’t what we were expecting for the price. Overall it’s one of those places you should check out and hang out at at least once :)
We had a reservation and we showed up early and had drinks while we waited. At the time of our reservation they had no table for us. When we were finally seated the server gave me a used glass for my water with lipstick on it. He apologized and brought me a new glass. The food wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. The smoked fish dip was the best thing I ate that night. I would go back but only for the ambiance and drinks.
This restaurant came highly recommended to us. We were visiting from another state so we were looking for something special. Our server was very kind but did not seem to know anything about the drink menu when I asked questions. I ended up with a drink I didn’t like. I then ordered another drink and I think the server didn’t hear me over the music, because he brought something else entirely. My husband ordered oysters that were not prepared properly. Our entrees were excellent. We then ordered a normally warm dessert that came out cold in the middle - obviously it was frozen and not heated properly. I would not return.
Great food, great cocktails, good service, very loud
Very expensive limited menu I left hungry at
My husband and I had a date night here it was really nice the music ,food, and service was amazing
Great experience - except the long strand of hair in my food. They were quick to apologize and give me a new dish.
Definitely a great "Date Night" spot. Food was great, was crowded but not too loud, music not overwhelming, service was great. Will be back soon.
Gorgeous restaurant, the waitstaff was friendly, but the experience with the host and valet was bad, they were borderline rude, the food was decent, but not at the level you would expect. Overall this would be a good place to grab a cocktail and enjoy the ambience, but I would not eat there again.
My sons birthday. Took our family to celebrate. Two of my kids ordered short ribs. Both meals were bad. Short ribs not only fatty but also tough. My kids did not complain but left over half of their meals. My husband and I ordered chicken. That was really good.
Ashley was our server and did a chefs menu for us, which we loved! The service was great and friendly; the setting is always stunning. Come out to dinner and support your local favorites so they can wow you and you can help them survive!
Pretty good experience. The beef tartare and steak were great. I thought rorie could’ve been more attentive. She forgot to put in my friends order of potatoes, forgot to bring additional forks for our entrees. Also, my friend found a hair in his salad. They did provide a free dessert to make up for it. But still not something u wanna see.
It was our first time visiting The Apparatus Room. We loved the atmosphere, decorum, and appreciated that many of the elements of the original firehouse remainder. Our server was friendly and professional. Our food great! We like our steaks rare and it was perfect. We will definitely return. Oh not to mention, we thought the craft cocktails were DELICIOUS and price was also reasonable.
Nice place, food was tasty. Recommend for a night out
