   I hope this was an off day for this restaurant. We made a reservation through Open Table, but the hostess seemed to not have looked there to note it on their reservation sheet along with a large party before us that booked with OT, as well. Once we were seated, no one ever came to serve our table besides a menu. I think we were seated before the staff was able to handle more customers. I wish this establishment well. The food coming out to the table next to us looked so delicious.

   This was our 2nd visit. We were so happy with our 1st experience that we returned the following week (in anticipation of their grand opening). We understand that the staff needs some practice but we expect to have the same service as our initial visit at the very least. Please instruct your servers to write orders down. It's not a good look when they have to return to confirm what you asked for. Secondly, we ordered the same bottle of wine on both visits only to find it was more expensive on the 2nd visit. I ordered the crab cakes as my entree both visits and received 2 on my first and 1 on my 2nd - consistency is key. When you order fries for a toddler they should be served before all the adult entrees - not last. Why do you continue to postpone your grand opening with live jazz - everything is indoors! Last but not least when you offer to comp us a beer and a glass of pinot grigio for all the mistakes, please don't return with a riesling. We didn't have the heart to complain about the incorrect comp so we left. We were so excited to have a new restaurant in Katy but cannot in good conscience return...Signed, Sad and Disappointed

   What a great new find. We met friends for dinner after Good Friday services and wanted something local and tasty. One of our friends said they learned of a new restaurant in Katy that was run by a great new chef -- Tha Roux Seafood. The restaurant had plenty of space for social distancing and an interesting, Cajun-inspired menu while also being a little different from everyone else. The waitress did a great job and was very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure why the bar wasn't open; they may still be in the process of getting their license or maybe it was a staffing issue. Guests are allowed to BYOB.
