Food was good very interesting flavor profiles. Service was fine, lighting kept going up and down a bit odd. Would try again.
This is my second and last, slow service, cold soup, cold potatoes, slooowwwww service.
Excellent service. Food was excellent. My guest loved everything about the place.
Having tried Terrane several times now, each time has had the same outcome. Service problems (confusion, late delivery, lack of follow up, awkwardness). The food was just ok. I really wanted to love each thing I ordered but nothing really was all that. And the noise level-off the charts loud, like concert loud. The wait staff could barely hear the orders. While I like the wider tables, with the noise level and increased distance across the table, any conversation was rather trying. Probably won't go back or recommend.
Not as good as the first time we came here. Took a long time to get entrees.
Solid downtown choice and great location/ambiance. By Portland food standards, this is a solid B - creative, good food. However, nothing makes you raise your eyebrows and hum because its SO YUMMY! Still, the service is sensational, the setting and ambiance are awesome, the wine list is very strong, and the food is good.
We will definitely come again, but would also suggest the chef focus more on food that tastes fantastic, than the trendiness.
This place is beautiful. It was a bit pricey $60 for a rather large steak. But our meal was fantastic. All three of us lived it. We had pasta Nehru I had lamb and also the cod. All wonderful and perfect temperature. Service was so-so. Expected better for the prices but it was fine. Desert was ok But we only tried one All in all a good restaurant nice wine selection but this is Portland Oregon the competition is steep better service I may have given a 5. Having said that the service was fine for a lesser restaurant. Waiter walked away when I was asking to order an appetizer. But then when he came back he was spot on.
The food and service here was excellent! Great location for downtown Portland. Nice venue and very friendly staff! We will be back for sure!
Waitress was chewing gum during the entire service. The chefs were loud and talking poorly about the food
The Terrane Italian Kitchen and Bar has a dark wood and tile ambiance, lending calm and quiet. The tables are comfortable and the menu has unusual dishes, including the porchetta with pork belly, oriechetti with sausage and fennel, and the roasted beet salad, served over a pumpkin-seed puree. All were delicious and reasonably priced. We would certainly go there again, perhaps with more people so we could adventure with more of the menu!
Tara was amazingly tentative but not invasive- a perfect evening for four
Food was just ok however the service was excellent.
Fantastic price fixe chef's menu for NYE. The food was delicious and interesting. We'll definitely be back.
I am so glad we chose to eat here! the service was impeccable and the food was fabulous! The warm ricotta appetizer was so delicious as were the mussels and bruschetta. The caesar salad made with kale was a real
highlight and the dressing, omg soooo good! I had lamb,my husband had crabmeat pasta and daughter had pasta with a meat ragu---all were outstanding. The decor is lovely as well and it's well lit but not overly so. Dessert was wonderful as well and we can't wait to go back!
The restaurant was festive and beautiful for a Christmas dinner and the service was good. The food however, was just okay. We had the 4-course dinner. The warm courses all came out cold and the pasta dishes were just okay. Disappointing for an Italian restaurant. It wasn’t that busy, so I’m not sure what happened?
Food was absolutely incredible. We were really early for our reservation but they sat us immediately. The table they reserved for us was probably the best spot in the whole restaurant (corner window table)
The service was wonderful. We were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter. He was very helpful with food suggestions and very accommodating. The food was excellent and enjoyed our desserts. I planned the reservation making sure we would have enough time to order and receive our food before going to The Nutcracker. We received our food and were done with plenty of time to walk to the ballet.
Nothing special and trending to bad experience. Definetely overrated. 30+ minutes to prepare an alfredo pasta, and more entree’s. (And wasn’t even crowded) first and last time there. Plenty of better options at walking distance.
Fabulous food and great location for a meal before seeing a show at the Keller!
We were served incredibly delicious appetizers immediately and then wait over 40 minutes for our main course. The pasta was supposed to have a white wine sauce, but it was heavily diluted by water from the steamed veggies. That meant it had no flavor and was soaked in a pool of gross water. I ordered two of these dishes and both were equally as watery and gross. I would only recommend ordering appetizers.
Nice spot convenient for our client dinner. Food and service were excellent.
Good thanksgiving menu
Really enjoyable meal with great service.
Delicious Italian food and the best Mussels I have ever had.
Our server was not welcoming or attentive. The pasta was undercooked and crunchy. Had to send one dish back and our server was snarky about the request. In my reservation I specifically asked for a table away from the front door as my 93 year old mother was joining us and chills easily. We were sat at a table closest to the door. The whole experience was disappointing. I will be following up with an email to the manager.
We have eaten here a number of times. The food is always delicious and interesting with little unexpected twists. The staff is amazing, and they work to get just the right ambiance that you want for whatever group you have.
Nice setting and addition to the Southwest side of downtown!
This was our first visit. Service was very friendly and professional. My wife had scallops and I had crab. Both were excellent. We also had an order of cauliflower which was very large. It was a little spicy but good. Wine selection was good. Waitress was very pleasant and professional. We shall return.
Nice setting and excellent food. Service was attentive and timely. All bar and restaurant locations are loud even without being fully occupied, so you need to raise your voice in normal conversations, something to consider.
Great value for a fabulous meal.
The meal was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend for business meals and personal events.
Love the cuisine and service. The carrot cake was dry but everything else was perfect
Based on a previous experience, I recommended Terrane to another couple. I booked asking for a quiet table. As we were there early (7:15), there were many tables available. However, we were seated at a table in direct line with the kitchen entry and exit. I could see the mop from my seat. We asked for a different table and it took almost 10 minutes to re-seat us.
We ordered wine and the ricotta appetizer. It arrived with four pieces of bread...there were 4 of us. When we asked for more bread, it took awhile.
We waited almost 45 minutes for our entrees after eating the appetizer. My husband and I ordered the lamb. You would have thought we ordered two different dishes. Mine was over cooked ...almost burnt, and his was done perfectly. The other couple ordered the Orechiette and the short ribs. Both were fine. However, when my sister-in-law asked to box the rest of the meat and the bone for her dog, they agreed, took it away and lost it. All in all a very disappointing evening
Excellent service and good food. What more could you ask
The pasta for us 3 girls was heavenly. Most amazing flavors and unusual, unique ingredients. We all shared a cheese and salami board to start- total soul food.
You can tell the Chef’s here really care about the food they prepare. Authentic cuisine in a wonderful ambience. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
The food, cocktails and ambiance were exquisite. We shared multiple small plates. The server brought us something for dinner we had seen in the restaurant's photos, but was usually only served for breakfast. There was no happy hour, but there is a bar menu, if you eat in the bar.
The creativity of the menu and complex flavors were outstanding! Kudos to the chef and our server who was familiar with all of the dishes and could describe in detail.
My business partner and I had brunch yesterday . Service was great and the food just echoed that. We will definitely make it a regular spot, maybe for dinner next time.
