Family and friends went for a Boxing Day feed. The staff were really attentive, helpful and on the case. The food was not wasn’t great. I had a pea risotto for £16 - at that price for rice and peas I was expecting something yummy - it wasn’t. Everyone’s food ok. The wine was good. At the same time they had opened on Boxing Day and we didn’t have to cook or clean dishes so a kind of win

Great local pub restaurant - wonderful ambience and good food. BUT food was served on cold plates which meant the meal was cold within minutes of arriving. Shame, as this is something we have complained about in the past and is so easy to rectify.

I booked this place to take my parents for Sunday lunch, on the basis of the reviews on-line. I wasn't disappointed, the service was excellent, from being greeted by the friendly staff as we walked in, to the attention we received throughout the meal which was very good without being over the top. As for the pub, it was extremely comfortable with tables spaced well and was just busy enough without being frantic. There are lots of windows so the place has a very bright feel. The décor and style was pleasing and well maintained. The food was very good and would recommend the roast. I will come back again and would highly recommend.

A regular at this pub. Fantastic bar staff who are always excellent. Food quality (which has always been fantastic) has gone down v badly recently. We waited over an hour in for partly cooked salmon, cold veg and a passable shepherd's pie. The bar staff were apologetic and refunded us. This is the second time. Will not be returning for food till this is sorted.

Great Sunday Roast after our reservation at another place was not honored because they were closed and didn’t tell us. Great roast had the lamb and beef, tons of food and great flavors. Definitely will go again when I’m in for a visit.

Staff were very friendly, happy, and very helpful, the food was 1st class, and we had good evening. the only disappointed that although I had booked a table when we got there was not table booked and we had find one our selves. AlfR

Nice pub serving good quality food. Varied menu and choices but we just felt they were very understaffed and this meant that the waiter/waitress were both running around trying to deal with all the tables. I must say however that the anchovy and chipolata starters in our opinion very over priced for a few tinned fillets and one slice of bread and a few cocktail sausages. However, generally a nice atmosphere and decent wine list as well. The cheese board was excellent and we enjoyed it with a nice glass of port. would recommend.
