The food was great the service was amazing. Loved our server
Terrain never disappoints Their food is always delicious and fresh. Outside dining is the bomb! And service was terrific. I will continue to go for lunch on a regular basis. So happy they opened up their patio dining. Just lovely.
Outstanding service. Great process for cleanliness during COVID. Kid friendly
It was so nice to eat out on the patio! Staff did everything they could to make us comfortable, especially with all the social distancing. Food is as great as I remember.
Amazing!! Best brunch I have had in a while! The peach salad was the best!
My service was amazing. She was kind and attentive. However the lady that was the host (blonde lady) was unfriendly and on her phone. I noticed the server was the only one that held that place together. Thank you!
Quiet ambience in the morning at 10am. Plenty of privacy between tables. Courteous service. Ordered a salmon toast, avocado Benedict. And fries. All is tasty! Would go again!
This was an enjoyable experience especially during Covid when eating out still feels a bit uneasy. But the establishment is so well organized for distance eating. The staff are more than accommodating in making certain the conditions are clean, seating runs smoothly, plenty of hand sanitizer, ect. And of course the food was terrific as always. Highly recommend.
Father’s Day celebration.
We didn’t experience anything but being serve.
No, Father’s Day greeting but, just regular service & precocious protocol on COVID-19.
This is a favorite restaurant of mine and has great food and service. The flowerpot bread is just the start of an always delicious meal!
The food exceeded our expectations. Tender moist flavorful chicken and perfect Brussels sprout salad. Pleasant outdoor patio seating shaded by umbrellas. Very good service.
Food very good with natural ingredients. Service also very attentive.
Only problem we had was the noise level. It's hard to hear.
Perhaps because it was early on a Sunday with quite a few families dining.
Excellent food! Great decor!
Better than expected!
Very disappointed. The menu looks terrific--lots of great choices. Unfortunately all 4 of us were disappointed in our meals. Appetizers (burrata and hummus) were ok, but very small sizes. Main dishes were very disappointing. Harvest bowl was mediocre, fennel salad was not good, salmon was ok. Desserts were extremely disappointing--flourless chocolate cake was cold and mediocre, coffee crème brulee was disappointing.
It was a nice place. I’m a big fan of its retail store. The staff was friendly. But, service required a little prompting and it was challenging to get the servers attention. Like we had to ask for cream for our coffees, ask for ketchup with our breakfast potatoes, when we are sharing desserts, we had to ask for knives to cut up the desserts.
Also, one thing that was quite unexpected...we were asked to leave after we finished our food, dessert, and paid our check. That was a shock and first in my life! I did take a quick look around and saw open tables that appeared to be available. To say the least... it was embarrassing. I am not clear on their policies, but it would be nice for them to post it to avoid such embarrassment and ensure equal treatment of all guests.
Other than that, it was a good experience.
Loved the food! Salad didn’t seem to have salad dressing, but natural flavor must be in.
I looked forward to the flower pot bread. It was hot and served with sweet butter.
Raw kale caesar salad was shared by two with some leftover. Braised pork belly was described as having sides of parsnips, carrots, and grits, but that doesn't convey how each one was prepared in an interesting and delicious way -- for example, the grits were formed into a thick cake and fried, golden and crisp outside and creamy soft on the inside. I loved it. Good burger and fries. The wine list included a white pet nat from Spain that was ideal for charcuterie and seafood. The carrot cake was served "inside out," with the cream cheese frosting between two thin layers of cake. Every dish we ordered pleased us. They were inventive, and portions were generous but not ridiculous. Thoughtful service. A little loud for my taste, with lots of hard surfaces bouncing sound, but a pretty place for a drink and a snack or a full meal.
I absolutely love this restaurant. I've been here several times.
It was a great spot for a sunny business meeting.
Food was great but the service was just bad. We waited so long for someone to take our order and could never find our waitress.
First time here, for lunch. We both got the quinoa bowl and iced tea. The pre meal bread in a pot with butter was amazing, as were the quinoa bowls. The restaurant has a great Vice and our server, George, was friendly, fast yet unobtrusive. Definitely will return.
Alway wonderful and inviting. Jorge is the best part of the experience and brings a great feeling of being with friends. The staff is awesome.
Good food, healthy options, snooty server
Food was awful. We both ordered the scallops, they were totally overcooked and hard. We did not send good back because we were starving. Pls do not serve overcooked scallops. Remake the dish of you have to. Complete waste of money and calories. Sorry to be harsh but literally the worst scallops we’ve ever eaten. Thx
We got there early. Had the Kale chips and fries as an appetizer. Natalie had the Kale salad and I had the burger. Burger and fries were good. Natalie did not care for the Kale Cesare salad and the Kale chips were interesting. Salty. Lovely ambiance. Attentive excellent service. Thanks!
Love it every time when I go!!!!!!
First time we ate dinner at Terrain. Highly recommend the cheese board - a large variety to sample and enough for 4 people.
I went to Terrain for lunch recently after shopping at Stanford. The bread was warm and delicious, as always. I shared the beet and farro salad with my friend and it was good but not great. Lots of farro. Not too many beats and the cheese was overpowering. I would not order it again. We also shared the grilled cheese sandwich and it was cold. Grilled cheese just isn't so good cold. Our third friend got the breakfast board and liked it. I would go back but would order different things. Worth noting that the drinks are really good. Service was also good.
Lovely restaurant, delicious food and good service. Enjoyed the hamburger, French fried and farro and beet salad
Delicious! Farro beet salad and butternut fritter are so delicious!
Food was excellent and service, although willing was a bit slow towards the end of the evening.
It’s much smaller than I expected, and lacked the overtop Anthro/Terrain vibe I’m used to. Staff & service were exceptional. Food was just ok. They were out of French toast. Ordered the burger which was just ok and cooked well done when I asked for medium. Fries were great. My friend ordered the harvest bowl and again just ok.
Not bad, but not great either.
Good food and service. Salad served with the grilled cheese sandwich was too plentiful and a tad wilted by the vinaigrette. The grilled cheese sandwich could have used a bit more Camembert cheese as well as apple slices. The mustard could not be tasted at all. Other than that it was all good.
Nice ambiance, creative food presentation. I'm not giving it a 5 stars because they cancelled my reservation even though they say they have a 15 min grace period. It was raining, couldn't find a parking spot, arrived about 10 minutes late.
It was a lovely spot to catch up with an old friend. We did not feel rushed and it was quiet enough to talk.
NIce place for brunch or breakfast. It will be nice if there will be some pastry selection.
Everything was wonderful except the truffle fries. But we enjoyed everything else very much.
I Love their green hummus, fantastic. I try to visit Terrain every time I'm in town.
Nice place but one dish was delivered late. Server seemed to be covering too many tables.
Service was very slow and had to contact the waiter at all times
