Tempranillo
As usual the food was terrific especially the cioppino.
I would tell them the food and service are excellent, however, I will never come back The noise level is HORRIBLE!!
We had a very good dinner with a quiet table, and reasonable service.
Always fabulous food and Sabina is the BEST!
Food choices and flavors outstanding. Friendly and helpful staff. Well preserved old building with charming ambience. Weather permitting prefer outside.
The best things about Tempranillo are interesting tapas and starters, a unique wine list and outstanding servers. Our server Kara the other night was friendly, efficient and funny
Birthday celebration
Amazing food, service & ambiance. Loved chatting with the owners as well!!! Highly recommend this restaurant for a casual or very special occasion.
We had a excellent dinner and our wait staff Craig was so much fun.
We always enjoy dining at Tempranillo. Lovely evening in the porch with yummy food and attentive service.
great as usual - love tempranillo
love the paella hooray
A very lovely evening. Great service. Wonderful and interesting tapas meal. Realistic prices. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Maybe they were having an off night, but there didn’t seem to be a host available to seat guests. A harried server seemed put out, but told me to choose a table on the lawn, since we had our dog with us. We did as instructed, until we noticed aphids crawling all over the table and ourselves. Once we finally got reseated and we’re taken care of by a very accommodating server, all was well. The food was good, but not special. I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again, as the restaurant is Iovely
Waiter was wonderful. Went back next night, just two of us. Got the same waiter, same experience. Good experience. Thanks.
It's a great place, ambience, atmosphere, dining experience, wines. I was introducing new friends in the area to the restaurant and Basalt. They had a blast and will be back on their own.
The ambience and energy in the venue is terrific and the service was very good. We enjoyed a 2 tapas plates to start and a salad, for our entree, we decided to enjoy a paella dish for two, but the paella that was served was a little dry and not quite what we had hoped for.
This was not our first time dining at Tempranillo and it will certainly not be our last, as it is one of our favorite restaurants in the Roaring Fork Valley. There are plenty of other outstanding entrees that we have enjoyed previously.
we enjoyed our meal very much the only drawback was that they seated a couple next to us when there were at least 6 open tables of the same size in either direction
Great dining experience. Food was delicious and the outside ambience was really nice.
Never disappointed, creative menu, delicious food, charming setting
Service was very slow and not friendly. Was rushed to order even though we wanted to have a drink first. Food was not prepared fresh seemed to be microwaved ! Fun menu but overall a poor experience.
We are sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Just want to let you know that there is NO microwave in our building. Thanks
Server was surly and unpleasant the entire night. She seemed harried and easily annoyed. She literally rolled her eyes when my teen & tween made special requests on their orders. When I asked if I could have a side of parm while she was spooning it on my plate, she basically dropped the dish & spoon on the table with a “fine, whatever “ attitude. Food was good but this was not the kind of friendly local service we expected in a cool little town like Basalt.
We love Tempranillo and make it a point to go anytime we are near Basalt, CO!
Best restaurant in the valley. Tempranillo is a welcome treat anytime, especially after we have ride our bicycles over Hagerman Pass. Can't wait until we get to visit again next year.
Loved this place! My husband and I honeymooned in Spain and the food was very comparable. It was nice to find a true, authentic Spanish food restaurant- they are hard to come by in the states! We had a great date night here and could reminisce on our honeymoon over our meals. Beautiful location and lovely patio and staff. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait to come back to Basalt and eat here again!
We really appreciate the extra effort made to get me the Pistons Ginger cocktail, even though it was no longer on the drink menu. Our food was soooo very delicious! Thanks
Great food and solid wine list. We stop in here every time we’re fly fishing in the area.
We sat on the patio and had excellent service and delicious food.
Outdoor dining on the veranda in a perfect Rocky Mountain town...delightful. Our tapas were delicious, especially the grilled shrimp and clams in wine sauce. Even more memorable was the flan, not to be missed!
Very special and great time! We will be back again and again!
Great patio area, nice town to explore, tapas style menu great for sharing
The food and experience was excellent! Great spot. Very popular for people watching, great food and a local vibe!
Every dish was superb, even my picky son was happy. And a superb Roja!
The patio was extremely loud so we ate inside. Marcelo was outstanding. We had several taps and a great pallella. Great wine, great service.
The service continues to be extremely slow.
Service was horrible. The table next to us arrived after our group and yet they got served before us. Food and wine were not up to our standards or expectations
We especially chose Tempranillo for my husband's birthday this year. As always, the food and setting were wonderful. However, the service was terrible! We sat for 20 minutes after finishing before our plates were cleared. The waitstaff was unattentive! I asked for the check 2 times and when it was brought to me I received a quick apology for the delay "but we've got a full house tonight." Extremely disappointing experience!
Birthday dinner on patio
The food at Tempranillo is amazing. Alot of variety, excellent flavors. My favorite small plate is mussels in a saffron lemon cream sauce. I dream of these. They also have some well priced delicious wines. Service has always been terrific. They have nice outdoor eating in the summer. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Great place to meet with friends and family. Outside in the summer evening is a beautiful setting.
Good food and good wine
Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere soothing and quiet on a Wednesday night. Food was very delicious and the wine our waiter helped us picked was perfect. Love this quaint restaurant.
