We’ve exposed brick walls and wooden ceiling beams, centered one of the largest outdoor seating spaces in the city around a swan fountain, and crowned the coffeehouse with a reclaimed church rose window restored as a chandelier.
We’ve created the Abbey to give a sense of place, the feeling that you’ve discovered something novel, yet close to home. We’ve brought together a coffeehouse, two bars, and a bistro all under a single roof. We're exploring the world of craft - come explore it with us.

The food was good with the exception of the charcuterie platter. It featured a single type of meat and a single type of cheese and both were in extremely tiny portions and the cheese was crumbly beyond recognition. The waiter did take it off the bill at least but I was amazed that they'd serve it. In addition the pretzel crostini were stale. The pickled veggies on it were good but there were very very few. At 18 dollars I'd expect more than an ounce of cheese/meat combined. I tend to order charcuterie and cheese boards at other restaurants and this was by far the worst.
The fish fry, meatball and polenta, and chicken and waffles were good although the collard greens were so salty as to be inedible (at this point I didn't feel like sending them back). I think there needs to be some quality control put into place at the Abbey so that there's some consistency.
Great food, quick service and good drinks! Made a reservation online which was easy.
Out of many menu options. Food burnt. Asked for 2 checks at a table of 7 and they were not correct. Waited so long for someone to come back to our table we just paid incorrect bills. Won’t go back.
The food, cocktails, and coffees were great! We went for brunch, and the portions were large, and tasted wonderful. Would definitely recommend and will be going again!
Could have been a lovely brunch. The website states that the brunch is from 9 AM to 3 PM with coffee and brunch cocktails. Nowhere that I can find, does it indicate that brunch cocktails DO NOT begin till after 10AM. Our reservation was for 9:15. So if you’re looking for just breakfast I can recommend. But if you’re looking for brunch with mimosas be certain to book a later reservation.
What a wonderful place. We had bangers, mash and pub fries - every bite was a masterpiece. Highly recommend the Abbey to anyone looking for fine dining and a warm atmosphere.
This is a wonderful place for Sunday brunch where you have a variety of menu items, both breakfast and lunch. The service was fantastic, food delicious and drinks yummy!!! We did not feel rushed whatsoever. Reservations are highly recommended however.
Great food. Excellent beer selections. Moderate price. Not noisy. Could carry-on a nice conversation with friends.
This is a great place. Very sprawling/spread out. Noise level perfect so you could talk to each other. Food was excellent. Service was quick and price was very reasonable. It was my first time there and hope to be a repeat customer.
Amazing night out with great food and wonderful service.
Quiet early evening dinner-service was outstanding
Perfection! This is easily one of my favorite spots now. Love the whole vibe and the food is delicious.
Yummmm, loved the sausage chicken biscuits
Good food, good drink selection.
If I could recommend something, probably music playing through the restaurant. Otherwise it's a great atmosphere.
We were seated promptly in an area we requested with no problems. Service was excellent and friendly. The meal was very good.
We absolutely loved the Abbey. Very cool ambiance/vibe. Feels like an English pub and there’s several rooms throughout the building (bar/coffeehouse/dining area). Our server was great and food was excellent! Highly recommend the pub chips appetizer. Delicious!
We had brunch at the Abbey on Sunday. My sister was in town visiting and we wanted to do something special. As always, the food was great and the service was good.
I had the veggie omelette which was plenty of food and delicious. My boyfriend and brother in law had the Corned Beef and Poached Egg breakfast sandwich. It was on a pretzel bun! And my sister had the Chicken and Biscuit sandwich. She said the chicken was amazing.
Not only was the food terrific but so were the drinks. My sister has a frozen coffee drink that was like a dessert. Yum.
I highly recommend brunch at The Abbey.
Very cool location
both meals were great and a good blend of flavors. Salad came with dinner instead of ahead of time otherwise perfect.
Atmosphere is cool and trendy. The food selection was a bit small. I wanted soup but they only had 1 choice for the day and I don't like chicken noodle. The cheese dip wasn't what I liked either but the butter nut squash ravioli was good
Actually too much food per serving, not hot enough. Ambiance less than expected by the online pics
They had plant based options that were wonderful, and great tasting brunch drinks. The food was beautifully presented as well.
We were seated out on the enclosed porch and the additional heaters kept us warmed until the temperatures increased. Our comfort was continually monitored.
We were getting together to make plans for upcoming events for a singles group and we stayed well past the normal allotted time but we never felt like we were being rushed out.
Wonderful place!!!
Can’t wait to return
I’d also like to visit their coffee shop
Had a fantastic, romantic dinner in the back room under the awesome starry lightbulbs. Our server was adorable and on her game! It was my first time for dinner there, and I will definitely be returning.
The food was excellent and so was the service. Cozy atmosphere as well.
Great experience, good service and food. I would recommend a private booth instead of a table where others are sitting right next to you. Also, this restaurant could do a better job of packing up your left overs. They literally placed mashed potatoes and gravy in a thin cardboard box with no lining.
Great place for dinner and a business meeting where I could clearly carry on a good conversation. Our server was very attentive and the food and drinks were very good.
As usual found the Abbey to be a wonderful place for meeting and dining
We have been dining here roughly every eight weeks for about 30 months or so, mostly for lunch but occasionally dinner. We find the staff to be gracious and engaged, and that the kitchen consistently executes brilliantly on the menu's promise. We highly recommend this Butler Street eatery.
On time seating for reservation. Comfortable booth. Delicious food. Good price.
Always great food. Love the atmosphere!
The decor in this place is very creative and fun. The wait staff works really hard to keep everyone happy. The food was very good. I had the house burger and the Caesar side salad. Both were very good.
Really nice place, cool vibe, server was very friendly. Food was ok. Liked the place (too bad the date didn't go better lol!!)
Restaurant wasn’t busy, but we were seated in a room by ourselves even though there were only three of us. It felt empty and lifeless. Food was good overall, but not great. No off the menu specials. Waiter was fair, but not especially friendly. Cocktail was awful, but not replaced. Place is very cute and might have been better on another night.
Came here for brunch with my husband. Drinks and food were great. The service was outstanding. It’s a little bit of a tight squeeze at and between some of the tables, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you are a larger person or slightly claustrophobic, you might mention that when making your reservation so they can seat you accordingly. Will definitely be back!
New menu and all season outdoor space were spot on. Always a pleasure to dine there.
Food was great , service was great . Great place for a special dinner
New Years Eve but it was 4:30! Made the reservation online but they did not tell us the menu was set! The waitress could not answer most questions about the menu. It was just Ok for the price.
Great experience
It was a crowded night and we were seated in a very private quiet section of the restaurant. The food was great, the service was efficient and we stayed till close.
We went for a family Christmas dinner.
