Our server was great!
Pastas were amazing.
Meal was amazing, and our server was OUTSTANDING -- she really made the experience perfect with her great recommendations and cheerful personality.
Only very minor negative was that we were so very close to the fire place (about 1 foot away) -- those of us with our backs to the fire were very very warm.
Overall, 99% perfect!
Always so nice to be at Terroni!! I simply love it!!
I like the dining environment and overall the food is great, it's jus the waiter who served us was a bit rush and have some attitude. other than that we were having a good time.
One dinner not received and the 3 that got theirs were cold. Probably short staffed like most restaurants. The Waiter was great but I think overwhelmed. We will definitely go again just for the atmosphere and quality of food. To be fair we were not charged for the desserts and a nice jar of hot peppers!
We LOVED our server, but Adelaide is my last choice for Terroni locations, due to the ambiance. You really are sitting elbow to elbow with other parties. I understand that they want to serve as many people as possible, but when I can hear every word of the tables around me, it’s not enjoyable. We were also told at the door “your table is booked in 1.5 hours so you’ll need to be out by then”, which again just made us feel pretty uncomfortable. I know that reservations are probably so busy right now with everyone trying to get out to restaurants, but I am sad that the experience at Terroni is suffering. I would rather visit another location, but this one was convenient.
Top service, personal, professional and food of highest quality. Top that with an amazing Red wine that surpassed my expectations.
I have been coming for Terroni since it had one little location on Queen West. My husband and two kids (18 and 20) had never been. They all loved it as I told them they would. We had two salads, pasta for 3 of us and my husband had the branzino fish. We also split a Puzza. All very tasty. Everyone was happy. Including me and I paid for everything. The place is beautiful. Lovely old building. The staff were all extremely nice. Right from the front desk.
Great experience, not cheap but worthwhile!
Long wait to even get to hostess; then they tell us we have to return the table by a certain time for the next reservation? Meanwhile they seated us late for our reservation; service was slow, so not sure why it would be our problem to turnover the table in time for them - actually it was on my mind the whole time and felt rushed; chairs were dirty; food was nothing special; tables very close together and way too many people.
The food was good but where we were seated was awful, we asked if we can be seated somewhere else and it was a no because they have a wedding upstairs, we got a two seat table, couldn’t order more food because table was so small and the basement was packed, at one point we were just right beside our next table and the server was walking in between our tables and when he had to talk to the other table, his butt was literally facing us and our food, we noticed there was another table nearby that is for four people but they didn’t want to give it to us but from when we started til we left, that four seat table was never occupied, To me that’s just poor seat planning. Also, they need to train their host and security for customer service training, no greeting, impolite. Other than that our server was nice and food was good.
One pasta dish, seafood spaghetti was inedible, the other pasta dish, fettuccine had zero flavour and was about three bites in size and cold. The Brazino was so small my petite daughter was still hungry after eating. The lattes we had after dinner were also perhaps room temperature at best. The only good dish was a pizza.
We had a large group. They were very accommodations about splitting bills and the food and service were excellent.
I can never complain about the food or service, however I warn anyone who is looking to spend sometime just talking over a beautiful bottle of wine to reconsider coming here on the weekend. Celebrating our 24th anniversary was staring at the clock and rushing our food and told that we can squeeze in a desert before having to leave because our time is up. I’m understanding of the fact that other reservations must be met, but experiencing it something I do not wish to go through again.
Came here on a date from good reviews and it did not disappoint! Both the pizza and pasta we ordered were delicious!! Only felt like the seating was too crowded being wedged between two other tables. It felt uncomfortable in terms of personal space due to social distancing not being practiced, our personal belongings were touching our neighbouring tables’, and it was so loud we could not hear each other. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Went to treat myself to dinner. Fast service & great food.
Alana was an amazing server!! Food was great as always
Just ok. Nothing special. Arugula salad was terrible. All other food just good. Very loud won’t go again
Used good COVID protocol so felt safe
Wine very expensive and no house wine offered
The Bass was plain and small
Pasta was boring
For a fairly expensive restaurant the food was cold and very undercooked, and the service was very slow.
30 mins waiting for our table, a further 20 mins to have drinks order taken and then another 20 or so to receive drinks. Mains arrived about 90 mins after actual reservation time.
Staff were very friendly of course, just seemed very understaffed and overworked.
Food was good, place itself was a gorgeous venue!
Great food and the server was awesome. We mentioned we had a time limit and got us out in plenty of time.
My overall experience was good. Two pieces of feedback:
1. The chair at the top floor was not very comfortable as they didnt have much back support while eating.
2. Music could be toned down a bit
Great as always
only cons is the noise in the main room
Great place for some pasta! Excellent taste. Portions were moderate but that should be expected.
Ravioli came cold to the table.
We ordered two glasses of wine, and after a long time they only came with one. We had to order a second one…
We like the place and the food. Please do better next time!
We’re not impressed with the food. Found it bland and rather boring. Also everything came out so quickly that it felt rushed.
Wait staff and food/drink were great. Music pretty loud and would be nice to make sure we get our checks on time as we were waiting a while. Otherwise, a lovely meal with beautiful ambiance. Always a solid choice for large groups.
I had the pappardelle with sausage. The noodles were great but way too much sausage. The bread is under whelming and would taste better if balsamic vinegar was added to olive oil.
My husband and I met some friends for dinner here and loved the food. The only concern I have is the portion size for pasta.
We did order a salad and pizza as a starter so at least that helped however, if we only ordered the pasta, we would have left hungry.
Other than that, delicious
Food, atmosphere and vibe is always consistent and enjoyable!
Love the food!! I have to say though initially my reservation was at 6pm and the hostess is very accommodating and let me moved my reservation without any issues. Overall I’m definitely going to come back again, few years ago I was here for my birthday and I was not disappoint then and still impressed with the excellent service tonight. Our server was very nice and attentive! Thank you!
Waitress was inexperienced about the wines, didn’t check on the table, and then rudely asked for more tip at the end of the meal.
Service was lovely and the food was magnificent. Will be returning in the near future.
We hadn’t been to Terroni Adelaide for several years and were quite disappointed by the quality of the food. Pizza and cocktails was great but we were quite disappointed and surprised by the quality of the pasta and appetizers. The food is expensive so I expect the quality to be great. I’m not sure I’d go back to Terroni Adelaide.
The vaccine protocols don’t take into account international travellers and that first encounter ruined the entire night to the point they were either unwilling to accept all vaccine passports can’t and won’t look like Ontario’s.
Pro tip: Make a note in your reservation request to not go downstairs. Unfortunately management overbooked the restaurant and left their service team to work it out *insert eye roll* but the basement is a pseudo section from the fiery pits of hell. It’s uncomfortably hot, damp from being meters away from the dish room and smells just as you’d expect. Be patient with the service team and wait for a table on the ground floor (or upstairs if available).
FYI: the restaurant in general is always warm so dress accordingly!
Great ambiance!! Great food!! Definitely a place to eat if not yet tried. Every dish you choose is amazing!! A must try restaurant!!
The cons: Had an 8pm reservation for 2, the hostess rudely told us as we sat down that we had to be gone from our table by 9:15 because they had another reservation. I understand needing to turn tables, but the way she said it made us feel rushed and unwelcome. The tables were very crammed together and it felt a little bit like a busy cafeteria- very loud music and a lot of people crammed into the space.
The pros; The food was very good, the server was excellent.
I would say this place would be good for something like a staff party or a big group of friends, but it’s not a great choice if you are looking for a more intimate or warm setting.
It was my birthday dinner for 8. Our server was very attentive, gave good wine recommendation, and very pleasant. He was fantastic but I didn’t get his name 😞
