Disappointed in the service. Cauliflower wasn't ordered. No drinks offered. Scallops were overcooked. Super disappointed.
Service was very slow and impersonal. Server did not know anything about the wine list. Pasta was extremely bland as if they forgot to salt the water. The Caesar salad was super fishy but not in the usual good way, it was as if they used anchovies that had gone bad. This place is far too prissy without the goods to back it up. We won’t return.
The space is large and open and welcoming, the chairs and tables are comfortable. There is high noise level.
The service was good if not a bit out of order. We were served our appetizer before our cocktail and glass of wine arrived.
The menu offerings were appealing but the preparation was lacking. Sword fish was served cool in the middle, i.e. undercooked. The polenta was an unsual preparation that was not particularly tasty.
The budino dessert was not very flavorful. The carrot cake was very interesting with shaved carmelized carrot. It was tasty but I would not recommend it.
This was our first time here. We will likely try it again to give a second chance but we were disappointed by our first experience and not likely to recommend it at this time.
The kitchen was backed up and our meals took a very long time to come out. When they did my meal was completely undercooked. It was a veggie pasta dish and the squash and potatoes were crunchy. Unfortunately due to the delay in getting the meals out we were crunched on time (theater tickets) I didn’t send my meal back. The other dinners were good but not great.
Service was very good and it had a nice setting for an intimate meal.
We've had dinner once before at Terrane and loved every part of the meal. This last time we had dinner was not as good of an experience. The service and atmosphere is wonderful. Our appetizer was so excellent and we were expecting a great dinner experience. However, both our dinners were not as we expected. My sword fish was raw. I would expect a medium cooking temp, but not raw. The other meal was rabbit, which was cooked too much and very dry. We were both disappointed and probably will not return.
Good ambience and wonderful food! Out server, Gabriel, was very attentive and knowledgeable. We are definitely planning on going again!

The service was somewhat chaotic; we ordered with a waiter, then a short while later a second waiter showed up saying he had taken over- but there had been zero handoff for our order, so we had to go through it again
Normally would not have been a big deal, but it just got gradually worse from there- we went long periods without water or a beverage- we flagged down whoever we could to order things, but the communication seemed very poor and delivery was slow

This was our first time dining at Terrane Italian Kitchen. We were headed to a performance so let the person who seated us and our server know that we needed to be out at a certain time. While the wait staff were very friendly and knowledable about the menu, the service was quite slow. The menu is fairly limited, but the dishes we ordered were very tasty. Unfortunately, both of our main course dishes were served to us just luke warm, not hot as they should have been. They must have been sitting for quite a while before they were brought to our table. Since our time was limited and service was so slow, we didn't send them back, but if that where to happen again, I'd certainly send the meal back to the kitchen. We ran out of time to have dessert at the end of our meal, but decided to stop by there after the play for dessert as the restaurant was open until 11:00pm. When we arrived, it was about 10:15 and there were just a few people in the restaurant, but many more in the bar. Again, service was very slow and while the desserts were good, our coffee was not hot, just slightyly warm. Since it was getting close to their closing time, we had dessert, paid the bill and left. I plan to go back sometime in the future and hopefully the service will be better and the food and coffee will be served at the appropriate temperature.
The service was wonderful. The restaurant was warm and comfortable. The food was stellar! The ricotta appetizer was delicious :)
Our server was great. Bruschetta appetizer was delicious. We all thought our main dishes were just so so. I had the ragu, it was fine but nothing spectacular. My mom ordered the shrimp scampi and had them add pasta. She thought the shrimp were tough and the whole dish was somewhat bland. My sister in law had the fish special. The steelhead was fine but it was served over a bland smashed potato- nothing to write home about. Best part was the proximity to the Keller for the show we were seeing. Ambiance is very nice, but they kept turning the lights up and down the entire time we were there which was annoying and distracting. I do t think we’ll go back. There are too many delicious options in PDX for just so-so food.
The orecchiette with fennel sausage was incredible! Will definitely order that again. This was a nice place to have lunch before a show at Keller.
We had a very nice dinner prior to a theater performance. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding!
The food and wine were delicious. Waiter was friendly, but mixed up a few things. The chef did accommodate food/spice sensitivities. Wine list needs update to reflect what they have and serve though.
Excellent service and food. It was noisy because it was crowded pre-show. We shared a side and a salad which is the way to go as both are large.
This is our third time to dine at Terrane. Everything was wonderful from the beginning to end. It has become our “go to” place for before theater dining. Tara has been our server each time we’ve been since 2/19. She always remembers us and makes our meal even more pleasurable.
Had read mixed reviews but decided to give Terrane a try since it is so convenient to the Keller and we had a show to see. Loved Terrane and would go back. The food was really delicious (beet salad, butternut squash risotto, pappardelle) and our server was friendly and prompt and got us out on time for our show.
Based on the food alone this was a 5 star dinner. There were three of us in our group. Two of us had steak and one the fish of the day. Each entree was executed flawlessly.
The reason this isn't a five star review was our first server. I tried to order a Kettle One dirty martini in lowball glass...not up. My server actually argued with me that I didn't know how to order the drink. I asked for another server and the night improved immediately.

Having tried Terrane several times now, each time has had the same outcome. Service problems (confusion, late delivery, lack of follow up, awkwardness). The food was just ok. I really wanted to love each thing I ordered but nothing really was all that. And the noise level-off the charts loud, like concert loud. The wait staff could barely hear the orders. While I like the wider tables, with the noise level and increased distance across the table, any conversation was rather trying. Probably won't go back or recommend.
Not as good as the first time we came here. Took a long time to get entrees.
Solid downtown choice and great location/ambiance. By Portland food standards, this is a solid B - creative, good food. However, nothing makes you raise your eyebrows and hum because its SO YUMMY! Still, the service is sensational, the setting and ambiance are awesome, the wine list is very strong, and the food is good.
We will definitely come again, but would also suggest the chef focus more on food that tastes fantastic, than the trendiness.
This place is beautiful. It was a bit pricey $60 for a rather large steak. But our meal was fantastic. All three of us lived it. We had pasta Nehru I had lamb and also the cod. All wonderful and perfect temperature. Service was so-so. Expected better for the prices but it was fine. Desert was ok But we only tried one All in all a good restaurant nice wine selection but this is Portland Oregon the competition is steep better service I may have given a 5. Having said that the service was fine for a lesser restaurant. Waiter walked away when I was asking to order an appetizer. But then when he came back he was spot on.
The food and service here was excellent! Great location for downtown Portland. Nice venue and very friendly staff! We will be back for sure!
Waitress was chewing gum during the entire service. The chefs were loud and talking poorly about the food
The Terrane Italian Kitchen and Bar has a dark wood and tile ambiance, lending calm and quiet. The tables are comfortable and the menu has unusual dishes, including the porchetta with pork belly, oriechetti with sausage and fennel, and the roasted beet salad, served over a pumpkin-seed puree. All were delicious and reasonably priced. We would certainly go there again, perhaps with more people so we could adventure with more of the menu!

I am so glad we chose to eat here! the service was impeccable and the food was fabulous! The warm ricotta appetizer was so delicious as were the mussels and bruschetta. The caesar salad made with kale was a real
highlight and the dressing,omg soooo good! I had lamb,my husband had crabmeat pasta and daughter had pasta with a meat ragu---all were outstanding. The decor is lovely as well and it's well lit but not overly so. Dessert was wonderful as well and we can't wait to go back!
The restaurant was festive and beautiful for a Christmas dinner and the service was good. The food however, was just okay. We had the 4-course dinner. The warm courses all came out cold and the pasta dishes were just okay. Disappointing for an Italian restaurant. It wasn’t that busy, so I’m not sure what happened?
Food was absolutely incredible. We were really early for our reservation but they sat us immediately. The table they reserved for us was probably the best spot in the whole restaurant (corner window table)
The service was wonderful. We were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter. He was very helpful with food suggestions and very accommodating. The food was excellent and enjoyed our desserts. I planned the reservation making sure we would have enough time to order and receive our food before going to The Nutcracker. We received our food and were done with plenty of time to walk to the ballet.
Nothing special and trending to bad experience. Definetely overrated. 30+ minutes to prepare an alfredo pasta, and more entree’s. (And wasn’t even crowded) first and last time there. Plenty of better options at walking distance.

We were served incredibly delicious appetizers immediately and then wait over 40 minutes for our main course. The pasta was supposed to have a white wine sauce, but it was heavily diluted by water from the steamed veggies. That meant it had no flavor and was soaked in a pool of gross water. I ordered two of these dishes and both were equally as watery and gross. I would only recommend ordering appetizers.
Nice spot convenient for our client dinner. Food and service were excellent.
