   Dinner with friends and the food is wonderful! Easy to park in Lafayette free public parking across the street or around the corner.

   Food and service were good at Teocalli in Lafayette. There were five of us seated in a booth in the main room. Margaritas were great as usual. We shared appetizers and had fun tasting the salsas. The guac was excellent and a favorite. Four were happy with choices of various al la carte tacos. One in our party that ordered carnitas reported the meat was dry and not flavorful. The biggest issue of the evening was the noise. It was a Wednesday night, which was busy but not crowded. However, the noise level was so high that we were shouting across the table to be heard. Next time, especially when there are 5 or more, I would request a table on the covered patio area or weather permitting, a table outside, which from my experience aren't so loud.

   The food was just ok. Nothing terrible, nothing to come back for more. Expect small portions, after a shared starter and main dishes we ordered a couple of tacos to feel satisfied. I know, it's a Mexican restaurant, but if you can't handle spicy food, there are no many options. I think that they do pork better than beef. The service is good, but you have to ask the servers to get out of the way the empty plates or they will be all around by the end of your meal. It's more a place for good weather.

   Shrimp ceviche, mole enchiladas, birria tacos, queso fundido - to die for. Love this place.

   Didn’t love the salsas. Service was outstanding! Tacos were ok but shrimp taco had too many flavors and I couldn’t taste any shrimp. Delightful atmosphere.

    Hard to decide what to order. Everything on the menu is great. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant.
