Overall, the experience was “meh-diocre”. Let me give you the down low of our Sunday afternoon high tea experience. Starting off with the server. Our server, who we didn’t get her name but we chatted and learned was Thai, was top notch. She was attentive, checked in a lot, and delivered excellent front of house service. I really wish we remembered her name so we could give her a proper review - she truly was the best part of the whole experience. Next is the ambience! The restaurant was not busy - there was double the empty chairs than occupied chairs. As a result, it was quiet and our group of 7 could have a conversation very easily. In addition, we got the booth where all the flowers were and were the best seats in the house! Food! It was mostly “assembled” or “purchased” rather than created in house. Sandwiches were delicious but not memorable. The pastries were purchased. Although, special commendation for the Lady M-cakes purchased from New York! These multi-layer crepe based cakes were delicious! The teas were unique but the flavour was too light - I suspect it was because the pots were larger than usual (apparently, they ran out of small pots… but it wasn’t busy?) What ruined the experience for us was the wait time. I got a call about 1 hour before our reservation to confirm we’re having high tea - this got me excited thinking everything will be ready when we arrive. Unfortunately, we waited almost 1.5 hrs for our, as noted above, mostly purchased and assembled meal. I don’t believe it takes 2 hours to assemble a sandwich - sorry. Overall, we rated it a 3. Will we return? We’ll keep an eye on the reviews if we see it improving.

Good music, good ambience but the staff are rude. They give dirty looks and are very judgemental that you can feel their energy isn’t welcoming.

I was disappointed to find that the afternoon tea set menu had been changed without any prior notice. The green tea scone was replaced by a mini burger bun with cream cheese, and the lobster toast was substituted with deep-fried fish toast. When we addressed this with the only staff member present, he informed us that the menu had indeed been changed but stated that he was just the bartender. This experience fell far short of expectations, and I cannot recommend this establishment based on this visit.
