Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.

Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third-floor space is a cosy lounge once home to The Arts and Letters Club where Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909.

    Food was outstanding as always. Service on point. The lower level seating is cramped and loud. This is the Adelaide location.

    TERRIBLE SERVICE! Food came out super quick but service was a fail from start to finish. The first waiter serving our table never brought the bread that we asked for, brought us the wrong drinks and then disappeared. Then another waitress came by and we asked her for another set of drinks and she forgot about them. I asked for the bill when we ordered desert and the waiter never brought it. While I was still finishing my meal, the waitress grabbed my plate, I told her I was still working on my meal and my fork fell into my plate when she grabbed it. She ignored it and kinda left it to me to figure out how I was going to eat with a dirty fork, now covered in pasta sauce. No one checked on us once throughout our meal so we couldn’t even order more drinks. I’ve been to other locations and service was way better. I’m not coming back to this location again!

    It was my friends bday and we had a cake for her. But we could not have it bc they changed the policy and there was no indication on the website. My friend gnocchi was burnt. It was very loud in the restaurant it was hard to hear our conversation.

    The service was absolutely excellent. The food was pretty good but unsurprising. Could use more flavor in the salad dressing - not maple. :)
