   The ambiance of dining outside overlooking the gold course can not be overstated. Lovely!! The food was very good, overall I enjoyed dining at the 1850 house.

   When we arrived, no one was at the door. They were unaware of our reservation and we had to wait and help out for a table to be cleaned and joined. The hostess didn't bring adult menus with her but rather had to return to the stand to get them. When she brought us the drinks, it was two at a time, very inefficient. The food took so long, and it was all mediocre. Over medium eggs were crispy. Eggs Benedict were runny with not enough hollandaise sauce. Hash browns were patties, like McDonald's. Catch of the Day was a bland disappointment. The coffee we ordered never arrived. The only good dish was the chicken tenders and we had to ask twice for a box to go. And my daughter had to tell them about all the flys inside. I've been here before and the lamb was worth repeating, it set me up to expect an amazing brunch but was really disappointed. I know it's hard to find good staff but push for consistency as consistency is what makes the standard.

   1850 has been through many changes over the past several years, and this is the best change ever. The food is tasty, service is friendly and prompt, the drinks are well made (no skimping on alcohol) and the view from the patio is lovely. 1850 has new owners, chef, help, and shows what a fine restaurant should be. Prices are a little high, but the quality is worth it.

   The food was cold someone forgot to put the sterno cans under the trays,was very disappointed for the $146. I spent. And everytime I went to get a piece of prime rib it was gone. Will not be returning.
