Waited almost half an hour past our reservation time for a table. Host was confused and ineffective. Was told they are very short staffed.
Food was cold when it arrived.
Overall, not a great experience. Prior to covid this was a good restaurant, not anymore.
servers were too busy that they ignored you. food was good
Resos at 8. Got seated closer to 8:20. Was extremely busy and sat at the outside back patio. Our server looked super swamped which is to not fault of theirs but there was a little wait. Despite that he was energetic and attentive to our table and just overall had good energy. Tried the tagliatelle bolognese and the pappardelle iosa and the calamari. All were wonderful but next time I’m def ordering the iosa. Cute casual girls night out vibes would come again for sure just at a less busy time
Terroni is absolutely one of my favourite restaurants in the city. I’ve been lucky enough to go 4 times since restrictions eased a few months ago! My only complaint is now even with indoor dining being told we have an hour and a half. Not necessary and doesn’t start us off feeling very welcome. I brought this up asking if they will keep saying this and very quickly the host had an answer that everyone wants to eat there. Just didn’t feel right.
Food arrived cold
We arrived for our reservation on time and were told that they were running behind schedule and we would have to wait 20 minutes outside before being seated.
The pasta was prepared molto el dente without even giving us the option of having it cooked to our preference. If that's the only way it's served at this restaurant, it would have been nice if the server mentioned it when we were ordering, as I'm sure all the guests in our party would have just stuck to the pizzas.
The service was slow. Our appetizers were dropped off to the table and we had to ask for plates, which took another 15 minutes to get.
The pizza comes as a whole, without scissors to cut it with, and it was tough to cut into the hard crust with just the cutlery.
Service was horrible. Had a reservation and had to wait thirty minutes for a table and then another thirty minutes until we actually got served
All five pasta entrées our party ordered was undercooked and hard, not appetizing at all. The drink menu stated the Niasca beverage is 355mL when the bottle itself says it was only 250mL. The calamari appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the entrées took an extremely long time to come out and this was not even at peak dinner time. Everything was pretty mediocre at best, with the pizzas being better than the pasta, but still nothing to warrant a visit. Choose the many other Italian restaurants in the area to get your fix.
We were there for a friends birthday. The food came quick but it wasn’t cooked well. Pasta was largely undercooked for multiple people. Cocktails were average but at 15$ a pop, more was expected. For the price we paid, we could have enjoyed many other places in the city.
Great food as always!
The dining room on the main floor was soooo dark. Waitress couldn’t care less.
Great Italian spot with an excellent wine selection. Good pasta and pizza choices. A wonderful dinner spot. The patio is also fantastic.
The food was so mediocre
We had food delivered incorrectly 2 times
There was a centipede that crawled on our table
Pasta portion was super tiny
Amazing food and better service!
Écart de table très important (pas l’habitude en France) et service au petit soin. Le plat a été servi rapidement et c’était très bon. Je recommande !
It was a little tough getting in even though we had a reservation we had to wait in line. Covid restrictions make it a little difficult, just have some patience. Totally worth any wait tho! Good and atmosphere is fantastic. Burrata is my favourite!
Great food. Good value for the price. Great service.
The food was as expected. Service however wasn’t what we thought it was going to be. 2 of the 3 mains we ordered came first, then we had to wait almost 5-10 minutes for the third one, and the food was getting cold as we waited. We weren’t told that our server was going to be done and a new one took over. We also weren’t told of the last call, so when we thought we could order food to-go, it was too late. Also felt like our second server was a bit condescending, regarding last call said “we’re not a late-night restaurant” in a way that rubbed us off the wrong way. Overall, not what we expected from Terroni.
Great service. The food was delicious with a large selection. The dessert is amazing
Patio was almost empty and person seating us next to garage area which was noisy. Waiter very nice
All was good! Pretty outdoor decor and great service! Spaghetti Limon and Lamb ragout both excellent!
The food was excellent and the service/ambience was amazing. Such a nice restaurant to have a date at.
Great restaurant and menu. However our whole table (8 people) thought all their dishes were a bit too salty. Too bad because it was a great menu, but everything came out very salty. Would go back to see if it was better though because the patio was great and service was great.
Took an NBA player out to lunch here. He asked for a side of tomato sauce for his fried calamari and was told by the waiter no thats now how its done here.
Extremely poor service for such a small and reasonable request.
Never fails. We celebrate my partners birthday here every year. It's tradition.
Food was excellent, no doubt about it. All four of us loved our appetizers and mains. Drinks were good also. Unfortunately the service was a little lacking. Took forever to place a drink order and a manager came by to take our drink orders. Then a while to order food and wine. Food arrived and wine still wasn't served. Just seemed like they were overwhelmed and short staffed. Food was excellent though.
Fantastic food and a great vibe. Great music too.
We were here celebrating a birthday. The food was good, with good size portions as to not fill you to stuffed. I had the ravioli stuffed with duck that was very good. My daughter had the sausage and spaghetti dish. The noodles
We’re done spot on. The environment was very loud which in the times of COVID isn’t the best as louder talking projects more COVID germs
All in all a lovely night.
Very poor experience here, but the food was really good! Actually loved all the food ordered pizza, Pastas, and apps.
I am giving such a poor rating due to our service. our server took 10 minutes to greet us and give us the menu. We were told there is a 1.5 hour sitting time which we were ok about but it ended up ruining the mood with our server being MIA.
We had very minimal interaction with her. She was never anywhere to be found, we wanted to give our order all at once to reduce any extra wait. She didn't introduce herself but her name was Sophie ( the receipt told us). She didn't tell us anything about the menu, which when we needed another minute she took almost another 10 minutes to get back to us to take our order. when we asked for a extra order of bread she completely forgot (i know it happens) but she never came to check up on us or anything. Literally saw her 4 times of the whole 1.5 hours. We had to as the bussers as again she was no where to be found. They were great and working hard we noticed.
We did notice the lack of service with most the tables around us. You might read this and think whats the big deal but it truly ruined the whole experience. At the end to pay our bill we normally tip 15% if not more as me and my partner both worked in the restaurant industry even it if wasn't up to par in some way but this was just really disappointing considering the name and how big the company is you thing you would have at least some decent service. We were truly bothered by this so our tip actually reflected her service. She ended up being very unprofessional, I told her I didn't need a receipt and she looked at her tip and then whipped/threw the receipt on the table and stormed off like a little kid. Very poor service and that was her job.
The fact that it wasn't just me but my partner noticed this really shows.
Great food, utterly poor service. Dont dine in just do take out.
I absolutely love coming here for dinner! It’s my go-to spot for authentic Italian cuisine. Grazie mille Terroni!
Our server basically rushed us out of the building. There’s a difference between quick service and just complete ignorance. He was not friendly whatsoever and couldn’t get us out quick enough. Other than that the food was delicious and a beautiful building.
Got here early was asked if want to sit inside or outside. Was seated at booth near kitchen. The paper menu is for drinks only and you have to scan a QR code to get the food menu. It took us 15 minutes to scan because it was dark inside and the print quality of the code was not good. Asked to use the washroom and it is down a flight of stairs and the faucet for hot and cold water is hand operated and so is the towel dispenser. That means they made no change for COVID. Saw one kitchen staff constantly with no mask on. The food itself was decent especially the raviolis. The tiramisu dessert is nothing special either.
Fantastic service by Joey and food. Portions were large.
Food was decent, service was excellent! Server suggested couple wine options - and this was a business deal. So it went pretty well! I would recommend the place!
Made a reservation but then they said we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table inside. It was cold so we didnt want the patio but had to take it anyways. No point of making a reservation for this restaurant if they have to make you wait so long. The pasta was so undercooked & hard. The setting was very nice though
The room that we were in was very dark and there was a very nice ambiance - the cacio e pepe was phenomenal and the margarita pizza did not disappoint!
Went for dinner and really enjoyed it. They were short-staffed but they told us right off the bat. There was a 10-15 min delay till we got our table, but the service was relatively quick after that. We skipped the appetizers and went straight to the mains, the seafood pasta and the sea bass with arugula salad. The pasta was fantastic as always, but the seabass was a little disappointing considering the price. The fish was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and the skin was a bit overly crispy but otherwise okay. The highlight of the dinner was dessert. You cannot go wrong with the flourless chocolate cake. Might be one of the best desserts I've had in Toronto. If you're a chocolate lover, you have to have it. Lastly, regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant is beautiful but the music just does not match the ambience and is a bit too loud. Overall 4/5. Was tempted to go 4.5/5 if only for dessert!
Cozy environment for casual dining experience in downtown.
