Great place to dine while we still have COVID concerns. Huge porch and lawn makes social distancing easy and I'm much more comfortable eating outdoors given the current virus concerns. Lot's of great menu options. Food is really good but service is a bit slow, which is probably due to the added complications from the required COVID precautions.

This is our last evening in the area after spending a week in Carbondale. What a special way to end our time here. Best dinner we had all week. The staff was super nice and was supportive of each other. Our server, Angie, was super awesome. Very attentive! Did not really know what to order, so we ordered seven different plates for four people and grazed, finished it all including four desserts. If we make it back, we will definitely good back. Sat on the patio, everyone was spaced out, servers were all wearing masks, felt very safe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Overall, this restaurant provided a very nice dinner experience. There’s an abundance of outdoor seating, and the service and food are mostly good. I ordered four tapas, and there was nice variety, quality ingredients, and good overall presentation. No fundamental complaints, but some dishes were simply better than others; a bit of a mixed review on flavors, creativity, and overall impression. For example, the morcilla bruschetta (tostada de morcilla) was quite excellent, with its combination of raisins and onions with the sausage, but the tempura eggplant, with its drizzle of honey, was less remarkable. Likewise, the dates wrapped in Serrano ham was quite good, except the particular ham used gave the impression of cardboard, although the goat cheese and sweetness of the dates overpowered that initial impression. Perhaps an ingredient issue? Finally, the service was adequate, and no fundamental complaints, but it took often 40 minutes between tapas, on a busy Friday night. I overheard my neighbors complaining that their first course took over an hour to arrive. It’s good to be busy, but not good to leave the customers waiting. Moreover, my server failed to mention the evening’s specials; I only learned later, when I overheard the same server’s presentation at a neighboring table, that there were in fact evening specials. Despite my caveats, I do recommend this restaurant, but I suggest you make plenty of time, and don’t forget to ask about the specials!

Great setting sit out on the deck. We ordered a bunch of tapas and everything we ordered was delicious - including the sangria and a slushie cold beer on a hot day in July. The wait staff was attentive and entertaining. The whole experience made our last day of vacation a memorable one. We will definitely be back!

Lovely meal outside tonight. Food was delicious, service was personable, ambiance was magnificent. We sat outside and brought our doodle. It was dog night, a Pyrenees, two greyhounds outdoors. So much fun. One of our favorites in Basalt. Thank you for an enchanting evening.

My favorite place is the RFV to have dinner. I do miss the free bread (due to cheap people only eating bread and water and taking up tables). But other then that the restaurant great!

We drove specifically to Basalt from Frisco to celebrate our anniversary. We love this restaurant. Really nice menu, tasty dishes, and great cocktails and white [made to order- Sangria.

With Covid state restaurant restrictions in place to 50% capacity, i was a little surprised to have the entire 50% outside...so to me, tables were a little too close.

I noted in our reservation that it was our anniversary...and after spending $200 on dinner... it was a surprised that they did not even offer a free dessert....oh well.

All in all, we still will look forward to going back for the food. If we lived closer, we would be a frequent diner!

Very nice tapas dinner in downtown basalt. Good cocktails, great octopus, the pequillos were delicious as were the gambas. Amazing tiramisu.

This restaurant is a delight. We've been coming to Aspen for years and the restaurant scene there is lively but it can be tiresome after a while (and expensive). A short drive to "old Basalt" (not the area you see off the highway, but on the other side) and voila! Here is Tempranillo - a charming restaurant with amazing food inspired by Spanish cuisine, with a wine list that features highly curated European wines at very reasonable prices. Try the specials - the lobster ravioli was amazing. Quiet enough for conversation, easy to park right out front, and very approachable, welcoming service. Enjoy!

Valentines night out, the place was packed! The food and service did not suffer tho. Great service, wonderful food, good conversation with the table next to us. Yes they pack the tables very close for Valentines but part of the fun is meeting new people. Our favorite go to for Valentines or other occasions.

Flavors are rich and layered. Fabulous wine list. Ambience warm and golden lit. Felt lucky to get last minute reservations. Stayed across the street at Basalt Mountain Inn which allowed us to walk to and fro dinner. While it exudes old world the menu couldn't be any more contemporary with locally sourced ingredients. Really well done.
