    Food was not flavorful at all and I think we may have inadvertently offended the chef by asking for more sauce/glaze to help the short ribs. Very disappointed in the response or lack thereof. French fries were best thing on menu.

    Had the snapper and it was microwaved and at $26 I would expect nothing but great food. Would not recommend for anyone.

    Let me be clear that the young woman whose name tag read "Kenny" was not a problem. She was doing the best she could with what she had available. She presented us with both the lunch and dinner menus as "they were out" of many things on the dinner menu. I should have gotten up and left at that point, but we chose this restaurant due to its proximity to the Saenger Theatre. We came specifically to this restaurant because quail was on the offering on the menu online--and on the dinner menu presented to us. Kenny did not indicate the kitchen was out of quail until we tried to order. My husband switched to the lunch menu, mainly sandwiches, and again was told "we're unable to serve the alligator sausage." At that point I asked, somewhat lightly, "What's going on in your kitchen?" I was incredulous when I heard the chef hadn't been in for days. Someone should have been authorized to order food to stock the kitchen, or the restaurant should have been closed. When we arrived there was one pair of diners and when we left there was a different pair of diners, who, too, were struggling with what to order. Kenny said she could provide free dessert to us. We were presented with two options, something and "cheesecake." Cheesecake turned out to be a sampler of four mini cheesecakes that seemed somewhat aged based on their texture. Please.

    Honestly, we left as soon as we saw the menu and wine list. We didn't stay and eat. It was 8 o'clock on Friday night and we were the only people in the restaurant. It was not at all what we were expecting.

    No one to greet us. One person there. She deleted our reservation on her screen when she saw our party and we were forced to go elsewhere.

    No staff to greet us at restaurant, we actually had to go to hotel desk to be seated. Restaurant was small and deserted, we were the only patrons. Limited wine menu. Wait staff did not know menu well as menu indicated two sides with entrees but would only allow us to order one. Limited menu and did not have any softshell crab for one of the pastas. The entrees were well seasoned. Limited dessert menu and cheesecake was a no-bake that tasted like it was straight from JELL-O.

    We knew we'd be arriving late in New Orleans, with a short time window to have dinner before theatre at the Saengar. So, we made a reservation at the restaurant in our hotel(The Saint). Beautiful place, interesting menu, easy walk to show. What could go wrong? Everything! Despite telling our waitress we wanted to order quickly, we waited 40 minutes for barely-edible food, which I suspect was prepared offsite. Like banquet fare...far below New Orleans standards. Not tempting at all. Still love the hotel, but there's a mcDonalds across the street, I'd recommend.

    Service was awful! We were the first table seated on a Saturday night, at 730 we left to make our show with no food!

    It was just ok. Fine for a bite before a show at the Saenger, but don't go with high expectations because they will be miserably crushed.

    After a long day of sightseeing in NOLA, we just wanted to grab a bite to eat at our hotel. We were apprehensive because no one was there. We decided to give it a try anyway. Much to our surprise, we enjoyed a dinner that ranked with any we had throughout the area. We chose the dinner for two option ($50) with appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert & 2 glasses of wine. The oyster app. was fantastic !!! Our entrees were just as fabulous, double cut pork chop & catfish. Cheescake & cobbler for dessert. The staff was very attentive and the chef even came out to explain the menu and offer his suggestions. If you're looking for a quiet dinner place without all the tourist hype, give Tempt a try.
