Wonderful service! Grilled octopus, chiopino, and spaghetti vongole...all were fantastic! Definitely the best restaurant in our area for Mediterranean food and wine. Also, special evening prices for locals, couples, etc.
The food was great the service was great the nice waitress could not have been better love the restaurant will be back again soon
To me, Tempranillo is the best place in the valley. Everything is just delicious, interesting flavors, extremely well prepared. There are also some fantastic vegan options. Highly recommend!
Outstanding food, service and wine selection.
Might be the best veal marsala ever had - world wide!
Excellent staff, attentive service, but not intrusive.
Couldn’t have been better. Wonderful service at the bar. The variety of Tapas we’re excellent and very tasty. Lovely meal altogether!
Great outdoor seating area, servers were kind and attentive to COVID protocols. Wine list is a delight, we had two wines that were exceptional. Also very good cocktails. The fried artichoke hearts were an excellent start and we really enjoyed the other tapas we ordered. What a gem!!
My first time dining at Tempranillo and it was terrific. We all had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals: paella, grilled tuna filet, Osso Bucca. We were able to eat outdoors.
What a wonderful find! We drove over from Aspen to check out Basalt and couldn’t have landed better! Our server, Patrice, guided us to a yummy dry white Basque wine to start and then a very tasty Tempranillo red for dinner (much better value than the $$$$ wines at some Aspen places). We went the Tapas route - all delicious. Def a return visit in store😁😁!
This was our second visit to Tempranillo. It was amazing. Our server, Adam, was personal, professional and fun. He added to the positive experience for sure. We had the Carpaccio Salad, which was the evening special salad and several tapas choices. All were excellent. My husband lived the Ahi Tuna and the grilled shrimp tapas. We also had two of the calamari choices. All great. And, not to forget, the excellent drinks. I had two Manhattans and my husband had a gin and tonic. Great food, service and ambience.
Can’t get back soon enough.
Always good food and service. Try to have dinner at Tempranillo every time we are in the area and it never disappoints. I usually have a pasta dish which is always prepared in a creative way.
Our food was delicious - the paella was rich in flavor, could be divided by 2. It was a busy night and a little short staffed, so patience is a virtue. Just relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
I got engaged on the patio
The whole Resturant clapped and engaged in the celebration
No one from the staff or even our waiter acknowledged that it even happened
That was kind of disappointing
I got engaged and it was very special on the patio
Loved everything here. Delicious food. Fabulous, attentive service.
Always great and I love supporting a local business
The best Resturant in the area. Everything is just like having a burst of flavor in your mouth. Could go every night the menu is extensive. Fantastic flavors it’s hard to choose what to have so you’ll want to go many times to try different delicious things.
Always enjoy this spot!
Everything was delicious. I don’t eat desserts typically but since the dinner was so good I had to order a dessert. Everything was great and the service was on point. I highly recommend the mushroom tapas, calamari, and bacon wrapped dates for tapas.
Fantastic dinning on the lawn on a beautiful fall night
Incredible meal and service, I felt like I was transported to Spain and Italy!
Service was fabulous! It was SO energetic and the food was top notch! Always our favorite!
Tempranillo offers extremely poor service. Not only that, but the staff is rude. It took twenty minutes to seat us (with a reservation and plenty of empty tables). Then it took another 30 minutes to get a drink. The food was alright, but not worth the wait!
Great location, menu is fabulous and so is the food.
Great authentic Spanish/Mediterranean restaurant in a small tourist mecca in the Rocky Mountains. Has a large tapas menu, good pasta dishes (Rigatoni a la Vodka is especially tasty), and many specials. Huge beer, wine and spirits menu.
Four of us stopped by for lunch on the way to Aspen. Without exception, all of our meals were delicious - from the caesar salad, their specialty salad, calamari, soup of the day and salmon. We were also able to eat outside which is important to us these days. We also had a very friendly, helpful server.
The food was wonderful as always! Was a 21st birthday celebration for my twins. Could not have been better!
Feels like grand European manor house. Seating prompt, pleasant spot in front of fireplace. Serevice attentative and efficient, our waiter was knowledgable and helped us make selections, glad we took his advice. Interesting Medeterranean menu. Hostess checked on us to ensure everything was perfect. Drive to Basalt was so worth the excellent experience. A pleasure at all levels.
The server that sat us didn’t come back around. So another server came to the table. But she rarely came around to talk or ask about anything. We were there for 3 hours not somewhere I would go again.
We arrived and waited to be greeted and seated. We watched a waitress have a temper tantrum with the bar tender. Finally the bar tender came over to seat us. I said that we had a reservation and she said it didn’t matter. She took us to a table that was very close to a large party and I asked if we could go to a different table in the corner. A waiter came by just then and said “of course” and seated us. We waited for awhile and finally the waitress who was clearly not having a good evening, came by, poured us water and said that they were short staffed and she would be back later We waited another 15 minutes with out anyone taking a drink order or coming by with bread or acknowledgement. We watched the waitress approach other employees to complain about how busy she was as we and other tables sat waiting. So we drank the water, left a 5 dollar bill on the table and left. We were told that the food was excellent by locals earlier that day so we were looking forward to a wonderful evening and meal. It was my husband’s birthday. Very disappointing. I’m assuming it was just one of those nights.
Our server was great but unfortunately there was a female server who was very unpleasant. When we walked in to claim our reservation, before I could say one word, she loudly directed me to the restroom. I told her we were checking in and she led us to a table and walked off. We moved to a different more socially distanced table. She continued to yell across the restaurant to other servers, “I got it!” Anyway, Tempranillo was recommended to us and the atmosphere was awesome, the food was nice, but this server was disappointing. Hopefully, she was just having a bad night.
Great food, great service and wonderful outdoor patio!
Spectacular night. great outdoor dining. Food was fabulous
I’m there a couple times a week and it’s always absolutely fabulous!
This is my new favorite restaurant in the Roaring Fork Valley, I feel like I am in Europe.
I always enjoy dining at Tempranillo. The food, service, and ambiance is wonderful!
Extremely service oriented.
Perfectly prepared food.
Great meal I. All respects
Interesting the concept of the Spanish cuisine, traditional of course, and delicious. Marcelo did an outstanding approach to the menu and the wine pairing, he suggested the right portions so we were satisfied, therefore the service was impeccable.
Beautiful building and yard, good food ,but service was extremely slow. Entrée did not arrive until one hour and 20 minutes after arrival. Ordered the bread and it took over an hour to arrive. We came for 27th anniversary and definitely had time to recap each and every year.
Beautiful setting and delicious food. Waiter was inexperienced and overwhelmed. This would have been 5 stars if the service had been average or above. I highly recommend though.
Food consistently outstanding.
Staff also exceptional - on 2 occasions, one Xmas Day, they have offered us service after normal closing hours - even when we were only customers in the restaurant.
Clearly customer service well above and beyond others!
