The Caesar salad was swimming in dressing making the romaine soggy and inedible. The waitstaff offered to bring us another, but we were too far into our dinner to eat much else.
Way overpriced, noisy, and they won’t let you take your leftovers home. I can understand that they don’t want people taking more than they can eat to take it home, but a half eaten salad?! Ridiculous! Why bring out hot side dishes before the salad? They were cold by the time the meats arrived. Horrid au gratin potatoes: just sliced potatoes with a thin cheese sauce poured over them. Our first and last visit.
A good variety of meat and a large salad bar. Great for both meat and veggies lovers.
The service was pretty good.
Initially the meat brought to our table was medium well to well done.
When we asked for medium rare beef, we were told that it was a bit late in the evening and that’s why the meat was over cooked.
Our reservation was for 6:45pm and they didn’t close until 8:30pm.
Plenty of time to prepare what we asked for.
The meat cutters did start bringing more rare to medium rare beef eventually.
Not impressed with our server though.
He offered excuses without solutions.
I loved it two years ago, but a few pieces of meat tasted as though they were going bad and the service was quite poor. I am assuming this is the case because of the covid policies but if that is true then something needs to give.
I would not recommend this restaurant. We had a 6pm reservations and was not seated until 6:30pm and this was because I asked on the hold up. The digital menus did not work. We had the all you can eat since nothing else was available and I never got any medium well as asked for and offered. The drinks took a good half hour to get them. I would never try this restaurant again nor recommend it. Very POOR especially for the price. Bummer for my husbands birthday...not sure why they ask if your celebrating something....they never acknowledged it.
Texas de Brazil was amazing as always.... We love taking the kids here, as they get their monies worth.
Both times they brought filet around it was over cooked.
The service is always great was Justin just great he took good care of us.👍
All of the meats were extremely overcooked. They asked the doness we preferred but our answer was obviously disregarded.
Very good quality food if you don’t mind waiting (extra 45 minutes even though we had a reservation) and the tables weren’t all properly distanced (6ft)
We sat there for awhile without having drink refills and a lot of the steaks were over cooked and very chewy. Wasn’t happy at all
My grandson and I had an amazing meal for his 15th birthday, thank you to our server Gino for being awesome.
Great experience celebrating my 31st birthday with Family. Host was helpful and Waiter was very accommodating. Will be back soon
The food was okay. The meat servers were kind. It was very cold inside.
Everyone was very welcoming, and the food was delicious!
My wife and I went out to eat for her Birthday. We had a great time!
Expected some hurdles due to Covid rules. The restaurant did very good in getting compliant with state rules. Salad bar area is off limits, you put an order in for what you want. The timing was 18 minutes once order for salad bar was placed. Almost how long it took to get drinks. We chose to go "green" and eat meats while waiting. Beef was all good, porks were dry, chicken was right on. Server seemed just not into it, not attentive to our drinks during the meal. We went on $22 off for 2 advertised special. 1 drink each with discount applied = $104 + tip for 2 people.
This restaurant is extremely expensive for the style of meal you get. I guess if someone can eat till they explode it would be a good deal but I can’t eat that much to make $49.99 a person seem like a good dining experience. Overall the food and service was great, just not worth the money.
Texas de Brazil is my favorite dine in restaurant. If you've not been to the restaurant but would like to try it, here are some tips. 1) Visit the web page to see what types of meats are offered. Currently, the lamb chops aren't included in the price of dinner, but there's still a great selection of meats 2) Don't wait to see what's coming out of the kitchen. When seated, request your favorite meats. I would recommend flank steak, leg of lamb, and garlic sirloin to start. 3) Don't be bashful about requesting additional pieces of meat while being served. 4) Sign up on the TDB mailing list. You will be notified of upcoming specials. Normal price of a dinner is $45 a person. Dine in using one of the specials available. Same great meal and service without the sticker shock. 5) Lastly, tip generously. I've been dining at TDB at Crocker Park since it opened. The staff has changed over the years, but the service remains at the top of their game.
We had a reservation for 7:30, and I was not aware they were closing at 8:30. At our initial check in, we were asked if we were visiting for a special occasion, I told the hostess it was my boyfriend's birthday dinner, she marked it down on a paper and then we were seated. Our server gathered our items for us from the salad bad (thanks covid) and everything was just fine from that, in fact I would say it was my favorite part of dinner. Then our server kept pushing us to flip our cards over for the meat to start coming. We barely started eating our salad bar items at this point. I think he came over 4 times before just telling us that he was gonna send the meat over. We are not slow eaters, so it's not like we were moving like sloths here. Some of the meat was really good, some were really really dry like the pork. When our meal was done, we noticed some tables around us were given bags with a birthday dessert and were wished a happy birthday and sent on their way, so we were just waiting for my boyfriend's...and that did not happen... which is not a HUGE deal and is not the reason we came out to dinner, but it was the icing on the cake. I have been here before and had a much better experience, but for a $100 dinner for two people, we just expected so much more.
The meal was great. Service was a bit slow but not terrible.
Food good, but sometimes the delay to bring more meat is long
Service was quite poor. Had a reservation for 8- they brought the wrong drinks, didn’t provide plates until we asked (after several rounds of meat had already come around), didn’t refill the drinks until after we had to ask, and then charged us fo 9 dinners. I politely had to ask to have the bill corrected. Very poor service indeed. When I make a reservation for 8, and expect to drop $1k on the bill- I definitely expect better.
We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes between every serving of meat. We were not full by the time we left (two hours later). For the money, it’s not a place I will visit again.
None of us have been there and our server rushed us through everything and didn’t explain it well . We told them well done meat and they disregarded our request several times .
A-mazing. We will be looking for other locations to build Our Next Vacation around :)
The quality of the meat has certainly gone down hill. Hadn't been there in over a year and it was not the same. Would not recommend.
Due to CoVid, you are not able to access the salad bar, but they take your order and have a server prepare your salad plate. The helpings were very generous. I'm not sure if they will refill a salad order, but what we got was plenty! The choices of meat were excellent and we were never sitting waiting for the next selection. Only had one that I wasn't a big fan of, but the rest were wonderful.
The food and drink was amazing...
A good place to try out...
Date night.. Anniversary...birthday...
Meat eaters a must to try this restaurant out...
Service was awesome
I have been to this location before and as usual, the food and experience were wonderful. This was my first time there since COVID and I was impressed with the safety protocols and how they still provided the salad by having you fill out a slip. Not exactly the same as usual, but a great way to adjust. I always enjoy my meals here!
What an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the servers were so friendly and helpful.
Just a recap of business with a colleague, but being a VIP member helped make it more enjoyable and less costly.
Overall good experience. I was not pleased regarding the lamb chops now being an additional item.
Took my husband there for his 25th and we had a great time! Overall, our experience was great and we will definitely be back!!
While we understand these are the times of change because of covid, I feel like they could have done better. They make our salads, that is fine but mine was drenched in dressing , I couldn't eat it. Our server was less than attentive, our water wasn't refilled until we asked. Servers with meats walked right past our table several times going to tables with larger parties. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and they offered a free dessert. The server told is what our choices were and then said he could box it for us to go. Didn't even ask if we wanted to have coffee and dessert at our table. Very disappointed
It was amazing I will be going back we loved everything about this location
All food had little to no flavoring. Very bland and overcooked meat. Waiter was very pushy and inconsiderate. Furious that we paid such a steep price for such a poor experience
As usual, wonderful food with excellent service. If you on the fence about eating out, I would recommend Texas de Brazil for your first dining out experience. Be sure to make a reservation.
An awesome restaurant, where you don’t have to pick what protein to enjoy for dinner. Here, 16 different meats are brought to you and carved while you watch. Pick and chose, or try them all. Then wait till your favorites come back again, and have some more. If you walk away from this restaurant hungry, there is something wrong with you. My favorite place to eat!
