The 1850 House Inn & Tavern is open Wednesday-Sunday at 4 pm. We have 3 indoor dining areas and outdoor dining overlooking the Rondout Creek.

Chef Kyle returns this season with his almost famous risotto and crispy brussels served with a balsamic reduction. Of course there is an 1850 House Burger served with hand cut fries. And just know that our fish and chips are made with fresh caught cod battered to order with a house made beer batter. We have Happy Hour Wednesday - Sunday from 4:00-6:00pm. Weekly Dinner Specials and Live Music Saturdays from 7:00-10:00pm.

I cannot think of one negative about this wonderful restaurant and inn. Easy to park. Lovely restaurant . Try to sit out on the deck in good weather. Great drinks. Excellent servers. Wonderful food especially for fussy eaters....great choices vegan and vegetarian choices. Reasonable prices.

We sat at a table in the quaint tavern and started with a roasted kale and butternut squash salad with blue cheese, walnuts and pomegranate seeds which was delicious and some Parmesan and truffle oil frites that were completely addicting! Don't put anything on them - they're perfect as is! My husband had the Moqueca which was like a Brazilian seafood soup that had mussels, salmon and white fish which he enjoyed with the chipotle Cholula that added a nice tang to the dish. I had the butternut squash and kale risotto which was rich, creamy and luscious with chunks of squash, plenty of kale and topped off with melted Parmesan cheese. The Rare Vos on tap was a special treat and went well with both of our dishes! Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

Love the little private room for a party of 8-10.. The food was perfect and it was very relaxed and nice.
