Patrice was our server and was outstanding. Can’t wait to dine here again.
Had a really wonderful evening at Tempranillo with some dear friends. Requested to be seated in their outdoor, heated venue. Felt nice and safe during Covid. Food/wine was great!
We had a reservation, the host sat us at the bar. I pointed out that we had a reservation and preferred a table. The host rudely informed us that everyone had a reservation. I had requested patio seating , didn’t get that either. The host did seat us at a table right next to the door to the patio. When our meals came mine was incorrect I had ordered rack of lamb and was brought steak. They did correct the mistake however my husband felt uncomfortable eating his meal while I was waiting for mine. When the check came it was the wrong check, again this was corrected. We understand the difficulties during the Covid restrictions and it was Valentine’s evening. We have dined here previously on Valentine’s evening and they have always done an outstanding job. But this particular evening was a disappointment to us. We will give them another chance on a not so busy evening. I might add that the host was rather curt with the waitstaff creating a not so relaxing atmosphere.
The owner at the host stand was very rude and put us at a table next to the door. Which it was 20 degrees on Valentine’s Day. You would think since it was my fiancé and I’s 6 year anniversary that they wouldn’t have sat us next to the door. Also it was a hassle to get the owner to close the door. Luckily an older couple complained for us and they finally shut the door. Drinks and food came in a timely manner. Hernan was on top of things, but hovered over us to much and never acknowledged our 6 year anniversary. So if you come here for your anniversary just know it won’t be acknowledged.
We love Patrice! Excellent food and time as always!
The service was incredibly attentive and punctual. Food was outstanding. Price was as expected.
We waited for over 45 minutes for a server to take our order.
My salmon was dry snd the pasta had no sauce on it. Usually very Good food but that night wasn’t.
Great waitstaff - friendly and knowledgeable. Two gas fireplaces inside which creates a cozy atmosphere. Quality of food fit the cost.
Great menu and service. Well-executed. Overall, an excellent experience and worth a short drive if staying outside Basalt.
We went to this lovely Spanish restaurant in quaint little town of Basalt!
The whole overall experience was 5-star! The wine selection was one of the very best in the Roaring Fork Valley! The service was very experienced and knowledgeable about the food selections!
Excellent food and service. Can’t wait to go back.
Amazing food and excellent wine. It felt spacious and safe amid COVID restrictions and this was our first time eating out in quite some time. I ordered the Parpadelle con Setas which I would highly recommend.
We had the salmon tempranillo and a mahi mahi special, both of which were excellent. The desserts weren't as good. Our server was very attentive,
Gambas al ajillo were on point, Batatas a la Brava could've been more spicy and the Albóndigas were unimpressive. Specialty tapa with Octopus and Scallops were flat, need to be more creative with the flavors there.
Osobuco, Gnocchi and carrots were good as a combination, the meat alone was a bit dry.
the restaurant's atmosphere is warm and welcoming we arrived a few minutes late but we were very well received, the delicious food our fantastic wine and the attention of Marcelo who made our New Year's Eve night the best we received, thank you very much we will recommend it to our friends and we will surely return
Cena de Año Nuevo 2021. La comida deliciosa como siempre y el servicio muy amable y atento.
La pasamos increíble!
Awful. Won’t return. They are acting like COVID doesn’t exist. Operating at full capacity. Crowded.
The service here is always excellent as is the food. The staff are kind and helpful. So is the management/owners. We have been coming here for years whenever we are in town and will continue to do so. They did a great job this new year's eve with masks and keeping tables apart.
Unlike some of the negative reviews on this restaurant, this review is nothing but positive. Not sure why folks write bad reviews on this establishment (probably because they are all Karens). Great food and beverages and service. One of the best restaurants in the area.
The name would indicate a focus on Spanish/Mexican cuisine but this is misleading. There are dishes from many areas including a great pasta selection. The bartender made a great Manhattan and the calamari was a different presentation than I have had but I really enjoyed the combination with chorizo. The restaurant and staff do what they can to reduce the spread including wearing masks and gloves. If you are looking for something out of Aspen and much more affordable give Temporanillo a try.
23rd birthday dinner for my son and his roommates. Everything was excellent, food, service and atmosphere.
The food was AMAZING! Every single thing we tried was very good. Even the kids menu food. The black paella wow. The goat cheese tapas were super delicious. We will be back.
Excellent , creative menu combining Spanish tapas and Italian cuisine. Great atmosphere and great service
Always a great experience!
I had reserved outdoor table. They were not serving outside. I changed the time to 2pm and we were told the chef left early. No communication between site and establishment
There was a bit of a hiccup with our reservation but the bartender saved the day. We had the end of the communal table right in front of the fireplace with plenty of distance from other diners. We shared the excellent fried artichoke and the calamari, then branzino, lobster ravioli and penne. All of us loved our food and the ambiance.
We had a Covid Friendly ladies lunch today! We all agreed that this will be a once a week thing with our “bubble”! Only here because the food, the service, the everything is absolutely perfect! Ask for Bob the server/bartender. And the owners Laura and Javier are the best! You will be taken care of each and every time! We will be back next week! Thanks again! SO much fun! And the food is always on point! Yum!!!
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! Loved our table near the fireplace. The gluten-free fried calamari was a real treat for me. (I have severe reaction to gluten.) There are many gluten-free options available. Highly recommended!
Tempranillo is our favorite restaurant in the valley- hands down. We bring our young kids and they love it too. We are always welcomed and the food is always 5 stars!
Had a really nice night at this establishment. Our waiter was fun and energetic and the food was great. Staff did a good job respecting social distancing and spreading us out. Frankly, the food is better than almost all of the the food in Aspen, where we live. Thank you to waiter Robert C.
Delicious food! And we appreciate how conscientious Tempranillo is during this Covid situation! Table distancing and mask wearing was welcome!
Great Service! It is always a good experience ! .
Wonderful food and atmosphere
Wonderful service! Grilled octopus, chiopino, and spaghetti vongole...all were fantastic! Definitely the best restaurant in our area for Mediterranean food and wine. Also, special evening prices for locals, couples, etc.
The food was great the service was great the nice waitress could not have been better love the restaurant will be back again soon
To me, Tempranillo is the best place in the valley. Everything is just delicious, interesting flavors, extremely well prepared. There are also some fantastic vegan options. Highly recommend!
Outstanding food, service and wine selection.
Might be the best veal marsala ever had - world wide!
Excellent staff, attentive service, but not intrusive.
Couldn’t have been better. Wonderful service at the bar. The variety of Tapas we’re excellent and very tasty. Lovely meal altogether!
Great outdoor seating area, servers were kind and attentive to COVID protocols. Wine list is a delight, we had two wines that were exceptional. Also very good cocktails. The fried artichoke hearts were an excellent start and we really enjoyed the other tapas we ordered. What a gem!!
My first time dining at Tempranillo and it was terrific. We all had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals: paella, grilled tuna filet, Osso Bucca. We were able to eat outdoors.
