Gonzalez-Bringas, a Madrid Native, combines an old-world style with a new-world flair in his signature cuisine. The name Tempranillo, itself, pays homage to one of Spain's premier grape varieties, and true to its name the restaurant features a selection of over 100 hand-chosen wines. The atmosphere at Tempranillo is notable for its rich colors, dual fireplaces, and community gathering table-all reflecting the equally rich depth of flavors and influences which are at the heart of the restaurant's origins. It is a beautiful place. We sat on the patio which was closed in when it cooled off in the evening and was very comfortable and nicely lit and decorated. The noise level was uncomfortable, mainly because of a table of people that were very loud. Normally I would guess this wouldn’t be the case. Overall great.

We love this restaurant. We always try and sit at Saul's tables as he is the best waiter.
The Manhattans are perfect. We usually order from the tapas menu so we can try a variety of food. It is a wonderful experience.

We have dined several times at this neat old restaurant in Basalt. The service is always excellent and the food is consistently good.. Well worth the trip.

Really nice outdoor dining space. Food was solid, some of it even very good, but the price relative to flavor development could have been better. Lower prices or a little more work on the dishes. Mushrooms were a standout and the dressing on the poached pear was nice.

They are suffering from staffing shortages as is everyone. Our salad arrived before our cocktails, our food arrived before our wine. The food was delicious as usual and the outside patio is always pleasant. Hopefully one day things will be back to normal.

Our server was wonderful in terms of "reading the table" and making recommendations to suit. Food and wine were very good. We sat on the patio on a nice summer evening and had a very pleasant evening.

I called at the last minute requesting an outside table for 9 and they were happy to accommodate us. I gave a high rating for service even though the service was rather slow. We were amazed that the service was as good as it was considering that our waiter was responsible for the entire outdoor area. (And possibly inside as well!). We knew that there is a severe shortage of restaurant employees in the Valley so we were happy to sip our excellent Sangria and enjoy leisurely dining! Lunch was delicious and as previously mentioned, the Sangria was over the top. We will definitely return!

Have eaten at Tempranillo many times. This was our worst experience. Terrible service and the Tapas menu has been revised for the worse. No more manchego and sausages and bread...a tiny portion of sausage on a bit of machego..Pailla was just OK, nothing special. After about 15 minutes the waitress took our order for wine and tapas. 15 more minutes we got the wine but waited at least 30 minutes for the tapas and another 30 for our main order. Asked for bread as we were waiting so long but were told it was not available except on the tapas....two small pieces. Very disappointed.....

As always, Tempranillo is far and away the best restaurant in the Valley. The service, the menu selections, the wine list and the food itself is always five star. It is the perfect spot for a celebration, a quiet dinner for two or just a fine meal.

They squeezed 6 adults, (one is 6’4”) onto a four person table.
I sat on the end and it was very crowded.
The back of my chair almost backed up to the other table.
They care about profit, not your comfort.
The food was just average and not creative in the least.

Had planned a special dinner out based on their menu. When we arrived they were out of gluten free pasta which we were looking forward to since we have a GF child. The food was good, beautiful setting but service was not great.

The restaurant was extremely busy and service very slow The ambiance is lovely
for a very large restaurant. It took a long while to order drinks after being seated
and the food was average I would return when it is less busy and hopefully
have a more positive experience

A wonderful Dinner experience on the patio in Basalt. Summer Salad with Watermelon and Heirloom Tomatoes. Chicken Picatta was cooked to perfection as was the Shrimp and Arugula. Hernan was very attentive.
