   We had a brunch reservation for 1:30 on Mother’s Day. After being seated we were told half of the brunch menu items were no longer available. We had our appetites set on the chicken and waffles, and a strudel which the restaurant was out of. We had to settle for a burger for brunch. I wanted to show my mom and sister who was celebrating her first Mother’s Day a fantastic time but I fell short as a result of the restaurant not being able to fully accommodate us with 50% of a brunch menu available.

   It had been a couple of years so I decided to give this one another try. The experience this time was better, the scalloped diakon and mushroom was really good. It was a little heavy on the butter and oil, but the flavors were good. Same with the brocolini, the flavors were spot on but the oils were a little heavy. Overall it was a good experience.

   We had brunch reservations after my daughters graduation. Service started off good with some unique and tasty cocktails. Ordered smash burgers and firehouse breakfast, biscuits/ gravy and fried chicken and waffles. It seemed to take a long time for such simple items, so long we ordered another round of drinks that probably took 15 minutes to get and still no food. It wasn’t that crowded when we ordered but saw order after order leave the kitchen before ours. The smash burgers patties were paper thin, over charred and dry (I politely mentioned to the waitress that the burgers were probably the dryest I've ever had). Also, something in my burger was not chewable, it was either paper wrapper or?? The waffle was very tasty but the crispy chicken was fair. again kind of dry. The breakfast potatoes were “hollow”. Overall it was not worth the price of the food. The check has a 3% up charge for credit so we paid cash and was returned change on the 3% up charge price. Our waitress quickly fixed the mistake. In my opinion, if they couldn’t hit the mark with simple breakfast and burgers, I don’t think I’d come back for a dinner disappointment at twice the price.
